Hi Roeland, There are a couple of concepts in feng shui. In terms of determining house element, we use Ba Zi which is based on the direction the house faces. As such North = Water, thus the house is considered Water element. Given that Eight Trigram isn't the most accurate analysis, as it uses only the year of birth in the calculation compared to Ba Zi using Date and Time of birth, the more accurate analysis comes from the Ba Zi element. While we use Eight House as the suitability analysis only. The problem with most of the sitting and facing direction method is that it can be confusing because Luo Pan is orientated in South-North orientation, as such often you will n…

Dear Ester, Anonymous wrote: I am west person and my my home door is in west. When i enter into house then i am facing east ( death line is in east). Please be advised, that East person does not necessary mean that your best direction is East. Nor does West person mean that your best direction is West. East/West house are two grouping that is used to describe this theory or concept. An East house person means that most of the good sectors fall in the East side (most of the time), while a West house person means that most of the good direction falls on the West side. So more accurately, when you want to see if a house is suitable or not, you simply check if the directi…

Dear Linda, Linda Angelo wrote: ive been reading every feng shui book i can get my hands on. the more i read the more confused i get. Unfortunately, there are many many feng shui books out there these days. So it is more important to look for books written by true traditional feng shui masters. Even that can be difficult because there are so many different feng shui concepts that there are also many different ways different master practice feng shui. So best you get one that is reliable or has a good reputation rather than pick any books of the shelf. Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: We found an apartment with main door facing -South West which is our "Prosperity" facing. However ALL the bedrooms are inSouth East direction, which is our "Dealth" facing according to Eight House Theory. Anonymous wrote: Should we only focus on main door or the rooms direction is equally important when selecting the house? Ideally, the breadwinner should have a house that suits him and avoid the bedroom location to be death or disaster if that is possible. Having the bedroom facing death facing means the house does not entirely suit the breadwinner. If it is at least spook or irritation, at least not so bad. A good house should suit …

Dear Andrew, Andrew Leon wrote: I am purchasing a conversion condo (an apartment in a building that was built in 1974) but that are doing a full renovation inside (wall painting, new appliances, new kitchen and bathroom furniture, new floor) the apartments to be sold as a condo. Should I take 1974 as house age or should I start from the date of the renovation (2005-2006)? Since there will be quite a lot of renovation work, you should take the start of the renovation (ie period 8 2004-2023) as the new birth chart of the house. Dear Anon, Frankly, the situation you face is very common for many of us. As Feng Shui is not based on just one concept, alone. Thus, in order to have a more balanced view of how well your home "perform". Under Feng Shui, try as much as you can to use a holistic approach to find out the "health" of the home. For example, how is the "Shapes and Forms" like for your home. How can you benefit from Flying Star of your home etc... Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hello, I just recently purchased a home. I did an eight house analysis on myself. It turns out that, even though the entrance more or less faces an ideal cardinal point, my bedroom is right in bet…

Hi Robert, thank you for the advice. You indicated that the house might have quarrel stars. Is there anyway torectify this ? Is it because the house is not suitable for the previous owner (clashes with their Ba Zi) or the house itself has problems which caused the rift in their marriage ? How can I get a proper and more detailed analysis on the house suitability ? Thank you.

1. Based on the layout and exterior such as pool, family room at the South sector of the home; one should take advantage of this "facing" direction. 2. Here, based on your compass marking on the layout plan, if this home is a Period 8 (2004 onwards) home, it should be a S2/3 Flying Star home. Where the homecan really benefit from the double auspicous #8 at the South compass direction. 3. In additionthe pool is located at South / South-West sector of the home. Again, if the home is a S2/3 it can benefit with real waterthat straddles these two sectors. By the way, water at SW = indirect water wealth sector. 4.Thus, it does not matter that your home's main door is "East…

1. In my opinion, many Professional Feng Shui practitioners would consider the "Ba Zi method" i.e. as you had mentioned, as the first choice. And the Eight House as second. 2. The major considerations are:- 2.1. "A miss is as good as a mile" 2.1.1 With Ba zi e.g. determining whether one is a weak or strong earth makes alot of difference. And like the saying goes "a miss is as good as a mile". 2.1.2 For example, in a lottery "luck" senario. If this is a 4 digit draw, if you had purchased number 1991. But the prize number turns out to be 1919. You are no where close to winning the four digit prize! 2.1.3 Thus, if the ba zi is wrongly calculated, it is "worse-off". 2.1…

Whatever, concept one uses, the Key Success factors will still be the following:- * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept * Fix-the-Leak, First! * The Three-Step-Approach Good Feng Shui is about maximizing the "Good Feng Shui " score. Much like Doctors who say that about good and bad "fats". Make sure that you have more good fats (cholestrol) than bad ones...

1. The dining room or table facing the main door:- 1.1. As the dining table can be seen immediately from the main door; it is best that the dining table is always neat and tidy - not messy. 1.2. Make sure that seemingly innocent items like a scissor or sharp object on the dining table that can be seen from the main door. 2. Toilet at the frontage, yes, not the best plus the main door seeing the staircase are two other considerations that you had mentioned. 3. Attached please find the centrepoint of the home. This centre-point or center should also be superimposed onto the 2nd storey floor plan.

Hi Master Lee, Would like your advice on a HDB facing T-Junction area. I understand that from a scientific point of view, a vehicle that run amok will be unlikely to crash into the HDB. Would like your thoughts if the below unit will be affected by poison arrow or sha-qi from the junction. 1) The unit is on the 5th floor 2) The building is facing the cross junction, around 10-20 meters away and traffic can be a little heavy, however the noise level is acceptable for me. At the front of the building there is a round circular park, a signboard and trees. Is this considered a good buffer to block sha-qi? 3) The facing of the front door of the unit is…
