Dear Anon & Emily, 1. Certainly, this is one of the most contentious areas within the practice of Feng Shui. 2. Nevertheless, to reduce this issue, I prefer to delve into various important aspects, so that by the conclusion, everyone can gain a clearer understanding. 3.It is imperative for us to grasp ideas such as: 3.1 Facing and Sitting directions 3.2 The "Mouth-of-the-house". 4. These two are related. 5. In many cases, the main entrance of a landed property is considered to be the "mouth of the house" due to its location facing the frontage. This is a common occurrence as we typically approach the front of the home by driving up to i…

Yes, in my opinion; just wrap it up old newspaper and either keep it away or throw it away. Such things always never place it near to ancestor tablet.

  4. Further to what I had mentioned; 1. Always remember, a plot at a T-junction is at the mercy of "Commonsense" Feng Shui. 2. The test is: "Can a run-amok vehicle be able to slam into the property?" Yes or No? If Yes, then this is most likely as illustrated in the attachment a potential plot (in this case) a home facing a T-junction. 3. The assumption is that it is not a one-way street where traffic flows away from the T-junction. It also depends on which country one is in: a Right-Hand drive or Left-Hand drive.

These are futher considerations: 1. By the way the "certain group of people" you mentioned are:- 1.1. Mainly, the Cantonese dialect group. The idea here is, yes, the mirror would reflect bountiful food. 1.2. The other group I am afraid especially especially for those new condominiums are the Interior Designers (IDs)... as often, there are not much work needed; thus some ID's would often recommend the placement of large mirror(s) to make the living area looks larger.. In addition, they often say that it would be good to place a partition. It is all about marketing and in my opinion; one way of getting more work from the apartment/unit. 1.3. From a Flying Star Feng Shui…

    1. I refer to the attached example: Example THREE as the "lazy person method: or simply the no passion in work type of method. 2. Often, this method is used by some Geomancers who hire staff to prepare reports for them. 3. And, if one look at the attachment carefully, this method of finding the centre-point is indeed a no-brainer senario: Find all the corners and join each opposite corners to determine the centre-point. 4. I believe in this way, the Geomancer do not need to have their staff breathing behind their backs all the time to check with them: Did I correctly get the centre-point right?" 5. However, in my opinion; this type of method may be used especially if the…

Thanks to the vision of the late Steve Jobs; For on-site consultations; many of the presentations are now on ipad and this results in less printed copies of reports. Clients also benefit from reports burned-into a CD-ROM. We were once guilty of cutting down so many trees. The tide has turned for the better!

  10. Further to what I had mentioned, 1. In the past, I had often brought out the need to use this simple TOOL:- The Three-Step-Approach 2. The above simple tool is about tracing the roots of a concept. And if we were to trace the roots; often, based on common sense, we can deduce which evolution tree a concept falls into. 3. Not only a concept falls into but rather what was it's chief evolution path. 4. Thus, in this simple attachment, if we trace Kua (Gua number) it falls under the evoluntionary tree of Feng Shui. 4.1. While what you mentioned, a snake be it a cobra, python or whatever snake; the concept of snake is based on Chinese Zodiac signs and falls under the evolution…

The attached illustration shows that there is a "SCIENCE" in Feng Shui. 4. Furthermore, from the illustration:Gua or Kua has limited usage.

  12. Further to what I had mentioned earlier, you could perhaps see if any of the following helps or not:- (In no correct order) 1. If you do apply some cures: The Customer Engineer Concept 2. Fix-the-Leak, First! Often your apartment should have at least two or easily three major issues. You really need to find out the correct issues or problems. Most common mistake is to take the easy way out and be taken in into buying useless commercial products in the name of Feng Shui. This is like for some; overeating to try to overcome or let them forget their problems. 3. Feng Shui Triage Reminder: If there is no proper trouble-shooting; Garbage in garbage out. 4. The Concept of Max…

Today, more and more are seeking Feng Shui advice prior to placing a deposit to buy a home. Like I always say, this is a smart move indeed! Indeed, it applies equally to both looking for a new (resale) home and/or finding a new office / business space. Reference: under TOPIC 5/5 of this link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=12&mid=30814&new= Like this link, it is often a fore-GONE conclusion, once they had taken up the space... Here, in my opinion, even GOD, can't help this business.

Wind Chimes used as CURES: 1. Wind chimes used as CURES must never be too colourful or too decorative. 2. Best to have HOLLOW rods and the preferred wind chimes have six hollow rods. But if one desperately cannot find those with six hollow rods, may consider as a last resort 5 hollow rods.

From young all of us have an innate ability to use our instincts. Some may get it 100% right. Some may not. Some may get additional aid (e.g. Feng Shui) so that later, then can make an informed decision.

  19. Most homes in general fall between a hidden gem vs a rotten apple... To assess this; and in Feng Shui, a triage is required to find out the home's rating: Good, the bad, the average or the "ugly"...

  21. Whenever one looks at proposed layout plans for a home that has more than one storey high: 1. Always superimpose the 2nd storey layout onto the ground floor layout and vice-versa. 1.1. For the ground floor layout; always check that the 2nd storey toilet(s) especially the sewerage pipe and WC is not directly any "important" areas like : directly above the main entrance, above the dining table and/or above a bed and/or the kitchen stove and/or above an altar. 1.2. At the second storey, always check where is the stove at the ground floor in relation to the bed.

Majority of the time, it is acceptable to have a water position at the FRONTAGE. The main reason is based on pure common sense. Whenever we have a pool of water or a water position: it simply implies that nothing else can be built on-top of or above this water position. If so, it allows for unobstructed view or clear space = bright hall effect. Which is advantages for the "collection" or accumulation of qi or allowing simply for better flow of AIR.

Always ask yourself, first. Has this to do with pure common sense? Rather than rubber-stamp it as pure Feng Shui? As this is a bungalow house and it's own compound. Some owners decide to plant a prickly plant at strategic locations like corner of the home to deter would-be thieves.
