Dear Anon, If you have the time, do login to the website and go to the conference: " Photo Tours of Interest (with pictures) " and look for Part I, Part II and Part III of the various `models Ba Gua mirror. Alternatively, use the SEARCH feature in this forum to do a quick search instead. In the above resources, I have taken pictures and also mentioned majority types of Ba Gua mirror especially on their use. Most of the Ba Gua's available in the above resources would represent the mainstream of the most recent types of Ba Gua mirrors and their variants. If you have a picture, feel free to post it as an attachment to this forum. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  8. Dear Anon, Since a house may have different facing direction (be it main door or living room/balcony). It really depends firstly on what you are assessing. ie. Assesment of interior of the feng shui can be taken from the centerpoint of the house to the main door. This way is good because the facing and sector of the main door will be same. However, this assesment is limited to assesing the feng shui only within the 4 walls of the house. ie. Assessment of the main door facing direction (ie standing at the main door looking out.) This is the for apartment level 2-7th level. This is where the main door may be facing North, but can be located in a different sector of the h…

Hi Everyone, I was a skeptic at first, until I had a nasty brush with my worst direction. I slept in my worst direction and had a nightmare in which I tried to wake up from with great difficulty. In that nightmare, I saw a being who wanted to hurt me. After waking up from that, I paid close attention to my sleeping directions and have since enjoyed a great improvement in my well being and finances. I hope I didn't scare anybody, so if I did, I'm sorry.

Hi Master Lee, Would like your advice on a HDB facing T-Junction area. I understand that from a scientific point of view, a vehicle that run amok will be unlikely to crash into the HDB. Would like your thoughts if the below unit will be affected by poison arrow or sha-qi from the junction. 1) The unit is on the 5th floor 2) The building is facing the cross junction, around 10-20 meters away and traffic can be a little heavy, however the noise level is acceptable for me. At the front of the building there is a round circular park, a signboard and trees. Is this considered a good buffer to block sha-qi? 3) The facing of the front door of the unit is…

Dear Ngo Tam, I am not sure if you have followed the steps shown under this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm if not, do use this link. For the garage, (protusion) you should `ignore' this from your layout plan. Next mark the centre of the house layout plan to find the centre of the house. After this, stand at the centre of the house and from here use your ordinary compass to find the direction of your main entrance door. For an `L' shaped house, one can even `split' the two L shaped into two rectangles. If you are still unclear about this, you can go to the above link under " Step 5 - Determine the Centre of your house to see graphic illustrations. The graphic i…

Dear Anon, 1. The Eight House theory is really meant to find out how `suitable' the house is to a person. 2. It also, is considered good to spent more time at an auspicious sector. And as a bonus, it would be nice to sleep or work facing a good direction. 3. Thus, in my opinion, it is not correct to link the above with the placement of a fountain or water feature. 4. One has also to question the motive of placing a water feature. Is it because you read that it is aupicious to have a water feature that you `suddenly' decide not only to have one but to have two: One inside the house and the other outside your house? 5. Based on `Trial and Error' Feng Shui if you feel that …

Dear Scott, Thanks for sharing with all of us, your personal views on this matter. The first thing that strikes my mind is the motto for Discovery Channel's endangered species: "If the buying stops, the killing can". We can draw a parallel, to the current situation with such "FS practises". "If the GREED stops, the buying can". But at last, unfortunately, these people prey on our "GREED" to succeed and also portray a certain mystic of buying such commercial products". As the saying goes: "There will always be fools, to fill many shoes!" Personally, a single web-site is like a `drop' in the ocean. And unfortunately, the sale of products are simply too great a profit to mi…

Hi Roeland, There are a couple of concepts in feng shui. In terms of determining house element, we use Ba Zi which is based on the direction the house faces. As such North = Water, thus the house is considered Water element. Given that Eight Trigram isn't the most accurate analysis, as it uses only the year of birth in the calculation compared to Ba Zi using Date and Time of birth, the more accurate analysis comes from the Ba Zi element. While we use Eight House as the suitability analysis only. The problem with most of the sitting and facing direction method is that it can be confusing because Luo Pan is orientated in South-North orientation, as such often you will n…

Annette, 1. Thanks for sharing with all of us your personal experience with `shattered glass'. 2. Apologise if this information, I about to mention may not appeal to everyone.. Since, it relates to an experience with `shattered glass'... Here goes... 3. In Yin Feng Shui (or FS for the dead); it is very unlucky to have glass smashed towards the face of the dead. This may cause unfortunate accidents or bad luck for the relatives (immediate family). 4. Many coffins today have a glass panel so that loved ones/relatives or friends can view the dead prior to the burial. Sometimes, the glass panel was not removed or part of the casket and during transport to burial site or bur…

    1. In my opinion, many Professional Feng Shui practitioners would consider the "Ba Zi method" i.e. as you had mentioned, as the first choice. And the Eight House as second. 2. The major considerations are:- 2.1. "A miss is as good as a mile" 2.1.1 With Ba zi e.g. determining whether one is a weak or strong earth makes alot of difference. And like the saying goes "a miss is as good as a mile". 2.1.2 For example, in a lottery "luck" senario. If this is a 4 digit draw, if you had purchased number 1991. But the prize number turns out to be 1919. You are no where close to winning the four digit prize! 2.1.3 Thus, if the ba zi is wrongly calculated, it is "worse-off". 2.1…

Much like Doctors who say that about good and bad "fats". Make sure that you have more good fats (cholestrol) than bad ones...

Hi! I just bought a home with a U Shape. I realized that a U shape layout is not the best layout however, the missing corner is in the back of the house. One thing that I really like is that there are three rooms leading out to this empty space which I plan to use as a patio setting to entertain guest. The missing corner is in the North. All the books that I have read advises that the missing corner in the U shape layout is extremely bad luck. And since this is in the North I am afraid that my career might suffer. However the examples that these books give is always showing the missing corner as the front part of the property. My question is does it matter where the miss…

Dear Cheryl, Eight House is one of the Feng Shui Compass School that applies 8 personal directions to based on a person's date of birth and gender. The 8 directions will include 4 good and 4 bad directions. This can be used to find the house facing direction that suits you. It also means that whatever you do, for example if one is working, by sitting in the direction facing the excellent direction, you will excel in your work. You can generate a Free Eight House Chart of yourself using the Report Management at www.geomancy-online.com. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
