Dear Jason, You many need to double check if you selected weak earth. And for that module because the changes is very minor, sometimes you may be viewing the cached version either at your ISPs proxy server or your browsers cache, just refresh the page and you should be able to solve this problem. Basically, the first portion of the report tells you the inter-relationship between the other elements and your main element. The next portion tells you the detailed elements which are favourable or unfavourable to you. The table at the bottom of the report will provide some examples, as this portion is pretty complex, it will not provide every possible relationship instead provi…

Under symbolism in Feng Shui, artifical plants may be used to represent the wood element. Especially in a water feature or if a young couple has no time to water the plants everyday.

Dear Master Cecil Lee I was reading through the past articles in the forum and came upon this where it was advised to used bright lights against #5? I am afraid I don't understand as I thought bright light is considered strong yang and also fire element (which enhances #5)? Thank you! Dear Master Lee, Usually one would use metal (6-rod windchimes, 6-coins) to cure the #5 Earth star, but I came across a recent article that talks about curing the #5 Yellow using the balance of Yin and Yang. It says to put 8 white-colored stones (to represent 8 White star) in the sector of the #5. The idea is to have 8 Earth (Yin) to balance 5 Earth (Yang) and neutrali…

Dear Sir: A follow up to my question: i.e. ifI haveyear sign of a metal monkeybut my day stemhave an earth element, how do I choose a compatible mate? a. Do I have to choose someone who have a water or earth sign to match it with my metal monkey or b. Do I have to choose someone who have a metal or fire sign to match it with myday stem element which isan earth element. (If youmake an analysis of the situation - the compatibility of the earth elementcontradicts the compatibility of my metal element) So which is much more important??? If the day stem is more important than the year element in choosing a compatible mate, do I have to look for somebody based on their day s…

Dear Robert Lee Hi, thanks and gladfully to clear my doubts and enlighten me. Have another question. As I am a strong earth and husband weak water. He needs water and metal to strengthen his element. Right! Does that mean as well with his productive cycle helps my element too? A bit of complication here. The North West location eg. MS3, BS9, WS6 according to flying star chart report said to use metal (white/gold) to exhaust the weaken earth. Does that mean itsalso related to any memberof the family element (either to weaken or either to strength the element). I hope you understand what I mean here. Sorry for the confusing questions. Appreciate your reply. Thank you o…

Dear Master Robert Lee Hi again and goodmorning. As always, thanks for your advice. I now understand what is triple combinations. Now, quite confusewith the flying star. A mountain or water star that can be activated are only stars that are based on the period of the base period. ie period 8, auspicious mountain/water star is star 8. If such stars are not present for example, then there isn't any benefit in activating it. So the triple combination does not convert a ordinary star into an auspicious mountain/water star. As such you cannot activate it. As base period, ie period 8, auspicious mountain/water star is star 8 then such star is auspicious and it's benefit i…

Further to what I had mentioned, for any landed property, the "easiest" fix is to use a "top view" approach - inclusive of a lamp post or even the use of landscaping such as a row of plants or even tiles that show an outline of the missing corner. Inside the home, if Flying Star Feng Shui is used to assess the interior of the home, if there are in general #3's (quarrels, conflicts and disputes) then a Feng Shui practitioner may recommend the use of "lighting" to burn off #3 and or use fire element e.g. such as red to burn off this bad start. However, this is only a general statement as all flying star number variables has to be looked at e.g. mountain star, water star a…

Thanks for the advice. Clarification was done and the "Only Salt + Water" Cure that I'm required to change every month was to be placed in the ?? position of my house that happens to be the Southeast position. And it's to prevent illnesses like sore throats and also to prevent arguments among the occupants. Again, I spent this afternoon searching the net with no answers..

These are some considerations: 1. The main consideration is based on cultural sensitivities (if any). 2. Other than that; why is there a need to beholden to one's favourable or unfavourable element. This does not make sense? 3. For example, take an example of a 1 or 2 carat diamond. You think a girl friend who's element is unfavourable to diamond would refuse it. 4. Please note that this area has nothing to do with Feng Shui or what ever. 5. Given a gift is not like one is fixed or glued to the gift. 6. Please don't be one of the very first to be obnoxious with such things. 7. There are more important things in life than such "peanuts".

Under the five elements concept: although gold colour represents the metal element. But often, gold may also look like yellow. Thus if a room or sector particularly has nasty #5 bad yellow; yellow colour is not ideal for that room. And on the safe side; try to avoid anything that may possibly look like yellow in a sector. In this case, this yellow globe can look like yellow even if it is "gold".

In my view, the following are some important considerations: 1. The concept is that one is not wedded to the waterfall itself, but rather situated close to it. 1.1. One might be apprehensive about being married to a waterfall. However, since this is not a lasting arrangement, and provided that the waterfall does not disrupt the ceremony—such as water splashing onto guests or food—it is generally acceptable. 1.2. Alternatively, if the sound of the waterfall significantly overwhelms the atmosphere and disrupts the announcements and activities of the wedding. 2. Most of the aforementioned points relate to common sense. 3. Auto-suggestion and self-ful…

Dear Sharron, No, it does not mean that. You can still wear red if you want to. Five elements is in itself a complex theory. One should try to gain balance from the various elements. For example, if from the Pillars of Destiny you find that you lack of Earth. Then the best personal cure to apply is to wear Earth colour clothings to gain back the balance. It is like saying a human body, should have a well balance food diet. Too much of sugar, salt, etc is not good right? But without any sugar and salt, your body will also complain right? So the essence of the Five Element is to allow a balance in you. This means that even if a certain amount of element is bad for you, this…

Dear Michelle, Sorry, can you clarify how you derive " Water & earth in my living room " is it because one part of your living room has the Water (North) and I assume North East is the (Earth)? Usually when we apply the 5 elements concept we do not have a `pairing' like what you suggested e.g. earth or water, metal and fire. But rather, a more accurate way is check a person's main element and strength. For example if the person's main element is Strong Fire and his bedroom is located at the North. We can introduce the colour blue in his bedroom to cool down his strong fire. This is based on the Principle of equilbrium i.e. a person's element should not be either Stron…

Dear Michelle, As a novice, you can feel your way around by doing what you have done... to do check the degree of suitability of your home with your personal `kua' using the Eight House Theory. I am not sure if you have read this url: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm as it provides a step-by-step guide as how you can `quickly' do a Eight House Audit of your home. In this step-by-step guide the following are what you can do:- 1. Firstly, find the centre of the house. 2. Mark it down on a copy of your house layout plan. 3. Stand in the centre of the house and from this position, use an ordinary compass and find out the direction of the main entrance door. If your door …

Dear Rose, Thanks again for your observation skills! -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'five-element-cures' suppressed 'five-element-cures' suppressed> Date: Saturday, May 08, 1999 4:24 PM Subject: 5-Element Associated Behaviours / Symptoms I have actually covered this in the Applied Feng Shui course. Briefly, this `observation' is based on the Yin and Yang theory. For example if you take salty food.. (which is Yang) you tend to need liquid (Yin). If a person sufffers a heart attack (Yang) one needs Rest (Yin). The above is based on the philosophy of Tai Ji. Yes, this makes sense. You have correctly explained it using the Five Ele…

Dear Rose, What you have described is based on the Eight Aspirations or Life Aspirations or Associations. It is based on interpretation of each of the Eight Trigrams. As each of the Trigrams has a direction, therefore many Feng Shui authors like to write about it in their books. Like you have cleverly deduced, that it is too general and does not take into account NOT even a person's Gua number, and thus more easy for book authors to write about. Even the Eight House Theory takes into account our personal Gua number and thus, it can be considered to be personalised to each of us. But the Eight Aspirations or associations e.g. South-West = Romance or Relationship is too gen…

Dear Rose, The best shape of a fish tank is either rectangular or round. A hexagonal shaped fish tank is associated with the water element and is considered OK. Avoid a fish tank that is triangular in shape (fire element) and square (earth shape). The above information plus the one mentioned by Eve can be found in my first book. Hi, Please read below:- Yes, that analysis breaks down the problem to the related element suitable to solve this problem. This actually means that you can make use of elements recommended to cure that location. It is not possible to put in all the various type of cures because each location is specific. What if Wood is recommended, but in your pillars you are a strong wood, thus, another alternative may be necessary. So by leaving it there, it allows for more interpretation and comparision. If you are uncertain you can always post a message to us for help. Basically, by leaving it to basic element, you can use any of what you have mentioned or suggested by the Five E…

Dear Nansi, Apologise for the late reply, was browsing through the message and found this still unanswered. Please read below:- Try to divide your Eight House using the pie lines and make sure you do not stay directly in the death line. Rather then the 9 square format. It is a little more accurate with the pie line division. Just avoid staying directly under the disaster line. Another suggestion is to strengthen yourself with your favourable elements, this will also help to counteract or reduce the influence. You see, even if you are a strong Earth, but without fire, you do not have a mother or a resource these are what essentially created you. So you still need …
