Feng Shui Tips

  1. Started by annawolf,

Dear Anna, Sorry for the delay in reply. In general, if you have a small studio apartment, you can do the following:- 1. You can still use the Eight House Theory and divide your house into eight sectors. 2. Try to proritise or place your bed to confirm under the Shapes and Form School i.e. avoid having it facing the door a toilet etc... 3. See whether your bed can fall within one of the 4 auspicious sectors of your house. Once you have arranged your bed, then the rest of the `furniture' will fit in naturally. Where possible, use your instincts and place them where you like. For the worktable, place it against a wall. If you do a SEARCH in this forum for "studio " you most…

Dear Fraser, Please read below:- Yes, in the natural destruction cycle, water destroys fire. Well, you are relating this directly with the Kua element direction of the bagua. Such as South being Fire. The proper thing you should look out is an overly strong influence of a certain element. A little of each element in every portion is ok. You see, you need to have a little of each elements even destructive elements in your life. Only when you have a balance of everything can you draw the strengths from them for whatever you do. All these are based on the Five Elements cycles. Production Cycle = Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, Earth. Destruction Cycle = Metal, Wood, Eart…

  3. Started by Frase,

Dear Fraser, (This is not directed towards your message). I like to highlight that colours and its symbolish are secondary to Feng Shui. What is more important is to get the basics correct especially the following areas:- 1. Under the Shapes and Form School, it is best that the site enjoys good Feng Shui e.g. under the Four symbolic Animals Concept etc... 2. Under the Flying Star, there are no bad influences and if so, do correct them. 3. Any adverse sha or pointed arrows pointing towards your main entrance door or windows. The above are the main influences of Feng Shui. The rest like clothing etc... are secondary. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: L…

  4. Started by sunshine,

Dear Betty, In general:- 1. Ideally, the death or disaster intangible force should not be located at the main entrance door for the breadwinner. 2. It is not as bad for the spouse assuming that she is not the breadwinner. 3. When we use the Eight House Theory, try to look at the `global picture' i.e. not only the main entrance door but the bedrooms for each of the member of the family. Ideally, your bedroom should not have the death/disaster also. This is equally important as you are most likely to spent at least 8 hours at this location per day. Ideally, the main entrance and bedrooms should be one of the 4 auspicious intangible forces. Here, if you have children, you sh…

  5. Dear Eve, Please read below:- This is Yes, in the past, many Feng Shui Masters use elements found in the name to help suppliment the lack of an element in the birth chart. This is considered the immediate cure for a new born baby to change his or her luck. As you know a person's name is most often used so it does have some impact on the person. Generally, from a name, it does provides certain characteristics and is pretty related to Feng Shui's Pillars of Destiny. Just like when my nephew was born end last year, I choose a name using this art to compliment his existing birth elements (from the Pillars of Destiny), especially areas which he lacks. And true enough,…

  7. This is the standard way we understand of the effect of a building at a `T-junction'. This layout either for a One-way or Two-way road where traffic flows towards the house is inauspicious due to Sha Qi.

  8. Started by Cecil Lee,

The Eight House concept is "as what it is". It is nice-to face one's good direction. BUT if can't; than too bad... Either you face your good directions or you cannot. It is like ebony and ivory: BLACK or WHITE no in-betweens, here.

  9. Started by Cecil Lee,

Dear All, According to the principles of Shapes and Form Feng Shui, it is deemed inauspicious to have a swimming pool or pond located on the western side of a house. This is due to the fact that the west side is linked to the white tiger, and having a pool in that area is akin to exposing the 'mouth' of the white tiger. It is advised against doing so, as a hungry tiger symbolizes financial loss or potential disasters. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Further to what I had mentioned earlier, 1. I forgot to mentioned about 9-Star Ki. This model was first exported to Japan. The Japanese make it into a package which looks at individuals (some form of Heaven Luck) with Feng Shui (earth luck). A few practitioners include the other missing element i.e. Man-luck. 2. 9-Star ki can be considered as one and the same with Flying Star Feng Shui. 3. I believe, some good 9-Star Ki practitioners have properly included MAN-LUCK into the 9-Star Ki EARTH-LUCK analysis. And this is one of the most popular forms of Feng Shui practised by the British Gentlemen. 4. But always, there are many who will `miss' the point and concentrate only on…

  11. 1. These are the photos of the 10 Qing (Ching) Dynasty coins. 2.Other than coins with auspicious sounding wordings; the Qing Dynasty coinsare often used, today as symbolisms in Feng Shui. 3. This is because the Qing Dynasty is one of the longest dynasties in China, stretchingfrom the reign of Shun-chifrom 1644 AD to 1911 AD.This dynasty : outwit, outlastany other dynasties by a mile. 4. Often, under symbolism in Feng Shui; if you want to use such coins; try to choose coins from two of the longest lasting reigns that represents periods of prosperity such as Kang-shi or Chien-lung. For example in the 11th month of the 16th year of Chien-lung's reign 1752 AD he was just 41 y…

  17. How do I improve on my romance? Certainly not paying US$1000/- for a piece of rock! Use the money more wisely, and don't chock up credit card debts when doing so......

  18. We humans if given room on the bed would often toss and turn and even sleep with head facing different directions. In theory, this baby's best bed-head direction should/could/may face North. But do you really want to implement it to make sure that the baby "faces" north for sure?

    1. Frankly, what you mentioned: facing NE or SW vs Eight House is just the top of the ice-berg. There are so many other considerations, first. Reyla F. wrote: Hi , master Cecil! We have the opportunity to build a new home that is either face NE or SW. Problem is, my husband and i are both East (4 & 9) group. What can we do? Which would be better for us? Also, as I am trying to practice and apply remedies to our current home, I get confused as to which one should take precedence or which one should I give more weight, the annual stars or the natal chart of the house? Thank you and I look forward to reading your sage advice. 2. You might like to look at this art…

Date: Monday, 26 April, 2010 12:32 PM Dear Master Cecil, My most sincere apology on my ignorance to Feng Shui. Hope this does not offend you in any ways and thank you very much for the clarification and teachings. Thank you. My Reply:- Dear (name removed), No problem ) Thank you for your kind understanding! I am very glad you understand that truely Feng Shui is not a "cure all" nor should be "misused" e.g. in-the-name of Feng Shui -

  22. @ Evergreen Park at Hougang Avenue 7 Any negative energy or harmful structures that may affect the living space? In the search for a new apartment, it is important to be mindful of any negative energy or harmful structures that may affect the living space. In the case of Evergreen Park at Hougang Avenue 7, the spikes on the open air carpark do not pose a threat to the 2nd storey apartments. This is fortunate as if there were apartments on the ground level, the trellis spikes could have created a poison arrow effect towards many of the units. Thankfully, this is not the case here.

    1. Again; this is another costly "no-brainer". 2. Furthermore, if initally commonsense had prevail; this would not have happened! 3. Let's say, even if one has the highest IQ and education; but could not look into the practical side of things... this ain't no good. 4. This reminds me of the Commonsense reasoning of "non-conductivity" of heat from parquet flooring. This is why many quality homes use parquet flooring for their bedrooms. For example, when we wake up; our feet touches the ground. And if the floor is made of tiles or granite or marble; our feet feels the cold. While steeping on wood (parquet) is another thing all together. Commonsense, commonsense and commons…
