You wrote: I am new to fengshui but i like to seek some advice from you about new house. 1. Is it appropriate for a property to have a protruding wall directly outside the bedroom door? If not, what can be done? In my opinion, quite a lot of "issues" has it's origins in common sense then Feng Shui. And because it is common sense, some may not see the association and then proclaim it to be related to (or in the name) of Feng Shui. For example; why common sense? Here, one must use some imagination: How often we see someone running or dashing out of a door (be it a room or even a bedroom). And instead of running into an open h, the child could not stop in time or the floor…

Q: And on top how many light can we put ? Just one or can hv many light to shine on painting and right corner Reply: But if spot lights.. do buy lots of spares. As often the aircon servicing person is going to have their ladders kissing these lights and damaging them if they are not FLUSHED into the ceiling. So chose those flushed into the ceiling tillable lights are best.

@ Evergreen Park at Hougang Avenue 7 Any negative energy or harmful structures that may affect the living space? In the search for a new apartment, it is important to be mindful of any negative energy or harmful structures that may affect the living space. In the case of Evergreen Park at Hougang Avenue 7, the spikes on the open air carpark do not pose a threat to the 2nd storey apartments. This is fortunate as if there were apartments on the ground level, the trellis spikes could have created a poison arrow effect towards many of the units. Thankfully, this is not the case here.

Hi Cecil; For the main wooden door, is there any particular dimension like height or width that we need to watch out for?For the sliding or folding door at the patio to the living room, is the number of of door panels important? Reply: For the main door; in the past 1 room / 3 bedrooms and 4 & 5 bedrooms HDB's around the 1970's to early 1980's have door openings at 32". And plus the side frames it is a total of 35" If you want to tailor made a single door (or single with extra panel) then since the extra panel is rarely opened; the big door should range between 32" up to max of 35". Very hard to include the door frame if wood frame is used. (HDB usually use the thinne…

Source and credit: Stanhope Chesterfields Frankly, Feng Shui does not micro-manage this. Unless somehow some exceptions where say bright red or bright yellow may not be compatible to some areas. This Chesterfield sofa is acceptable. On the downside... many new (recent) Singapore condos are so “tiny” that it has become an utopian dream for these owners. Better dream on... no space for such a beautiful and comfortable piece!

HDB Punggol Edge Just T.O.P. Who would have realised by looking at a Sales Brochure sitemap or failed to do so if indicated; and then purchased a home. Only to find that there is a sub-station directly below the unit. When the time eligibility for the sale on the open market; some buyers may (not Feng Shui) -void buying such a unit. Although there is no empirical evidence to the contrary that this is bad. Resource link: oo

You wrote: "1. Can you tell me what it means from a feng shui apartment to have this type of floor plan, ie why we should close the bathroom door and what would happen if you don't. I'm concerned, but I don't want to be paranoid." Reply: There are two considerations: 1.1. Commonsense Feng Shui and "First Impressions Count." 1.1.1 Here, just imagine when we step into the home; visually if the toilet door is not closed; then our "first impression" is to see thewash basin + themirror. 1.1.2 It is like the notion of asking someone not to place the dining table so close to the main entrance door. Again this is cow-sense. Some of us l…

This is the standard way we understand of the effect of a building at a `T-junction'. This layout either for a One-way or Two-way road where traffic flows towards the house is inauspicious due to Sha Qi.

Overall, one of the purpose of the Pillars of Destiny is to find out generally are we blessed? Enjoy good life or are we destined to lead an average life or worse a "dog's" life. Some of us forgot that `wealth' does not necessarily mean money. For those who are blessed with money, will no matter how, enjoy wealth. The Limiting Factor (c) Cecil Lee For those of us who are "just average" and need to work to survive or work hard should accept the fact. If one looks at the Pillars of Destiny, majority of us fall under an average life. So no matter how much we try to chase after wealth (money) it is elusive. Is it worth it to go on forever chasing the `elusive' wealth right …

1. In the Gua Calculation, what calendar system to use? Before you even start to calculate the Gua Number, you should have already converted your YEAR of birth to the Chinese Lunar Calendar. All concepts on this website all bases it's calculation in relation to the Chinese Calendar system (and is done automatically for you when you use our online calculators). In Feng Shui there are two calendar system the Chinese Lunar Calendar System and the Xia Calendar System (or more accurately the Seasonal Calendar). Where the Xia Calendar is always closely related and can be deduced from the Lunar Calendar. In fact all Feng Shui theories so far are related to the Lunar Calendar. T…

1. The most common leak in a home is the toilet locating close to the center influence of the home. 2. If the toilet is located on top or beside of the main entrance of the home. 3. When there is a straight path where the Qi will enter from the main door and exit directly out of the house. URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-breath.htm 4. Missing Corners in the Homes (ie not a full square house) URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-building.htm When looking for a house, you should always try to avoid a house with any of the above 4 common leaks. With such leaks in the home, often your earth luck will be tremendously reduced.

No matter how good your heaven luck maybe, if you stay in a inauspicious house, you will be greatly influenced by the house. ie. a person who has excellent Feng Shui during the age of 30-50. But during his time, he moved into a new home. However, when checked with the Flying Star (Xuan Kong) Feng Shui, the house shows of a one with extremely bad feng shui. Thus, this person will not enjoy his favourable luck as defined in his Heaven Luck, but rather he will encounter series of problems such as Illness, Career problems etc. ie. a person who is not enjoying a good feng shui during the age of 30-50. But during this period, he is staying in an house with very good wealth col…

Eight House (Ba Zhai Yun) and Flying Star (Xuan Kong Feng Shui) are two of the compass schools. The compass school is one of the two major component for evaluation a home. In order to effectively evaluate your Home Luck you need to refer to:- 1. Shapes and Forms The surrounding of the building and the surrounding of the interior 2. Compass Schools 2a. Eight House / Eight Trigram is used as a way to personalise a person based solely on the Year of Birth to the environment. Thus, it's sole purpose if any is to provide you with some understanding as to which of the 4 directions are favourable for you and which are unfavourable for you. Thus, we have Eight Directions just as…

1. This reference chart proves to be a valuable tool in distinguishing the colors associated with each of the Five elements. 2. Additional factors must be taken into account: A. YELLOW COLOUR 2.1. Yellow can be classified as either the Metal (Gold) or Earth element at times. 2.2. The Earth element is mainly linked with the color yellow. Pay attention to the texture of the material. For instance, if the finish is matte, especially in curtains, then it can be categorized as yellow. 2.3. Nevertheless, if the material is shiny or contains "shiny" gold or gold-like threads, then it may be associated with the Metal (Gold) element instea…

Dear Chris, Please read below:- Actually, all the calendar are theoritically correct. However, I do find the Lunar Calendar significantly more accurate. And it can be found in almost any calendar (which has western date and chinese date). So it is easier to determine Auspicious Time. Several ways to determine an auspicious time. 1. Check the elements of the month, day, or minute. If it helps your element it is considered auspicious. 2. You can make use of the Flying Star or Xuan Kong Fei Xing to obtain auspicious time. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Eve, Overall, `disturbing' the Grand Duke would mean doing renovation (minor or major) but in this case, frankly, I don't see knocking a few holes on the East wall as one. It is ok to go ahead with this. But some overzealous FS practioner may say otherwise. As for the book, currently, I put it on hold for the moment.. but will continue this year. This is because I am currently working on the on-line course for www.geomancy-u.com and another reason is because currently, there are so many FS books out there and am still thinking of whether to come out with a `general' first book or looking into specialised areas to write on as I feel that it is no point coming out with…

Ba zi has indications of how competitive a person is. What is competitor under the Ten Deities of the Ba zi? The higher this number; implies that the person is highly competitive in nature. For example, a high score of 5 means that this person always try not to lose out to others. And would like to be either 1 or 2 or 3 place or ranking.

1. Drawing a parallel with the Titanic which sank. 1.1. Titanic had been designed to stay afloat with FOUR flooded compartments but not more. 1.2. When Titanic had a glancing blow with an iceberg; this buckled her right side = starboard. This caused a total of five out of her sixteen compartments to be flooded. 2. Often each home also can withstand a certain number of "flooding" of her compartments. Often, if there are around 3 rooms that have flooded; this home similar to the titanic will inevitable sink. 3. Thus all the material things that one try to enhance this home will literally sink with the home! 4. The main situation is to try to identify and fix as many (major)…

Dear Kenneth, Frankly, there is nothing much you can do to minimise the effects of the sitting position. The only other consideration is to check that:- 1. Your table should be against a wall or partition as a support. 2. The back of your chair should not be against a window. 3. There are no sharp corners or poison arrows pointing towards your seat. 4. Where possible you should feel comfortable with the lighting at your work area. 5. Aovid working close or sit opposite the toilet area or sharing an office wall with the toilet area or a passageway. The above are good Feng Shui practises for the office. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To…
