From a Feng Shui point of view: always try to avoid buying a unit in a block where the overhead tracks or roads directly curve towards you. (the unit). For example, if the attached tracks are on the same level as the 4th storey flat; and it curves towards it; let's hope there are other objects such as large trees to buffer this curve.

1. This has more to do with pure common sense 2. Here, how many of us during our childhood have open bookshelves just in-front of our study table? 3. This is to allow us to place our current semester books and reference materials like a dictionary and even some decorative items to brighten the work-area. 4. Contrast this with closed bookshelves. If so, whenever we need to access some of our "tools", we have to either open the doors or slide them which may be inconvenient as we may have to move something else to access them. 5. Thus, it is perfectly fine or OK to have open bookshelves at our work-interface = good ergonomics. 6. Therefore don't be too fearful of someone el…

Previously, she has problems having children. After Feng Shui consulation, she had two lovely twins: a boy and a girl. Feng Shui cannot guarantee success. But, can help to further improve chances especially if there are any imbalances in one's home. Had another case, a client who stayed in Rosewood condo. (She happens to work for a company that uses my Feng Shui service). And after the consultation, managed to have a baby boy.

Hi Cecil; For the main wooden door, is there any particular dimension like height or width that we need to watch out for?For the sliding or folding door at the patio to the living room, is the number of of door panels important? Reply: For the main door; in the past 1 room / 3 bedrooms and 4 & 5 bedrooms HDB's around the 1970's to early 1980's have door openings at 32". And plus the side frames it is a total of 35" If you want to tailor made a single door (or single with extra panel) then since the extra panel is rarely opened; the big door should range between 32" up to max of 35". Very hard to include the door frame if wood frame is used. (HDB usually use the thinne…

For some, it can be quite a nightmare taking compass readings as most built up areas have lots of embedded re-inforced steel bars - that will often cause the readings to differ greatly from various locations within a premises. Nowadays, especially in Singapore, which is close to the equator, the True north and magnetic north is the closest; one may consider using a tool like electronic maps from sites like: onemap.sg which uses the official govt. survey maps. Another useful tool is to purchase a good quality protractor. As all street maps both paper version and electronic automatically shows a layout in relation to North-South, try to look for the sitemap of the building.…

Under symbolism in Feng Shui; it is best not to have a "split" directly in the middle of just any "decorative" piece. If one looks carefully in this painting, one can see that it was made up of two paintings. And the line in the middle can directly be seen. (This is considered less than ideal)... Fortunately, this is very rare...

Under Symbolism in Feng Shui; it is not ideal for kitchen appliances like e.g. a toaster oven or an oven or kitchen knifes directly face an open bedroom door. Here, based on symbolism; there is a "health" related concern. For example, if a toaster oven faces the bedroom door; then the concern of "having a fever etc"...

Can we use vertical bar window grilles? This has more to do with common sense then Feng Shui. For example, if one's grilles are casement windows; it does not matter that much if the window grille bars are horizontal or vertical. However, if the one has sliding windows; then it makes more sense if the window grille bars are horizontal. Why? Pure common sense. In order to open or close sliding windows, the most efficent grilles are those that are horizontal bars. This allows for swift motion to slide the windows unobstructed with horizontal grilles. But if vertical grilles were to be installed, one may have to frequently remove the hands and place it into one or more vertic…

1. Please see attachments. 2. In one of the attachments "in red": A, B, X and Y. 2.1. Originally, the recommended altar 1st choice position was in position A. Or at worst position B. 2.2. Client asked whether she could position the altar at location Y. In the illustration; one can see that if the bedroom door is in an open position; the pillar at marking X would become a poison arrow (sha qi) aimed towards the proposed altar location. Which is not ideal.

This is not Feng Shui. But because some say it is inauspicious and cannotdraw a line between what is Feng Shui andsymbolism in Chinese culture. Under symbolism in Chinese culture, it is best not to have a straight row of three (3) pendant lights especially at the dining table. These lights are often found installed above a dining table and/or bar counter and/or breakfast niche.

In my opinion, this has more to do with common sense. Please see sample photo. The test is whether a person or child leaning on the edge of a table can topple it down? Thus this has more to do with the centre of gravity of the legs of the table and how stable the table top is.

1.IsBlock 508B stack #66 considered as a block at a "T-junction". 2. Yes, technically, this Block 508B is at a "T-junction". 3. But one should ask a further question: Is the T-junction a concern for stack #66? 4. Based on Common sense and "crime scene" enactment. 4.1. Try to imagine the country one is in. Right or left-hand drive? 4.2. Next, draw an indication of which side a road a vehicle would normally move along say Yishun Street 81 towards the junction between Yishun St 81 and Yishun Ave 4? 4.3. Please see attachment. 4.4. The red line(s) and arrow shows an imaginary situation if a vehicle plows through Yishun St 81 and straight towards Block 508B stack 66. 4…

Question: Master, may I do a quick check? Can son's bed be pushed back all the way to the wall where the window is? Reply: More to do with common sense then Feng Shui: 1. Installed grille? If not child can climb onto the window. 2. If windows open; strong winds and even some rain may come in. 3. If cigarette butt from top floor. If window always shut; no issue. Thus this has more to do with cow sense then Feng Shui.
