Please see illustration. In this example, the main door can be any where in the home. Here, this illustration, the main door is at the right side of the home. As you had mentioned that there is a balcony and open space = most probably, your frontage, is here. Thus in the attachment, you should be taking a reading under marking BLUE "A" looking out towards "B". Brennon K. wrote: My door is almost always open as there is a balcony and open space in front of it. The door is located in the NW sector of the house but the door itself faces N. So is my house considered to be facing NW or N? Thanks for any advice

Hi Cecil, thanks for your reply, NE2 is my livig hall, and you are right SW2 is my kitchen area, actually from the back doorto the main road, there is about 30ft of empty land, i did plant some vege there and it also a area i play with my dogmost the time, butthere also use as my dog daily 'discharge' area. it seem that a bit of dilemma at this moment. the reason behind is my main door is at NE2, if the house facing of SW2 is right, than Water star 8 will be at my NE2 area which is my main door area and living hall, those i can make use the powerful flying star 8 at NE2. i have a thought, will i be a good choice to put a water feature at NE2 to test if there is any mone…

1. It depends. If the base star is #8; then a clock can still be used to disarm MS#5 with WS#2. 2. But if the star is a MS#8 in the above arrangement e.g. MS#8 with WS#5 or #2 then it is preferred not to use the moving clock as it is detrimental to the Mountain Star #8. 3. If the auspicious water star is #8; then a moving clock can still be used as Metal and water are harmonious combiantions.

1. Please note the the Eight House concept is more useful when we are trying to select which home to purchase. 2. Once, we are "stuck" with a specific home and trying to apply the Eight House concept; then; all these become "NICE-to-have" and not a "MUST-have". 3. For example, once we have either stayed in a specific home or are going to occupy the home; one cannot change where the bedrooms are. If the bedrooms are all in the North, South, SE or East sectors; then in the first instance; how to "MUST-have"sleep in a good sector. 4. If it is nearly impossible to do so; then again it would be "NICE-to-have" sleep with the head facing a good direction. 5. Thus; overall, …

One can still use wind chimes within these sectors other than the following:- 1. Try to use a 6-HOLLOW rod wind chime. Avoid using solid rods. 2. So long as there are no Chinese temples or cemetry along the NE or SW "line".

Yes, in layman terms; center-of-gravity and centerpoint or if you want to call it "Center of area" is similar. Usually, center-of-gravity is more specific to a person, photocopy a layout; paste it on a cardboard; cut-out the outline and balance this item on a pin to locate the center-of-gravity. While drawing a centerpoint is just that : looking at an image and trying to figure out where the centrepoint is. Center = American Centre = British

Please ponder over the following information:- 1. Under Period 8, is it true that #8 is the auspicious number? 2. Under Period 8, #8 especially Mountain and/or Water star(s) are considered the current prosperity stars. 3. When one hears of double auspicious #8's, especially the 20 year flying star; it is always good to have these two stars at the most yang qi area e.g. frontage of the home. 4. Under Para 3, if the MS#8 can live happily side by side with WS#8; then just imagine when a #8 flies in.. what is the outcome of a MS#8 and this monthly WS#8?

1. Realistically, one of the key ideas of the Eight House or East/West Group is howsuitable the home is to the breadwinner. 2. Once you have purchased such a home, you asked a question:- "how is it possible to have my main door to face East?" You already know the answer. Not possible! It is not you can get the earthquake to shift your "west" facing home to a east facing home! For example, if you have a family of 8! You cannot be expected to purchase a saloon car that sits 4 + 1 the most! Unless you are going to tie some family members on the bonnet; leave two family members in the trunk! For goodness sake, if you have a family of 8! and need a ride! GET a large MPV! …

I see. Are there any priority between them? In Eva Wong book, it says that water star has the highest priority, followed by base star and then mountain star. So, if the water star is bad star like #5, it needs two good stars each in base and mountain to make it even. If the mountain star is the neutral star, then there is still has bad effect because the good star in base star can't fight the bad star in water star. Do you use the same approach? Or do they have same priority? Thanks in advance

1. There is the "physical" Feng Shui items e.g. for activating a mountain such as a real wall or a brick or a rock or even a safe can represent it. 2. Another category of Feng Shui is known as "SYMBOLISM". Thus, the mountain picture you mentioned symbolises a mountain. Even a picture of the undulating great wall of China picture may act as a "mountain". It does not have to be a REAL mountain. 3. Thus, to activate a water position, the most common traditional method is a painting such as this attached 9 fishes on each side "meeting" each other.... Thus, it symbolises "a metal-water" feature.

Further to what I had mentioned, even if you become the "King" of Feng Shui and try to outlaw 6 coins, what happens? 1. There will always be people selling a set of six coins tied with red string. 2. Many Feng Shui practitioners may recommend the placement of six coins, and some even asks their client(s) to place a row of six coins above the main door. As these practitioners perceive that Feng Shui has time dimensions and there is bound to be #5 or #2 or even #3 "flying" to a certain sector be it in that month, day, hour or minute. 3. In the past, when China closed it's doors to exports, what happened? Many trades person migrate overseas e.g. towards Thailand, Malaysia…

1. We human beings have our birthday (Date and time of birth). 2. Similarly, a home also has it's birthday. Flying star Feng Shui is about the "birthchart" of a home. 3. In general, the home is considered as the environment we live in. 4. Thus, it is always good to first plot the chart of the home's birth chart e.g. use Flying Star Feng Shui, first. 5. Next, we then apply the Eight House (East/West group). Applying this concept should be considered as "NICE-TO-HAVE" and not a "MUST-HAVE". 5.1. For example, even under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, often even for a bedroom, there are limited ways to place a bed. As there is the bedroom door, often, the attached bathroom…

1. You should be more concerned with some of the points found under this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F 2. For example, a frontage at NE and East will vastly affect how the water (rain water) drains from your plot of land to out of your home. This may sound very simple, but in general for most homes, there are often two directions wheredrainage will equate with Wealth and the third direction will equate with "Power and Authority" for the person staying there. 3. The saying goes " a little knowledge is a dangerous thing"! And for proper Feng Shui to work, it is needs a holistic approach. 4. What you are trying to practise is both …

1. Hopefully the stove is not directlyat the NW cardinal point. Even still, this is considered as a major flaw while the NE missing corner is less serious. Both issues can be negated. But NW, can still be a "thorn" in the bush. 2. If the condo has more than Three major "leaks"; one is most likely on the way to "serious" issues.

1. Many professional Feng Shui practitioners would strongly suggest that one draw at least two Flying Star charts for such a home. 2. As this subject of how easy to change a house's birth chart can be disputed both ways:- Argument 1: Some practitioners insist that do or die, only when the foundations are changed, then the house Feng Shui may change! Argument 2: One of the activities such as living it empty and re-occupying the home, in addition to giving it a fresh coat of paint. And removing the roof, and changing the main doors etc... Under argument 2, it is frankly difficult to say for sure what consititues a "thorough" change of a home's birth chart. As some sa…

1. Frankly, if one simply applies the Eight House (Eight Mansions) or Ba Chai Feng Shui, what you had mentioned is very common occurence. 2. Feng Shui is far more "complex" than this and the external Feng Shui : The environment, the site, the building are equally important in the proper assessment of the home. Thus, what you had mentioned is to general for a genuine assessment purely based on Feng Shui. 3. Numerology or house number will often not affect the Feng Shui. But as you had mentioned, usually may affect the resale value as well as one's personal feelings: if we don't feel good about something then it affects our "Human luck" factor. Here, the holy trinity of …

1. If you are applying Flying Star Feng Shui, it is best to look at both the interaction of the Mountain Star# with Water Star #8 at that sector. (Base star should be noted) 2. For example, if the Mountain Star is #3 (bad wood) element, and the water star is #8, water fuels #3 leading to issues like: Conflicts, quarrels, lawsuits etc.... Quote: Pito W. wrote: I hope you indulge myamatuer question. I have always wondered whether or not one could activate a water star 8 with water if it is in the NE being that this is the Direct Spirit? also, does one need a window or a door facing this activated direction to capture it's auspiciousness?

1. Yes, I can truly understand your predicament. 2. As a 2D top view of the layout - truly extremely difficult to determine the facing. Especially since the main entrance area does not exactly "house the living room" and the living room has its own set of windows that face approx. NW. 3. Furthermore, the dining area seems to be another candidate. 4. Thus in my opinion, based soley on the 2D view alone, very difficult to determine the facing. 5. The best method is often for those who have stayed in such a home is to draw several flying star chart and check the history of the persons staying in your home. 6. Often professional practitioners, prefer to be onsite, and s…

It is interesting that 8 to 10 years ago, whenever someone wants to find out Chinese "mystic" practises, will most of the time search the internet for "astrology" or "Chinese zodiac" signs. It was rare at that time for a search of : Feng Shui or the dialect term of "Fung sway" etc... Nowadays, many can seem to correctly search for "Feng Shui". This is good because: Chinese astrology in my opinion may lead to "auto suggestion" and even "self-fullfilling prophecy!". In the past, I cannot really see the correlation between a geomancer siting on the road side, "dictating" some one else's future. If the geomancer can "predict" someone else future, why can't he predict hi…

1. Frankly it is very easy to come up with creative names and concepts:- 1.1. What is a dwarf ? Imagine lying on a bed. A bed is often from floor level to a few feet up in the air. And a dwarf is often no less higher than a regular bed. 1.2 What is an olympic (or Dimensional)? Imagine the ceiling of any home. It is hope that if one can do a high jump equivalent to the ceiling.. well, there is the Olympic Gold medal for you! 2. How do we go from here? 2.1 Nowadays, many people read too many books on Feng Shui or ill advised by their family, relatives or friends or hear say that it is no good to have a ceiling fan mounted above one's bed! 2.2 Why? 2.3 Hey! Don't ha…

1. Under the Five element concept, no matter how, #3 is still a wood element. And in some instances, it can help to exhaust say bad earth e.g. #2 or #5. Much like a tree (wood) has roots that can "dig" into the earth to get nourishment thus exhausting bad #2 or #5! 2. In addition, there is the 81 combinations of Mountain star with Water star. And some of these 81 combinations can yield favourable results! 3. Thus, it is too immature or fool hardy to think only of #3 as a rotten star! 4. In addition, when Period 3 comes, #3 will be the jewel in the crown of Period 3! And under Period 2, #3 will be come the future prosperity star! Thus in general, in isolation, it is …

Sorry, I am afraid that it is indeed a "silly" question. First time I have heard planting alarge tree to represent a mountain! Oh Boy! 1. Many trees have a tree trunk. And as the tree grow older, the trunk may be thick and hopefully it does not become a "poison arrow" slicing towards the main entrance door or even a window such as the window of the living room. This may inadvertenly create sha qi (poison arrow). 2. Under the Five Elements concept:- Imagine a large tree, it has roots that dig into earth to weaken earth. Thus if this sector say has an auspicious mountain star e.g. earth #8. Then imagine the roots of the plants will go and dig into the earth! Ideally, it …
