Hi Robert, thank you for the advice. You indicated that the house might have quarrel stars. Is there anyway torectify this ? Is it because the house is not suitable for the previous owner (clashes with their Ba Zi) or the house itself has problems which caused the rift in their marriage ? How can I get a proper and more detailed analysis on the house suitability ? Thank you.

Dear Cecil, Thanks for your reply. I managed to change her bed to N.East corner and that seems to have helped her. She has her head pointing to N.East. According to 8 house theory NE is her disaster side! Do i try and change again or leave it as it is? Kind regards, Anon.

Dear Anon, Frankly, the situation you face is very common for many of us. As Feng Shui is not based on just one concept, alone. Thus, in order to have a more balanced view of how well your home "perform". Under Feng Shui, try as much as you can to use a holistic approach to find out the "health" of the home. For example, how is the "Shapes and Forms" like for your home. How can you benefit from Flying Star of your home etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hello, I just recently purchased a home. I did an eight house analysis on myself. Hi! I just bought a home with a U Shape. I realized that a U shape layout is not the best layout however, the missing corner is in the back of the house. One thing that I really like is that there are three rooms leading out to this empty space which I plan to use as a patio setting to entertain guest. The missing corner is in the North. All the books that I have read advises that the missing corner in the U shape layout is extremely bad luck. And since this is in the North I am afraid that my career might suffer. However the examples that these books give is always showing the missing corner as the front part of the property. My question is does it matter where the miss…

I have lived in my home for 8 years. I have recently become interested in feng shui due to a need to fix a few personal situations (health, finances, etc.) My initial investigation has revealed that I am a "north" person. My home faces west, which seems really bad. I really love the home, but I wonder if some of my issues are related to this incompatibility. Can it be enhanced in any way or do I really have do a major remodel or move?Would a professional consultant even be able to help me? Thanks ever so much for your help! -Brenda

Dear Andrew, Andrew Leon wrote: I am purchasing a conversion condo (an apartment in a building that was built in 1974) but that are doing a full renovation inside (wall painting, new appliances, new kitchen and bathroom furniture, new floor) the apartments to be sold as a condo. Should I take 1974 as house age or should I start from the date of the renovation (2005-2006)? Since there will be quite a lot of renovation work, you should take the start of the renovation (ie period 8 2004-2023) as the new birth chart of the house. Dear Anon, Since a house may have different facing direction (be it main door or living room/balcony). It really depends firstly on what you are assessing. ie. Assesment of interior of the feng shui can be taken from the centerpoint of the house to the main door. This way is good because the facing and sector of the main door will be same. However, this assesment is limited to assesing the feng shui only within the 4 walls of the house. ie. Assessment of the main door facing direction (ie standing at the main door looking out.) This is the for apartment level 2-7th level. This is where the main door may be facing North, but can be located in a different sector of the h…

Dear Ester, Anonymous wrote: I am west person and my my home door is in west. When i enter into house then i am facing east ( death line is in east). Please be advised, that East person does not necessary mean that your best direction is East. Nor does West person mean that your best direction is West. East/West house are two grouping that is used to describe this theory or concept. An East house person means that most of the good sectors fall in the East side (most of the time), while a West house person means that most of the good direction falls on the West side. So more accurately, when you want to see if a house is suitable or not, you simply check if the directi…

Hi Roeland, There are a couple of concepts in feng shui. In terms of determining house element, we use Ba Zi which is based on the direction the house faces. As such North = Water, thus the house is considered Water element. Given that Eight Trigram isn't the most accurate analysis, as it uses only the year of birth in the calculation compared to Ba Zi using Date and Time of birth, the more accurate analysis comes from the Ba Zi element. While we use Eight House as the suitability analysis only. The problem with most of the sitting and facing direction method is that it can be confusing because Luo Pan is orientated in South-North orientation, as such often you will n…

Hello Forum, We just bought a new home where our front door leads directly to our back door. some of our friends told us that's not good. What does it mean? What can we do to prevent bad "chi" in our home? Some advised us about placing plants but what kind of plants should we get and where can we exactly place the plants? Hoping for your response. Thank you in advance..............Edwin

To master R. and C. Lee and Forum members. I am happy and puzzled about my new house. My Gua 8 for an 8 cyclehousefacing NE (first Mountain). The front door faces NE and is also in the NE palace. The T Star for NE is 2 with M2 and W8. The house by sitting and direction is superb, it has W8 at the entrance and M8 in the sitting sector. But how do I deal with the Star group affecting my entrance? How can I weaken the harmful chi from 2 without weakening W8?. Or the presiding 8 Star is strong enough?. Thanks

Dear Brenda, No. In whatever age, one should simply stick to the actual compass direction. Therefore, in my opinion, there is no truth to add 20 degrees just for the age of 8. Furthermore, why add 20 degrees? 1 degree per year. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Leng, In practice or in a practical world, it all boils down to "How can we maximise -- marks in our Feng Shui examinations". Thus, every little area counts. thus, things like how well a house suit us, how many major leaks (if any) can or cannot be fixed etc... Therefore, we cannot only simply eat and sleep on Flying star Feng Shui alone. But it depends on the wider picture - external environment that our home is in.

Since first discovering the Feng Shui subject a few years ago, I have been trying to get my home ready 'space', and the result of my efforts is total clutter, overwhelming disorganization. This of course leads to down in the attitude. House faces South, painted the Southern front door, and Southern Garage entrance door cranberry. Have hung a few good luck type charms. Northside back yard is beautiful with two tortoises, kept up by my wonderful husband. But I can't get the house in similar order. Frustrated, Gi

Dear Scott, Thanks for sharing with all of us, your personal views on this matter. The first thing that strikes my mind is the motto for Discovery Channel's endangered species: "If the buying stops, the killing can". We can draw a parallel, to the current situation with such "FS practises". "If the GREED stops, the buying can". But at last, unfortunately, these people prey on our "GREED" to succeed and also portray a certain mystic of buying such commercial products". As the saying goes: "There will always be fools, to fill many shoes!" Personally, a single web-site is like a `drop' in the ocean. And unfortunately, the sale of products are simply too great a profit to mi…

Eight Aspiration is based on the Bagua static layout of the Eight Trigram. This is thus a static model which does not personalise to a single person. Eight House / Eight Trigram is the very basic concept which expands upon the Bagua, that tries to personalise a person into the calculation. Given that there are Eight Directions and each direction is often related to a compass direction. It was thus derived to be called the Compass School. This theory uses numerology to try to fit a person based on his Year of Birth which will thus arrange the Eight Trigram in such a way that you can see 4 good and 4 bad direction. The Eight Trigam is a basic foundation for the Advanced Com…
