You really need to find out the correct issues or problems. Most common mistake is to take the easy way out and be taken in into buying useless commercial products in the name of Feng Shui. Feng Shui Emporium & Stores will try to sell you anything in the NAME of Fung Sway! In this instance, they could become rather imaginative and sell the Pi Yao based on RACE classification. Since us Chinese have YELLOW skin, guess what colour of Pi Yao should we purchase? Of course those yellowish as in Copper Pi Yao's. For Chinese who suntan alot; then recommended to purchase the slightly tan look Pi Yao i.e. the Bronze ones.... If you are endowed with grey hair, then even the Silver Pi yao is suitable. Got it, get it? When the buying stops, the selling can! In my opinion, since all theses are modern commercial products in the name of Fung Sway, it really don't ma…

  5. Location: Blossom Residences When determining the frontage of the house, one of the key considerations is whether the potential frontage has a natural light "bright hall" effect. Time photo taken was at 9am - bright sunshine outside. Here, these two units's main entrance door is dim = yin. And less likely to be considered as the frontage of the home(s). For these two units; the potential frontage should usually be standing inside the living room looking out of the balcony or if no balcony looking out of the windows. And if the rest of the bedrooms also overlook this direction; then this is the most likely frontage.

  9. Dear Master Cecil, we bought a new period 8 north1 bungalow. It has 2,9,5, 7,4,9, 9,2,7, in the front. The front door is in between North and North-East sector, and the master bedroom is in between the North-West and North sector. Is this a good house to stay? Or there are ways to rectify the bad stars? thank you. susiechong

  10. Hi Cecil. I just went to my new neighbor house beside us. They have the sofa/seating area in front of the lift and the dining area in the hall, looks very spacious. Can we do the same? Any negative impact geomancically? More to do with common sense: When one enter the main door and or from the living room sliding door, in this case, we will now encounter the dining table. Thus if one's dining table is messy .. cluttered .. then first-impressions count. Fortunately, your currently your living room and dining is raised one level high. Thus even if one dines at the front (living room side) not many outsiders can see dinner or lunch time nor see the t…

  14. Dear Chris, To clarify, what rooms are these? Are these 2 rooms the bedrooms? The only other way at present is to close the door when not in use. Yes, if the main door is facing a road lamp, it is best to place a Pakua above the main entrance door. The following are other alternatives:- 1. Placing a semi circle carpet outside the door. Best to have a diagram of a sun's rays or spokes radiating from the centre of the carpet. 2. If your friend's house is a private apartment, one can replace the door with a convex door. A convex door is to dispell sha ch'i. 3. If there are steps leading to the home, one can use semi-circle steps. 4. Tilt the main entrance door to a …

  15. Dear Chris, The most important consideration under the Eight House Theory is that the house should suit the breadwinner. This is the main concept of the Eight House Theory. The good news is that there are many couples who have `opposite' houses ie. one partner East house and the other partner West house. What you should look at is:- On Death and Disaster Intangible force I have mentioned in a few replies that in terms of unsuitability of a house, Death ranks first and Disaster ranks second. The main thing you should have is that as far as possible both these inauspicious intangible force do not flow thru a. Main Entrance door b. Bedroom Here, for example in the bedroom, a…

Thanks for highlighting this interesting question. 1. I believe, some of the authors or practioners are not Singaporeans are not aware of the concept of HDB flats. Here the confusion may arise. This is because, first of all Feng Shui can be applied at a very macro level e.g. to assess the location of a city and building. Therefore, here, I feel the confusion may thus arise. It is not wrong to apply Feng Shui assessment to a whole building or…

Dear Robert / Cecil, You have mentioned that one of the most important thing to look up for when selecting a house is to ensure that the house is not facing the death or disaster for the breadwinner. What if happen that the death and disaster lines are where the main entrance located but the bedroom of the breadwinner is on the Excellent line. Can we have some fengshui cures for this inauspicious situation as mentioned above. If yes, kindly advise how. After placing the necessary fengshui cures, we the breadwinner enjoy the full fengshui advantages? Mang Thanks, AMK

Dear Chris, Thank you for your information. Two weeks ago, I provided similar advice to yours, as the client has a window set between both sides of the bed. Specifically, I recommended that she close the left window, which is adjacent to the toilet area. In my opinion, you have offered sound advice. This client has her bedroom door directly in the narrow corridor facing the garage door, which is not ideal. In her situation, it would be advisable to keep the bedroom door closed. Honestly, in your situation, I do not see much additional advice beyond ensuring that the bed is positioned 'correctly' in relation to the room's layout and other factors such a…

Hi Randy, Again, from some feng shui book that I have read, if you can't relocate your toilet or your main entrance, I will advise you not to use the toilet above the main entrance (I believe you have more than 1 toilet right?). In addition, you may want to have a lamp at the entrance and ensure it is on for 24 hrs. This is what we call the "chang ming deng" in feng shui which will help to reduce the negative qi with its yang energy. Regards, Chris Ng

  22. Under Symbolism in Feng Shui, it is best not to use blue glass or blue tint on windows....

  23. Started by Cecil Lee,

    1. Under Symbolism in Feng Shui, it is considered inauspicious to accept or approve the placement of any signage especially if there is a "spilt" in the middle of the signage: 1.1. It literally symbolises a "split" or disharmony of family relationships. 1.2. Under commonsense approach, there is a literal or real split due to wear and tear at the top middle portion of the signage as shown under red marking "A". 2. For business, it is more important to specify that your company signage should not be split in the middle - if possible. Thus instead of two pieces joined together, if really no choice at least a three piece background would be better choice.
