Question: Hi Cecil 1. I saw in the forum that kitchen in the NW sector is bad for the male head of the house. It is "fire at heaven's gate". 2. We have checked with a local Fengshui master but he says that kitchen is for female rather than male. 3. The house belongs to my sister and myself & mum is staying with her. Do you know that a Chinese Loupan (Chinese Compass) can be used as a ghost detector? I have on a few occassions did Feng Shui audits and have to throw away the Chinese Loupan! What happened was that during my Feng Shui audits, if the Chinese Luopan's center needle moves round and round it means that it has detected a ghost! Usually, I notice that it occurs in the North-East part of the house or building! On occassions after this, I would fall sick and had to quickly throw away the Luopan. Hi Everyone, If you are not sure where to place a wind chime, it is best not to place a metallic wind chime indiscrimately at the following locations: 1. West 2. North-West 3. North-East The reason is because West and North-West belongs to the metal element and are considered Yin locations. For the North-East, this is the devil's gate. This is because the buddhist and Toaist call the spirit of the dead with the sound of bells. Clocks are considered `objects' of activity. It is best placed at locations of activity such as near to TV sets or hi-fi. More about clocks: 1. Do not place it above any door. 2. Unless it is used to neutralise poision arrows, you should not place it facing a window or a door. 3. Do not give a clock to a friend. Chinese consider this bad luck. 4. Do not let a clock face a stove. 5. Do not let a clock face a bed. 6. Do not let a clock face an altar. In my opinion, for English readers, if you have read Derek Walter's books, he teaches techniques or provide an understanding of a concept. Such books do not advise anyone to use something in the hope that you become `prosperous'. My stand is also the same. So, have you read books that rather ask you to do this or that?

Sometime back, Robert shared with me this observation: It is not advisable to read a book page by page and act on the words as you read each chapter of the book. What happens if the author writes a book with Chapters 1, 2 and 3 saying about a certain theory. If one hastily applies each of the concepts in chapter 1, 2 and 3 (assumming he is the type who reads from chapter 1, 2, 3 in an orderly fashion). What he did not realise is that the author in his final chapter says " Chapter 1, 2 and 3 are available concepts but inauspicious to apply. Oops!!
