Dear Nhan Vo, Often, the white crystals are the evaporated "white" salt crystals, that was stirred into the water. And perhaps, a little of the chemical reaction of salt with the surface of the copper coins. It is good to check the Flying star numbers at the specific sector and to check whether, one's home could `fly' into the new period 8 or not. And at the same time, if the #5 does not fly into the location for the year, then, one may not need to consider the use of this `cure'. As mentioned, in my past message(s) on this cure, one has to actively `monitor' it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi James, Although, I have replied you via e-mail. I am replying this in general for other user's benefit:- james koh wrote: Dear Robert, I know this has probably been discussed thousand times but I could not find it in the forum. I have confusion finding my main door. I stays on the 10th floor. I don't know whether should I consider this a low floor to use my hall windows as main door. Secondly, can I get the facing of my main door by standing right at my door looking outside? Frankly, I hope I could do this or else standing from centre of my apartment will give my door disastrous direction. Thanks in advance James …

Dear Sharron, No, it does not mean that. You can still wear red if you want to. Five elements is in itself a complex theory. One should try to gain balance from the various elements. For example, if from the Pillars of Destiny you find that you lack of Earth. Then the best personal cure to apply is to wear Earth colour clothings to gain back the balance. It is like saying a human body, should have a well balance food diet. Too much of sugar, salt, etc is not good right? But without any sugar and salt, your body will also complain right? So the essence of the Five Element is to allow a balance in you. This means that even if a certain amount of element is bad for you, this…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: The binding elements to get the two parties to be compatible or reduce conflict is Water & Earth. This means that the five element compatibility isn't the best match element. ie weak wood vs weak earth. weak wood destroy weak earth. So particularly bad for weak earth. The reason for the two elements is so that one element can strengthen one person and the other to strengthen the other person. ie. water & earth = water to make weak wood stronger, while earth to strengthen weak earth. There are also many other combinations you can choose:- ie. either wood & fire - ie wood strengthen weak wood, and fire strengthen weak earth. …

Most people usually don't have the time nor the patience to monitor Flying Stars up to the micro levels. The key success factor is to consider the 20 Year Flying Star and concentrate on this. And the very few look at the Yearly stars. Thus, if the yearly stars together with the 20 year Flying stars are examined, this is often already very good. If one wants to go into the monthly flying stars; then best to consider the most serious star e.g. #5. And for other stars like #3, consider it in-relation to how many of these stars are within the 20 year, year at that sector. Only those with better knowlege can look at it with other stars like #4 etc...

1. Yes, precisely! The trouble with some Feng Shui practitioners is that they merely visit your home for a short duration. And in my opinion, frankly totally irresponsible to ask their client not to use the master bedroom. This is as good as not using the master bedroom and master toilet. 2. There are ways to neutralise what you had mentioned. And based on the star numbers that you have given, one do not need to resort to the earlier advice under Para 1. It is as good as telling you, move out. Try to contact the practitioner and "demand" for a cure for it. As well as to wake him (her) up to the fact that such "cures" suggested is totally unsatisfactory!

Dear Fraser, Usually, symbolism takes precedence over the material of the object. For example, if it is a wooden pyramid; we should consider it of the fire element as it has a pointed top. Secondly, the colour of the object usually also takes precedence over the material used. For example, if it is a red plastic chair, we should consider it as a fire element. One important point to note is that we should not be overly concerned with every `small' object we find around us. As a guide, we should consider objects that are 33.3 percent of the overall size of the room or area as having an impact on us. Otherwise, one should not concern ourselves with it. The same is not true i…

From a Ba Zi point of view, the auspicious or inauspicious date(s) are calculated in relation to one's Chinese zodiac sign. In addition, human factor like feel good or not so good.. can also affect one's bearing. Thus in doubt, can or should postphone it.

In my view, the following are some important considerations: 1. The concept is that one is not wedded to the waterfall itself, but rather situated close to it. 1.1. One might be apprehensive about being married to a waterfall. However, since this is not a lasting arrangement, and provided that the waterfall does not disrupt the ceremony—such as water splashing onto guests or food—it is generally acceptable. 1.2. Alternatively, if the sound of the waterfall significantly overwhelms the atmosphere and disrupts the announcements and activities of the wedding. 2. Most of the aforementioned points relate to common sense. 3. Auto-suggestion and self-ful…

Dear Carmen, Each are different analysis, depending on what you are looking for each analysis is used for different purpose. I would recommend that you follow these rules:- 1. Check out your ba zi element, find out what direction you house faces ie North facing house is Water element, if water element is your favourable, then it is suitable to your ba zi. Even if not so suitable, as long as it is still your favourable element as in second check should still be ok. 2. Check your 4 good & 4 bad direction (eight house report), if North is one of your favourable element, then it is a suitable house for you. Else it isn't. If isn't, ensure that it is not Death or …

Hi, Please read below:- Basically, in my opinion, it is more important to know why you want to wear certain objects. Is it to cure a certain element or for what? You see, Feng Shui is about harmony and not about specific objects which has been termed as Feng Shui wealth enhancers etc. There is actually no need to purchase such items if you know what you are doing. For example if you know you are a strong wood, then you know that what you need to do is to control your weak wood. Then you go about wearing red (for fire) to exhaust the strong wood. Or if you want to enhance your wealth then you wear earthly colours etc. These are the best ways you can do to make use of …

Dear Rose, Thanks again for your observation skills! -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'five-element-cures' suppressed 'five-element-cures' suppressed> Date: Saturday, May 08, 1999 4:24 PM Subject: 5-Element Associated Behaviours / Symptoms I have actually covered this in the Applied Feng Shui course. Briefly, this `observation' is based on the Yin and Yang theory. For example if you take salty food.. (which is Yang) you tend to need liquid (Yin). If a person sufffers a heart attack (Yang) one needs Rest (Yin). The above is based on the philosophy of Tai Ji. Yes, this makes sense. You have correctly explained it using the Five Ele…

Dear Theresa, Yes, metal is a good solution given that it creates a three-element flow ie. Under the productive sequence, there is a three combination, "auspicious" flow Earth - Earth - In the period 8, I would like to activate the sector of my house with water star 8, however it comes with a combination of mountain star 1, water star 8 and base star 5. As earth controls water and weaken self, prosperity will be withhold or weakened. I was told to place metal to neutralize the effect, but I wonder by implementing metal will it strengthen water and further weaken prosperity star 8? What is the best solution? This sector is painted green. Would a…

Dear Joe, Please read below:- Yes, it will help you strengthen your weak Fire. Especially if you have some wealth deities in your chart, you can then take advantage of the wealth deities when you are a stronger Fire. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Rose, The best shape of a fish tank is either rectangular or round. A hexagonal shaped fish tank is associated with the water element and is considered OK. Avoid a fish tank that is triangular in shape (fire element) and square (earth shape). The above information plus the one mentioned by Eve can be found in my first book. Hello I am moving to a new house that appears to suit my husband and I. The main doors are on the west and northwest of the house, and the rear of the house/yard is east facing. Both my husband and I are weak wood element, so we should do well with many water elements. We will be moving our koi with us, and it seems that the most auspicious place to have a koi pond is in the East or Southeast area of the property. However, as far as I understand, water features should be in the front of the house, not in the back. I have a small space in the front yard, but I would prefer to have the pond in the back yard since it is much larger and I will not have to worry about people…

Dear Nhan, In particular, especially for stars like #5 misfortune and sickness or #2 sickness, evidently, it would be a good idea to try to neutralise it. For example, if say the bedroom is that the second storey (floor) and so happens that #5 is in the bedroom; then a Feng Shui cure could be placed in the room. And similarly, it could be placed at the first or ground floor. However, for cures like salt water, it would be better that this location or this cure should be placed in a well ventilated place i.e. close to or at the window area. And not placed at a corner. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rose, What you have described is based on the Eight Aspirations or Life Aspirations or Associations. It is based on interpretation of each of the Eight Trigrams. As each of the Trigrams has a direction, therefore many Feng Shui authors like to write about it in their books. Like you have cleverly deduced, that it is too general and does not take into account NOT even a person's Gua number, and thus more easy for book authors to write about. Even the Eight House Theory takes into account our personal Gua number and thus, it can be considered to be personalised to each of us. But the Eight Aspirations or associations e.g. South-West = Romance or Relationship is too gen…

Dear Rameshwaran, In my opinion, it is not correct to say that a Strong Fire person's `lucky element' is wood. In fact, too much wood is unfavourable to a Strong Fire person. Yes, a strong fire and weak fire e.g. partners can use binding elements. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Nhan Vo, Frankly, wind chime is useful if placed outside the house or close to the window area. It can be very irritating if you place inside the house especially in your situation. Alternative to a wind chime, you can choose to suitable colour scheme such as White/Gold (Metal) colours to balance up the sector. Alternatively, use the 6 coins with red string as an alternative. But also it depends on what is the other stars in the sector, sometimes if there is a star 6 in the sector, then I don't think the star 5 annual star may be that of a big issue. I think you should consider the implications of a wind chime as it can be very irritation for the family. So instea…

Hi, Please read below:- Yes, that analysis breaks down the problem to the related element suitable to solve this problem. This actually means that you can make use of elements recommended to cure that location. It is not possible to put in all the various type of cures because each location is specific. What if Wood is recommended, but in your pillars you are a strong wood, thus, another alternative may be necessary. So by leaving it there, it allows for more interpretation and comparision. If you are uncertain you can always post a message to us for help. Basically, by leaving it to basic element, you can use any of what you have mentioned or suggested by the Five E…
