In the past, many condos or private estates were very strict in that no “dirty laundry” should be visible from the balcony or living room windows. Nowadays, it is taken for granted that I may do so. Even if the condo by laws said no to this. It is still strictly applied here:

Apologies that I am still not very sure. So the move from the current washing machine now at the window if we shift to the washing basin area with front load will be better n will not impact the 3 bed layouts? Reply: This is not Feng Shui. Based on pure common sense. As either power or soap is used. If power it can contaminate the bedroom If the washing machine is warm, some soap moisture or white powder can contaminate the bedroom. Common sense. Not everything is Feng Shui, here

Is common sense still Fung Sway? LOL Hi Cecil, good morning...we would like to buy main door entrance lights cos got 12.12 sale and would like to seek your advise if any of these are not suitable. Is there any design, material, colour etc that should be avoided? Is white/cool white/warm light preferred or doesn't matter? Reply: Must be careful later whether door can open or not. As the Viking (ceiling = iPhone changed it) at the front door is Low.. thus may affect door opening or closing and during air con service may break it when ladder brought in

Hi good afternoon Master Lee, I am looking at #01-xx. May I ask which is worst? Opening the front door to face the stairs or opening the front door to face rubbish chute? Worst is to face rubbish chute. By law, the stairs door has to be closed at all times.

Question: Hi Cecil, if we put dining table at our balcony. Any fengshui indication for our family ? Comments: This is not Feng Shui. More to do with common sense and taboos (if any).. Like external even with external blinds.. can be windy or if blinds are open.. even at 10 storeys can find insects... There is a condern if no invisible grilles... children can climb on the chair and tables and dangerous.. Thus is more of a lifestyle thing...

1. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, one has to correctly identify the?Temporary Occupational Licence (T.O.P. date) 2. For HDB flats: the valuation report does not say "T.O.P." but rather "Lease commence date". 3. But recently, some evaluation report says "Tenure" For example: 99 years leasehold with effect from 1 July 2012. 4. See sample TWO attachments. 4.1 Anyway, call it TOP, lease commencement date or Tenure.. all are one and the same meaning. 5. For now, until 2024 onwards..all Singapore HDB flats will have to come under one of these three choices:- [??? ]? 1964 to 1983? (Period 6) #6 was the wealth star [??? ]??1984 to 2003? (Period 7) #7 also past prosperity sta…

Q: “Master good afternoon The glass backing for our study table need to be in 2 pieces. Is it ok to have it in 2 equal pieces or better to be in 3 pieces? Thank you ??“ Reply: There is really no issue with a study table be it 1,2 or 3 lines. Equal or non equal. Only thing not that nice to seat at a table working with a spilt line there. Based on visual common sense

Master Cecil, from all the recommended plans by HDB, it seems like the water supply is opposite of the kitchen. Like that the sink can be seen from the front door according to your pdf. What should we do to address the the inauspicious? Reply: Sink don’t face stove Ok, so sink don't face stove and that is it? Reply: Yes

Hi Cecil: how are you? I have making little progress renovating the house.. this time, we are putting in a wood pergola in our East facing patio backyard. You mentioned something about the rafter facing the house before.. our builder is building this design pergola and the rafter either side will have to point next to the house. Anything we can do to remedy? Does the rafter tail design helps a bit? Pic following

Question: Instead of placing my dining table at the purple marking "A"; Can I place my dining table at marking "B", instead i.e. facing the main door. Repy: 1. When entering a residence, our attention is typically drawn to the immediate environment around us. 2. Imagine, for some individuals, they tend to clutter their dining table with various items such as old cell phones, chargers, and books. What kind of impression does this give? 3. It is advisable to have a barrier between the dining table and the front door to maintain privacy. However, many partition walls have openings for display, making the dining table partially visible. 4. If there is…

1. To be frank, I have the latest Suunto solid aluminium compass set for Region 3 (Singapore and the equator). 2. But still; one major flaw is that whenever I am in a building with lots of steel rods for support (look at it this way: all modern high-rise uses re-inforced steel for building support!) 3. Surprisingly, such a low technology or LOW TECH brass compass is my saviour ... when I am deep in a large building that has odd shaped floor space and entrances much like those mega or hype buildings. 4. Many industrial buidlings have even more steel in their structures to support the higher Per Newton Kilo load. 5. This attached brass compass which I bought at a c…

Hi Cecil. I just went to my new neighbor house beside us. They have the sofa/seating area in front of the lift and the dining area in the hall, looks very spacious. Can we do the same? Any negative impact geomancically? More to do with common sense: When one enter the main door and or from the living room sliding door, in this case, we will now encounter the dining table. Thus if one's dining table is messy .. cluttered .. then first-impressions count. Fortunately, your currently your living room and dining is raised one level high. Thus even if one dines at the front (living room side) not many outsiders can see dinner or lunch time nor see the t…
