From: Glyn Hezakiah Subject: "Landed" in Singapore Date: Tue, 16 Apr 2002 19:44:27 +0800 To: Cecil Lee ------------------------------------- Cecil and Robert I am so thrilled that you have made your stamp on the tiny island. There is so much bullshit out there in FS land, finally I am happy to know that your brand of FS prevails. The following is a heartfelt endorsement of your success. Should you see fit to publish it on your website please do so. Cheers Glyn --------------------------------------- I have had the absolute priveledge of studying Feng Shui under the guidance of Masters Cecil and Robert Lee. Apart from learning the traditional method of this system, …

Further to what I had mentioned earlier, 1. I forgot to mentioned about 9-Star Ki. This model was first exported to Japan. The Japanese make it into a package which looks at individuals (some form of Heaven Luck) with Feng Shui (earth luck). A few practitioners include the other missing element i.e. Man-luck. 2. 9-Star ki can be considered as one and the same with Flying Star Feng Shui. 3. I believe, some good 9-Star Ki practitioners have properly included MAN-LUCK into the 9-Star Ki EARTH-LUCK analysis. And this is one of the most popular forms of Feng Shui practised by the British Gentlemen. 4. But always, there are many who will `miss' the point and concentrate only on…

Dear Karen, As a bathroom is a YIN location, the advise is that if the toilet is situated at an unfavourable location e.g. North-East, South-West (health problems), Centre of the house (wealth drained away) and next to the main entrance door (bad ch'i), it would be advisable to balance this " YIN " with YANG. To create a more `yang' environment in the bathroom (toilet) in a few ways such as keeping the toilet `bright'. Normally, blue colour is related to the North and based on the `intuitive' form of Feng Shui based on `feelings' such as the colours you feel you like. However, a neutral colour is white which is bright. As a reference, perhaps, you would like to review thi…

Under symbolism in Feng Shui, blue roof tiles represents water over the ceiling of the entire house. Under I-Ching, water represents difficulty. If my home's roof is already blue what should I do? The exterior wall should be painted white vs cream colour. And if the roof is grey, it is also best to paint the exterior of the home white not cream or other colour.

Feng Shui Emporium & Stores will try to sell you anything in the NAME of Fung Sway! In this instance, they could become rather imaginative and sell the Pi Yao based on RACE classification. Since us Chinese have YELLOW skin, guess what colour of Pi Yao should we purchase? Of course those yellowish as in Copper Pi Yao's. For Chinese who suntan alot; then recommended to purchase the slightly tan look Pi Yao i.e. the Bronze ones.... If you are endowed with grey hair, then even the Silver Pi yao is suitable. Got it, get it? When the buying stops, the selling can! In my opinion, since all theses are modern commercial products in the name of Fung Sway, it really don't ma…

Dear all, Looking at the street directory for a first-hand clue ===================================================== It is most important that we continue to remember the maxim: location, location, location. It is an advantage to get a local street directory; to have a "helicopter view" of your future home. In this example, (currently, this site has been redeveloped); the market place block 724 is like a `spear' piecing at a specific unit under block 713. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In my opinion, this has more to do with common sense. Please see sample photo. The test is whether a person or child leaning on the edge of a table can topple it down? Thus this has more to do with the centre of gravity of the legs of the table and how stable the table top is.

Question: No choice to put dining table in the middle of the living room as it is small. ?Just hope that it is not an issue as it is right in front of the altar? Reply: The suggested layout is acceptable. However, for practical considerations, the dining table is positioned directly in the center of the living room; it is uncertain whether this arrangement obstructs movement, particularly for elderly individuals. As previously mentioned, numerous landed properties with an altar have it oriented towards the dining table: Please refer to the attached document. You will observe that the altar is frequently situated in the area indicated by the red …

Dear All, Frankly, I have no time yet to translate an article posted to a Chinese Newspaper. Feng Shui can be applied transparently into a home - without one even knowing that the specific home has been "Feng Shui-ed". This letter is from a client of mine... Warmest Regards, Cecil

  15. Previously, she has problems having children. After Feng Shui consulation, she had two lovely twins: a boy and a girl. Feng Shui cannot guarantee success. But, can help to further improve chances especially if there are any imbalances in one's home. Had another case, a client who stayed in Rosewood condo. (She happens to work for a company that uses my Feng Shui service). And after the consultation, managed to have a baby boy.

  18. Can I check. If my fridge can be seen from the main door as it's an open concept kitchen. Does it pose an issue? 1. This is part of open concept. It is not threatening. You should expect it. 2. Contrary to some others, a regular fridge when closed is surrounded by mostly metal = a metal box. And such a fridge is not issue even if seen from the main door. 3. However, it may make a difference if perhaps, the fridge has a water and/or ice dispenser on one of it's doors. 4. Or instead a wine fridge where the front door is virtually a see thru glass piece. 5. If one "insists" of having an open concept kitchen, something has to give. 6. Fortunately…

  19. Question: Can I do the first time open door procedure before the 7th month. And during the 7th month continue with the renovations. Is it ok to choose an auspicious date that is suitable to one partner but average for the other. Reply: 1. The concern of the 7th month is that when one leaves a home vacant; some are afraid that the "hungry ghosts" may come and live in the home. And if one suddenly disturbs them, they get "angry". But see Para 2 below 2. Thus, it is a good idea to start renovations and continue during the 7th month. Here, the hungry ghosts are also like humans; if there are lots of noise and construction, they will not want to "come in". 3. No issue to selec…

  20. Can I hang a protruding light at the bedroom hallway? Reply: Often an aircon serviceman or something carrying a ladder may have to pass through this narrow corridor. Most of the time, the service person does not look up and at times, the tip of the ladder may hit or damage a protruding hallway light. Thus it is preferred to use flushed lights to ensure or minimize such an accident (if any)

  21. Hello master, Is a pot filler such as the one in the attached photo where it is right on top of the stove bad Feng shui? If so, if we just not use it, would that be a remedy or still better not to have it at all? Thanks! Reply: Dear xxxx, Thanks for the photo. These are some considerations: 1. Make sure that the inlet pipe for this pot filler is not anywhere near the surface or at least 6 or more inches from the stove. 2. Under Symbolism in Feng Shui, here the water (as in water pipe) and fire (stove clash). 2.1. Actually, this has more to do with common sense. If one has the inlet pipe of this pot filler close-by to the stove, the wat…

Frequently, when a mirror is positioned directly beneath an air conditioner, it is possible for the air conditioning unit to leak water, which can subsequently harm the mirror(s). The mirrors possess coatings that are applied to the back to create the characteristic "mirror" reflection. These mirrors are affixed to a piece of plywood prior to being mounted on the wall. The plywood itself is also capable of absorbing moisture. In Singapore, the humidity levels often exceed 60 percent. Alternatively, an air conditioner may direct cold air onto the surface of the mirror, leading to potential flaking of the mirror. It is important to note that the mirrors …

  23. These are some considerations: 1. Take a look at the attached photo. Although this photo is from a shop-store located in a shopping complex. 2. From the photo; one can obviously see lots of items and even fallen pieces of paper all over the place. 3. Thus, based on "commonsense" think hard before one replaces a kitchen wall or even a study room wall with glass. 3.1. By installing glass panels; one has to make sure that the specific room or kitchen has to be extremely, extremely tidy! 3.2. Furthermore; if lots of glass is used; the joints need to be considered. In this sample shop-store; the joints of the glass seems to "slice" thru the counter girl's "image". This is no…

  25. 1. Nowadays, there is a concern of bird flu or those N1H1 type of disease. 2. Again, the architect or pool designer got it all wrong! 3. Such wall features encourage birds = bird baths. 4. For just a few minutes, I have seen at least 8 to 12 birds attracted to the wall water spouts. And a few even flap their wings and wash themselves on these "bird baths". 5. Don't get me wrong. It looks "nice". But, nowadays with the dreaded bird flu; we don't want their flu to be actively passed to us humans. What more from a shared facility. 6. Here, it is odd that we were advised to wash ourselves first before jumping into the pool; to reduce the incidence of disease; here, these bir…
