  3. We humans if given room on the bed would often toss and turn and even sleep with head facing different directions. In theory, this baby's best bed-head direction should/could/may face North. But do you really want to implement it to make sure that the baby "faces" north for sure?

  8. Hi Cecil; For the main wooden door, is there any particular dimension like height or width that we need to watch out for?For the sliding or folding door at the patio to the living room, is the number of of door panels important? Reply: For the main door; in the past 1 room / 3 bedrooms and 4 & 5 bedrooms HDB's around the 1970's to early 1980's have door openings at 32". And plus the side frames it is a total of 35" If you want to tailor made a single door (or single with extra panel) then since the extra panel is rarely opened; the big door should range between 32" up to max of 35". Very hard to include the door frame if wood frame is used. (HDB usually use the thinne…

But, can help to further improve chances especially if there are any imbalances in one's home. Had another case, a client who stayed in Rosewood condo. (She happens to work for a company that uses my Feng Shui service). And after the consultation, managed to have a baby boy.

  19. 1. This has more to do with pure common sense 2. Here, how many of us during our childhood have open bookshelves just in-front of our study table? 3. This is to allow us to place our current semester books and reference materials like a dictionary and even some decorative items to brighten the work-area. 4. Contrast this with closed bookshelves. If so, whenever we need to access some of our "tools", we have to either open the doors or slide them which may be inconvenient as we may have to move something else to access them. 5. Thus, it is perfectly fine or OK to have open bookshelves at our work-interface = good ergonomics. 6. Therefore don't be too fearful of someone el…

  20. From a Feng Shui point of view: always try to avoid buying a unit in a block where the overhead tracks or roads directly curve towards you. (the unit). For example, if the attached tracks are on the same level as the 4th storey flat; and it curves towards it; let's hope there are other objects such as large trees to buffer this curve.

  21. Some geomancers have the mistaken notion that all books must be "locked-up" or kept in closed cabinets. As they had read that books are like "knifes". In my opinion, this is far from the truth! Many of us throughout ages have a desk and all our frequently used books are at hand and easily retrieved and placed back on shelves. This is especially true for open book-shelves close to where our hand can easily retrieve and place back. We can then place all our current semester's books within easy reach. This is opposed to having to open book-self doors to retrieve them.

  22. Common sense & conceal gas pipes in Kitchen Several Executive condos and condos are close to the supply of piped gas. For cosmetic reasons, some of these developments conceal the gas pipes into the plastered walls. In the past, there was one occasion where a contractor drilled into the wall to mount the kitchen cabinet(s). And gas leaked into the kitchen and into the entire apartment. Found: this useful warning tip (see attachment). Location: Notice board at the EC: Park Green @Rivervale Link. Beware of concealed gas pipes when renovation: 1. Ensure that concealed gas pipes are not damaged. 2. Locate concealed gas pipes using your houe's gas pipes layout plan or w…

  23. 1. Nowadays, there is a concern of bird flu or those N1H1 type of disease. 2. Again, the architect or pool designer got it all wrong! 3. Such wall features encourage birds = bird baths. 4. For just a few minutes, I have seen at least 8 to 12 birds attracted to the wall water spouts. And a few even flap their wings and wash themselves on these "bird baths". 5. Don't get me wrong. It looks "nice". But, nowadays with the dreaded bird flu; we don't want their flu to be actively passed to us humans. What more from a shared facility. 6. Here, it is odd that we were advised to wash ourselves first before jumping into the pool; to reduce the incidence of disease; here, these bir…

  24. Started by myfs_155741,

Majority of the time, it is acceptable to have a water position at the FRONTAGE. The main reason is based on pure common sense. Whenever we have a pool of water or a water position: it simply implies that nothing else can be built on-top of or above this water position. If so, it allows for unobstructed view or clear space = bright hall effect. Which is advantages for the "collection" or accumulation of qi or allowing simply for better flow of AIR.

  25. 1. Case Study: Client wanted to install a lift for their 3 storey home. Based on a first draft from the architect proposed plans. 2. The original location suggested for the lift was marked in red "B" as shown in the attachment. 3. Although location "B" does not have good Flying Stars, but because as this is a semi-detached, home; the proposed location is at the frontage area. And it would be a waste if the frontage area is blocked by a lift. 4. As Shapes and Forms prevail over the stars (Flying Stars); the client was advised to place the lift, instead at marking in red "A". Which is conveniently next to the stairs. 5. In addition, the client was advised to avoid having h…
