Dear Master, I am Gua 8 and my husband is the same. as such our recommended facing should be NE, SW, W and NW. We just bought a house in SE, we like the house and it's location. It is a good land size, rectangular shape as well. Overall we thought it is the best we could find, until we realised the direction (facing SE towards the road) is not good for us. Can we do anything to make it better? Thank you!

Dear Cecil, Responding to your reply, I first heard of this 8 aspirations on the first Feng Shui book I ever read. Later on I found that this author belonged to the Black Hat Sect. his name is Celso Yamamoto, and I think the book is from Brazil. I can't give you more info because I just can't find the book. As a matter of fact, I think I lost it... (which was very fortunate to me, because otherwise I would have never knew the truth about that FS school...). As far as I recall, he presented a Pa-Kua (Bagua?), and said to align the front door with the position career. Of course that this is the application of the Black Hat Sect. BUT the other reference to the 8 aspirations,…

Dear Karen, I had previously written a short write-up of how a traditional Feng Shui audit is conducted especially in the Far East. If you like to review the material, go to this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/fsaudit.htm In this short review, I also highlighted that the review in this article is ONLY a guideline. As Feng Shui Home Audits may vary with individual Feng Shui practioners. Before engaging a Feng Shui Auditor, always ask them questions like which Feng Shui `technique' he/she is using. If the Feng Shui audit also provides you with a Pillars of Destiny report e.g. for the whole family, you should also check how `deep' is the analysis. This is because some Geom…

Dear Jody, I can confirm that you are indeed a North-East person. I did notice earlier that there could be a typo error in Lillian Too's Feng Shui book as a few users had highlighted this earlier. Dear Barbara, Further to my earlier reply, it would be best to get books that try to simply Feng Shui theories rather than to `impress' its readers by using powerful terms. The simplier the explanation, the better. Here, there is less likely for the information to be mis-interpreted. Frankly, read books from authors you are comfortable in. If the theory is the same as the other book, for example the Eight House Theory is very simple, try to `stick' to the method used to derive the answer. But if other books are better written in other areas, then utilize the information. This method, would reduce the confusion we now have with so many books being `churned out' daily. Rece…

Dear Cecil, Thank you for answering my questions; however, your answer rose other curiosities. In my previous message I described my main entrance: upon entering there is a narrow staircase at the end of which I enter the living space at my left. Now, according to what you have written, it seems to me that you believe that the main entrance is actually the opening at the top of the staircase and not the door at the bottom of the staircase(it's a 2nd floor apt). Would that be true? Plus, is the position of the main door determined by the actual cardinal point it faces or by the position it is located within the eight house theory square(sorry if confusing)? I also read tha…

Dear Luigi, Let me share my personal experience with "The Eight House Theory" 1. In the past, and even now, it is very tempting for many people in the West to Apply " Feng Shui " methods such as `fixed templates ' such as those of the Black Hat Sect. 2. Such " marketing ploys " are so easy to relate to and Applied. 3. In Traditional Feng Shui, or for Traditional Feng Shui to be "equally successful" it has also to be able to be Applied with ease. 4. To `counter' the explosion of `fixed template' " FS ", the two most successful Traditional FS models can give such `fixed templates' a "hard fight": 4.1 Shapes and Form Feng Shui 4.1.1 This form of FS, if illustrated very well …

Dear Dragana, 1. In the context of Flying Star Feng Shui, both the 9-square grid and the pie chart methods are equally valid. 2. Recently, I responded to a forum post that outlined these two approaches. 3. You might consider conducting a search in this forum for the term 'pie chart' to review the previous message I posted. 4. As noted in the first paragraph, there is no distinction between the two methods. However, many Feng Shui practitioners often utilize pre-made templates, such as those printed on transparency sheets, which can be easily overlaid on a layout plan without concerns about scaling. 5. For those who are not practitioners, it may be…

Hello Forum, We just bought a new home where our front door leads directly to our back door. some of our friends told us that's not good. What does it mean? What can we do to prevent bad "chi" in our home? Some advised us about placing plants but what kind of plants should we get and where can we exactly place the plants? Hoping for your response. 1. Pleaserefer sample attachment: Sample Male Luck periods.pdf 2. In this example,of the Sample Male: 2006 - 2015 (Age 36 - 45) "Luck against you" 3. However, it generally means that forthe 10 years, luck is generally against the period. But, there is such thing as a person's 5 Yearlyand 6 monthly luck:- Although this is considered an inauspicous period, but not all months are inauspicious. Thus 2010 is an auspicious year for the person. 2011 is fairly a good year also. 1st 6 months of 2014 and 2015 are fairly good years. Dear Cheryl, Eight House is one of the Feng Shui Compass School that applies 8 personal directions to based on a person's date of birth and gender. The 8 directions will include 4 good and 4 bad directions. This can be used to find the house facing direction that suits you. It also means that whatever you do, for example if one is working, by sitting in the direction facing the excellent direction, you will excel in your work. You can generate a Free Eight House Chart of yourself using the Report Management at www.geomancy-online.com. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Glyn, Yes, a Crane is a symbol of longevity. And peace itself is a also another symbol of longevity There is actual a very long story about this. And also there are difference in the various combinations. Example, two cranes flying up towards the sun express the wish that the recipient of the picture may rise high and lots more of other combinations. Anyway, you can place such paintings in your home. Both as a form of relaxation of your mind especially when looking at painting as well as a form of good health symbol. Warmest Regards Robert Lee.

Dear Vivian, First of all, sorry for the late reply as I was pondering over your problem. Bases on existing analysis under only the Eight House theory, both of you are S/W persons, and North = Death, South = Irritation and East = Death line. The next thing you need to know is that although your house runs from a North to South line, you should consider the centrepoint of the house also i.e. North line stops at the `centre' of the house. Please see below:- Under the eight house theory, you should also determine whether the midpoint is before your bedroom. Next evaluate your bed position. I understand from the above that you mentioned your bed is at the North-West locat…
