Feng Shui Tips

  1. What to expect in a full Feng Shui audit service package

  2. Started by Cecil Lee,

Has it got to do with common sense? Yes, if it regards to how many legs can or should a dining table have? Generalised Feng shui originated from this common sense. This is why most geomancers felt that dining tables should have four legs. This illustration seems to suggest that if one leans at the edge of the table, will the table topple down? In normal circumstances, if a table has four legs at each corner of the edge, common sense says that no way such a table can tip or topple down. Please look at the illustration, below. If quality materials and good structural integrity is there, this tabl…

  3. Without Prejudice: The Lanai at Hillview Avenue and termite infestation. It just T.O.P. Not too long ago in 2015. (A mere three year old development). In my opinion, as this development is at the foot of Hillview Avenue; Most likely with poor drainage has led to termite infestations especially at the lower block(s). Thus unfortunately, such a situation would affect the resale vale. Unless the new potential buyers are unsuspecting of it. The suspect has to do with the drainage or water retention of this development that is on the foot of the Hillview avenue hill:- Once termites appear, it is much harder to repel especially if the design …

  5. For Sol Acres Group Buy: Your key collection may clash with the Qing Ming period. When going upstairs to your unit: 1. Tell the handover staff that you will be the one to first opening the door. 2. Prepare the pineapple. And hubby opens the du oor and yells "Ping an fa cai and Huat" 3. Leave the pineapple as it is. And wait for the inspect to complete and the staff leave. This is on a first-come-first serve basis:- 4. I will usually sit outside. 6. Hi master Lee is it good fengshui if the beds are placed below the mezzanine. More to do with stigma attached to it. And a dash of common sense. Here, make sure that nothing is above the bed. Else if things fall from it; is dangerous For privacy, all personal reference are left out:-

  10. Case Study: The table leg is a X shape, is that ok? 1. Feng Shui does not micro manage this. 2. It has more to do with common sense = centre-of-gravity and safety. Such that if a toddler were to stand on the corner of the table, will it topple or not. 3. However, another area is about SYMBOLISM (technically this is a standalone concern but some link this with Feng Shui). As we all know an "X" is not exactly a popular symbol to many people. What more to some, a dining table is considered an important piece of furniture in the home!. 3.1 If you have busy bodies who tell you that it is bad luck to have this type of table. 3.2 The owner may start to…

  11. Such paintings are ambiguous.

  12. 1. Under symbolism in Feng Shui, it is less than ideal to have a vertical joint-or-split-line exactly where the TV is mounted (which splits the TV exactly into half):- The red line shows clearly the split:- 2. This is because a piece of Formica laminate has a maximum length and width. And most important is that there is no one large piece. 2.1. Therefore nowadays with the feature wall covering more than 4 feet by 8 feet, someone there will always a joint between two pieces of Formica laminate. 3. If so, insists on having vertical joint-lines as shown, below:-

  13. In the past all condos with balconies have a huge drain to allow drain-off water to flow into it. Nowdays, there is usually only one single drainage point.. similar to this...

  14. Is it ok to place artificial flower on the dining table? Under the Holy Trinity of Chinese Luck system: 1. Earth Luck = Feng Shui = 33.33% 2. Heaven Luck = Born with = 33.33% 3. Human or Man Luck = Feel good factor = 33.33% Feng Shui does not micro-manage to the finest details. Feng Shui is more about location, location and location factors. What you are looking at has more to do with Human or Man luck or feel good factor.. Like, your personal likes for colourful and beautiful flowers. Common sense. This has nothing to do with Feng Shui. For example, unlike an office with an enclosed eco-system filtered by air-con system. A home …

  15. Avoid first time open door, start of renovations and move in after 5pm

  18. Q: And on top how many light can we put ? Just one or can hv many light to shine on painting and right corner Reply: But if spot lights.. do buy lots of spares. As often the aircon servicing person is going to have their ladders kissing these lights and damaging them if they are not FLUSHED into the ceiling. So chose those flushed into the ceiling tillable lights are best.

  19. Question: Hi Cecil, if we put dining table at our balcony. Any fengshui indication for our family ? Comments: This is not Feng Shui. More to do with common sense and taboos (if any).. Like external even with external blinds.. can be windy or if blinds are open.. even at 10 storeys can find insects... There is a condern if no invisible grilles... children can climb on the chair and tables and dangerous.. Thus is more of a lifestyle thing...

  20. We could have made millions. But we chose to have a clean conscience! Commercial products sold in the name of Feng Shui has very high mark-ups! This is why there will always be greedy Feng Shui Masters who want you to buy these products. Charity begins at home. So why give them your hard earned money...

  21. Sure. But we cannot incorporate the side gate into the main gate right, such that there is a frame and people have to bend over to get into the house. Correct? Grandmother’s tale. For small terraces, perhaps this is the only way to have it. As common as grains of the sand in a beach. Even many semi-d has this. Not like one is so old that cannot bend down. No harm also to exercise the neck Furthermore this side gate incorporated into the main gate saves space and the most cost effective method.. practised long long time ago. Even my grandfather’s bungalow built on the 1950’s once had such a side gate, then.

  22. Can I check. If my fridge can be seen from the main door as it's an open concept kitchen. Does it pose an issue? 1. This is part of open concept. It is not threatening. You should expect it. 2. Contrary to some others, a regular fridge when closed is surrounded by mostly metal = a metal box. And such a fridge is not issue even if seen from the main door. 3. However, it may make a difference if perhaps, the fridge has a water and/or ice dispenser on one of it's doors. 4. Or instead a wine fridge where the front door is virtually a see thru glass piece. 5. If one "insists" of having an open concept kitchen, something has to give. 6. Fortunately…

  23. Source and credit: Stanhope Chesterfields Frankly, Feng Shui does not micro-manage this. Unless somehow some exceptions where say bright red or bright yellow may not be compatible to some areas. This Chesterfield sofa is acceptable. On the downside... many new (recent) Singapore condos are so “tiny” that it has become an utopian dream for these owners. Better dream on... no space for such a beautiful and comfortable piece!

  24. Cecil, we saw a wooden 葫芦at a fengshui shop and is selling at $59.90 including service by fengshui master to 开光. Why need to 开光?then the person say if put at toilet, should buy the bronze instead of wood type. Is that true or just sales talk?

  25. Happy New Year master. Ask a general question: old flats nowadays their exterior building looks old, never paint, etc... is this bad fengshui compared to brand new flats? I recall that in 1990s, every 5years Town Council paint the outside building. Since 2005 and after 15years i dun see painters come anymore.. Feng Shui is just 33.33%of the total luck. The others are Heaven Luck (individual ba zi) and Man or Human luck. Each also accounts for 33.33% each. Even if Feng Shui may not be affected… but Human or man luck is equally important. As isn’t it great to feel good and equally proud to live in a clean, bright (exterior) home vs a sloppy Aged looking bui…
