Can we use vertical bar window grilles? This has more to do with common sense then Feng Shui. For example, if one's grilles are casement windows; it does not matter that much if the window grille bars are horizontal or vertical. However, if the one has sliding windows; then it makes more sense if the window grille bars are horizontal. Why? Pure common sense. Dear All, According to the principles of Shapes and Form Feng Shui, it is deemed inauspicious to have a swimming pool or pond located on the western side of a house. This is due to the fact that the west side is linked to the white tiger, and having a pool in that area is akin to exposing the 'mouth' of the white tiger.
