Learn how to determine whether your house is good or bad

  1. Started by nntpguest,

Dear Master Cecil, I am a weak metal person, according to your free report, and my kua is 9. Still in your free report that suggest house suitable for me is facing south. My question is: as the facing house is south, means sitting position is on north. Do you agree that as a weak metal person, water in my sitting position will exhaust my energy so that my metal becoming weaker? Do south still my favourite facing house? Thank you, regards, Wawan

Dear Anon, 1. Please take note that, one of the main considerations in using a "window" to `replace' the main door is that light should be `brighter' coming from the window than say from the main door. This is where, it could be a likely candidate for the replacing the main door. 2. It is equally important that unlike an alternative door, where the house number can be affixed on it e.g. above that door or on the door itself. For a window spanning 6 or more feet, where than can be place the signage for the door? Is it at the centrepoint of the window or we`purposely' find like what you have mentioned the double 7 stars (provided, it exists around the sector). 3. Frankly, t…

Thanks Mr CecilI suppose you mean the kitchen must not be in NW sector right?I'll definitely need to employ your expertise when we get our flat.I managed to get a qeue for the current flat selection drive, but have yet to select a flat, and I'm considering a 4-room flat. The 4-room flat layout is attached here for your reference. Base on this flat layout, seems like there are parts of 2 major sectors missing, since the kitchen is protuding out & the household shelter is just next to the main door. Is there a cure for the such missing s…

Dear Anil, In Feng Shui if hte knobs face skywards, then this is considered a `neutral' position. If we are facing the stove and the knobs face our body, then the direction the knobs face is considered the location it is facing. In Feng Shui it would be auspicious if the knobs, for example face inwards away from the main entrance door. Here, it is symbolic of the `warmth' retained in the home. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Firstly, it is good to understand the meaning of `facing star'. It is the same meaning as the `water star'. Here, one can visualise that when we face a position, it is best to have an unobstructed view. If we understand this, than a `water star' or if we have a water position e.g. a pond or pool infront of us, it is `relatively' flat and is equivalent of the Four Symbolic Animals concept's `Bird or Phoneix' flying infront of us as there is a clear space. In the living room or centre, it is best that there is clear space. Unlike the `mountain star' where it can be represented by a wall, this provides a `solid backing'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

The little I studied about Feng Shui, I understood that there are both universal principals, based on natures influence that affect all individuals in same manner, and relative principals that apply to human beings according to their personal elements, or astrological characteristics. Therefore, an application of Feng Shui may vary according to the person or family who dwells in the house or building. But if we abide by the basic principles of ?good? Feng Shui both to land and house, such as shape of plot, main doors, inclination of land, positive location, absence of negative nearby influences, appropriate Tong Wan, and correct location of rooms, kitchen, bathroom, etc?,…

We have to relocate our business (lost our lease at the present location) to a brick building across the street from a historical cemetery- main door= facing north. From the report I did, here are my concerns: NW: Generally this location is your Very Auspicious area. It is good to spent more time here. Determining if there are any problems? Quarrels, lawsuit, lost of wealth. Center: Generally this location is your Current Prosperity area. This means that you will enjoy lots of prosperity. Determining if there are any problems? Lawsuit, gossips and fabricated troubles. Everything else was average. Can you help on how to remedy these areas for me? Thanks! Debbie

  8. Hi Master. My partner & I are considering buying a resale condo unit and have some questions that we hope you can help us with. Is it auspicious to buy a unit with water leakage from the ceiling (it is a top floor unit)? the agent shared that this happened 1 month ago and they are contacting the management to fix it. How auspicious is it for the main door to face the staircase with door, about 1.5m to 2m apart? Is it a concern if the owner of the unit has passed on a year ago (although the owner has not stayed in the property for many years but has been renting it out)? Is it possible to use feng shui to help to counter the above concerns? …

Dear Cecil, I'd like to ask you the method to find mountain star. How do I determine that there is a mountain star at specific sector of the home? As for the birthdate of the house, which one is used: completion date or construction date (the day that the earth was first disturbed or dug)? Thanks in advance. Regards, Wasis

Dear Steven, As our information on the matter is `piecemeal', we do not have all the facts or conduct a full audit, in general: 1. Some Feng Shui practitioners consider the huge fish tank `wealth' creation or alternatively, 2. To neutralise Sha Qi. Thus, with the little information, we do not exactly know whether it is more for 1 or 2. Some Feng Shui practitioners, have advised on placing Fish Tank even in the toilet area. To either achieve above Para 1 or 2. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear John, It would be good if North Double 7's is at the main entrance. If this is the living room water element would help the double 7's (metal) element flow. The double 7 metals would already be of use to destroy the #3 wood. And a good combination of the harmonious productive cycle of Metal -> Water -> Wood combinations can be considered here. However, it should not be activated if this is not the living room area or other rooms e.g. back area of the house. Since your wife is a Strong Water person, usually balance should be created first, to offset the Strong Water e.g. personal self with say `fire' e.g. wearing red. Since fire is not beneficial for a Strong E…

Dear Anon, 1. Thank you for bring up this interesting question. 2. It depends on the type of house being built. 3. In Singapore, there are public housing. And some public housing:- 3.1 Usually, these flats come empty i.e. only with furnished toilet(s) and white washed ceiling and walls. Otherwise, the house is given to the owners for them to complete the renovation of the floor tiles for both living/dining/kitchen and bedrooms. These flats do come with completed tiles for the kitchen. But no built in cabinet or stove or frige etc... In such a situation, if the owner only take over the flat after Chinese New Year 2004 and does renovation after this period, then, one can co…

Any different whether I'm a weak or strong earth person? In fact, I do have a fish Yes, there is a difference. A) weak earth for example favours Fire and dislike Wood. B) strong earth for example favours Metal and dislike Fire. This also means that the luck period for the year also varies due to the difference. Also, many other analysis will differ as the favourable and unfavourable elements are totally different. For example a weak wood is like a small tree, easily broken so need constant ass…

Dear Feng Shui Master, I would like to seek your advice on how to activate the water star#8 and mountain star #8 as well as the universal SE wealth sector. As you see I have divided my HDB flat floor plan into 9 equal square and I can see that the mountain star#8 is located at my master bedroom toilet with a small portion of the master bedroom. The water star #8 is located atthe common toilet and service balcony with a small portion of the master bedroom. The kitchen and storeroom is located at the SE sector. It seems that I'm unable to activate all these 3 area. The flat I'm staying is a period 7 flat and my kua number is 6 while my wife kua number is 4. Appreciate you…

Dear Peter, Please see below:- Let's take an example: Period 7 is from 1984 to 2003. Assume that a period 6 house that was built in 1982. So what happens to the Flying Star Analysis for this Period 6 house? If there are no major renovations done to this Period 6 house, it will still continue to have the birth chart of a Period 6 house i.e. #6 at the center of the chart. The same goes for any other houses built in Period e.g 4, 5, 6. Thus for a Period 7 house; assume that it was built in 1986. If there are no major renovations done after it was built i.e. 1986 and until 2004; it will still be considered a Period 7 house. Only when you do a major renovation e.g. in th…

Dear Tervino, Please see below:- Usually the report will tell you if there is a mountain star available and it is only found in the 20-year star. The rules to activating the stars is simple, mountain stars often is activated in the sector which is a solid wall (there should not be a window here otherwise you cannot activate this sector.) Also, the next rule is that it has to fall into a room, best to be a bedroom, study room. Living room can also be activated except often, if necessary the living room usually has another star Water star to activate with water feature. As the living room is often considered a large open space. Also the mountain star should not be activ…

In your case, 6 strong metal does already control the 4 weak wood. However, as mentioned the report analysis only two stars at any one time. 6 metal has to accomplish two task here, to destroy the weak wood and to exhaust the earth. So often in such situation more Metal helps it. And since in the current year the 6 metal comes in again, it does fullfil the need to help the other 6 metal to destroy and control the elements. This is because I had factored in the problem here that the Wood is a strong wood and not a weak wood. And usually for such case, we often prefer to use the exhausting element which is Fire in this case. It is a little more effective than Metal. Met…

Dear Eve, Further to my earlier message, I forgot to mention the most important point is that is the Year Chart mentioned earlier is only using the Base ( Luo Shu Sqaure ) for this year only. However, the personalised Luo Shu Chart of a house takes into consideration two stars above the number. For example, as we know that this is currently period 7, and from the example below (not a real one but a sample):- 5 3 7 Here, there is a base number and on top of it, No. 5 and No. 3. In the personalised Flying Star Chart, we need to compare the `mountain' and `water' star with each other. When there is a good match, and depending on the interpretation of the two stars, this i…

For example, for House A built in period 6, it might be an auspicious house during period 6 itself, but became inauspicious in period 7 and 8. When analysing House A for period 6, we use reigning number 6…

Dear Tervino, Please see below:- Red items can be like what you mentioned a red cloth for example covering the table. Since the item is for curing wood, the best type of cure is a red packet with 6 coins. By default it is automatically determined that 6 is strong metal while 7 is weak metal. And it is often not very good combination to have these two elements together as it creates a natural clash of the metal like a big sword vs a small knife. do we use 6 coins or other metal? Usually, the most of the problems can be solved by the use of the 6 coins either tied with a red string or a red packet. This will usually do the trick. This has been proven to be a rat…

Dear Ben, Please see below:- And it is more pratical to look out for poison arrows or sha qi that can `overcome' our home. After doing this, it would be acceptable. As for using quite a lot of "cross" normally, I personally feel that it is not really necessary. More importantly, the altar table is positioned at a strategic or good location and here you can place the necessary items on this table (can do). But nevertheless, if you and your family (don't mind) or feel pretty comforted by doing it; I think it is OK. It is best to understand or differentiate threats or `perceived threats'. The `rule-of-thumb or the question asked is: "Are we going to be `hit' b…
