Hi Roeland, There are a couple of concepts in feng shui. In terms of determining house element, we use Ba Zi which is based on the direction the house faces. As such North = Water, thus the house is considered Water element. Given that Eight Trigram isn't the most accurate analysis, as it uses only the year of birth in the calculation compared to Ba Zi using Date and Time of birth, the more accurate analysis comes from the Ba Zi element.
