Five Element Cures (Wu Xing)

Five Element (Wu Xing Zhi Liao) Cures

Dear Anon, Please see below:- There is only 2 bad wood #3. Given that there ia a #5 (strong earth), the two bad wood is not as bad since, under the destructive cycle, it will help to neutralise the bad earth #5. If one goes thru the destructive cycle, wood destroys earth. For example, the roots of a tree (wood) goes into the earth to "crush" it. It would not be a good idea to introduce Fire under the above senario as fire would further inflame the bad earth. For example, under the productive cycle, Fire fuels earth element. Given that there is a bad #7, this is not too bad considering:- TWO of the bad #3 sets out to neutralise #5. And the #3 is also used to "control…

Dear Ivan, If the analysis is done correctly in full detail, considering all clashes and combination as in our Ba Zi Premium, then that kind of chart to me will be considered unbalanced. And more of a type of chart where there likely more health issues then normal. Each unbalanced element will relate to certain body part like fire is heart and brain etc. However, if it is not done properly or there are analysis missing, then it will be hard to say. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee I am My birth data Wood=0 Water=-18 Fir Ivan A. Parra

  3. Dear Anon, Wishing you best of luck in getting a job soon! Please see below:- Do make yourself at home:) If you need both networking luck and wealth luck, trying to map out a Flying star chart specific to your home. I had taken a break should I enhance the The more "politically" correct way is as mentioned to draw a specific Flying star chart for your home. Instead of enhancing north with a water feature, try your best to under Period 8 to locate the water star #8. This is suppose to be your water wealth position. Location mountain star #8. And place a solid object with mass at this location. This is to activate your networking luck. In addition if there a…

Dear Nana, Please refer to my most recent reply to a similar question on Apartment no. Looks to me like your home is a landed property. Do take note that the House Number Flying Star Feng Shui is meant for Apartments or High rise apartments. If your home is close to the ground - landed property, please do not use this report. Dear Nhan Vo, Often, the white crystals are the evaporated "white" salt crystals, that was stirred into the water. And perhaps, a little of the chemical reaction of salt with the surface of the copper coins. It is good to check the Flying star numbers at the specific sector and to check whether, one's home could `fly' into the new period 8 or not. And at the same time, if the #5 does not fly into the location for the year, then, one may not need to consider the use of this `cure'. As mentioned, in my past message(s) on this cure, one has to actively `monitor' it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Chee Wee, One has to breakdown, the type of luck into three categories: 1. Heaven Luck 2. Earth Luck 3. Human Luck What you mentioned has to do with the Human luck factors. However, in our lives, the one that `govern' or has a much (much) higher influence is our "Earth" luck. Given that we are on this earth. And the earth luck component is normally our home and environment. For Heaven Luck, most of the time, even if it is inauspicious but if we have very good Earth luck, our earth luck gives a very good buffer. Human luck e.g. wearing suitable clothings is therefore, considered a smaller component of our overall luck. Again, the key success (or highest) weightage i…

Hi i was born on June 8th 1978 and my lucky element is wood. I have absolutely 0 in my wood charts and drastically high in earth. I am a beginner at feng shui but after reading the charts for the year of the goat, it says that the misfortune star is at the southeast and the cure for that is to put 6 coins on a read string to block the negative chi. As my element is wood and the coins are metal would that be conflicting? and what other cures would be good for a high wood element person? also i would be purchasing a wind chime, as most windchimes are metal should i look for a wood one to buy? Also in my sisters house the south-east part is in the car garage, and if she puts…

Dear Anom, 1. For a novice, this may be big worry or concern. As most of us will quite rightly worry about pots or planters with soil. 2. However, if we properly consider the Five Elements concept - Destructive cycle:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-5element.htm 2.1 One will notice that in the destructive cycle, plants/trees (wood element) destroys or crushes earth element. 2.2 Here, we can imagine, the roots of the plants penetrating the soil. Thus this two auspicious cycle of wood -> destroying earth is good. 2.3 Many Feng Shui practitioners will also tell you that even artificial plants are acceptable used. This is OK. 2.4 In Flying Star Feng Shui, b…

  10. Dear Rameshwaran, In my opinion, it is not correct to say that a Strong Fire person's `lucky element' is wood. In fact, too much wood is unfavourable to a Strong Fire person. Yes, a strong fire and weak fire e.g. partners can use binding elements. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Andrew, The Eight House theory is limited and does not offer any cures to a situation. Overall, you can try to check further what influence (intangible) force is also .. at the bedroom location. Basically, if your ideal door is at East but since your main door is at West, it is only but a small puzzle in a bigger zig-saw puzzle. And since it is only a part of the puzzle, i.e. to say how suitable the house is or not.. it is thus considered secondary. Perhaps, you can see if you can further increase your Shapes and Form Feng Shui. By reading thru some of the resources on it. As often, Shapes and Form can if done correctly provide a signficant boost. Warmest Regards, Ce…

Dear Diane, In Chinese (dialect group - Cantonese) the numeral `Eight' sounds like " Fatt " which means "Prosper". This is most likely the reason why some people sell it as a string of 8 Chinese coins. For a Feng Shui cure, it is advised that the two extra coins be removed. Else the cure is not effective. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, It would be preferred or advisable to use the Chinese `i-ching coins' with square holes. This is in my opinion the preferred choice. Nowadays, there are lots of `imitation' or lots of such newly minted coins and are not that costly. The rationale why the i-ching coins are preferred is because it has a square hole at the centre. Under the Five elements concept: Earth produces metal and thus `make it stronger'. And this type of coins are proven. The rationale why the Singapore $1 coin was used as a "poorer" alternative is that it has the Ba Gua or eight sides and thus was used. Therefore, the silver coins you mentioned has so far not been proven: I am afraid,…

Dear Alexia, In regards to this personal directions, if I am not wrong you are refering to the Ba Zi Luck Pillars. Ba Zi Luck Pillars ================== If the directional elements are extremely favourable for you, then you should take advantage of it to do something you wish (ie start a business etc). Otherwise, you should enhance your personal self to reduce the inauspicious period. Simply, it also means that if south and east are good for you, you will have good fortune when travelling or working in that direction. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

  16. Started by myfs_73968,

Dear Anon, 1. In my opinion, plants/trees should be considered of the wood element. This is in-line with the " Five elements " concept where a wood element is described as a "tall narrow" object. 2. Thus, plants and trees generally fit this description of a " wood element ". 3. However, some FS practitioners (I feel) may argue that some plants / fruits grown underground e.g. carrots, tapioca, potatoes etc.. Since these fruits grow underground, I believe, these FS practitioners may then argue that they should be of or belong to the `earth' element. 4. It is felt that one of the concepts of Feng Shui is " if cannot be seen it no longer becomes a threat. " Similarly, if i…

  18. Started by elena,

Dear Elena, 1. Usually, I would apply the 33.3 percent ruleset i.e. anything that does not exceed 33.3 percent of the `floor area' may not have an effect. 2. For example, lets take the human body. The "chances" of a `cure' or enhancement taking into effect is greater if it is `larger'. Thus, we normally consider items such as the clothing worn. 3. If one is to ask a Feng Shui practitioner, I believe, so far no FS practitioner or even FS Masters or Grand Masters can precisely say how much is considered a sufficient cure. 4. Therefore, even the 33.3 percent ruleset may or may not work if we look at it this way. 5. Let's look at it from a different point of view. Symbolism …

Dear Tervino, Please see below:- 1. Under the Five Elements Concept, the idea here is that one should a balance (if possible) of all five elements. 2. Pillars of Destiny is a method used to deduce or find out the `breakdown' of the components of the Five Elements e.g. in a person. 3. In your case, you have been found to be a person with `strong wood' element. In such a situation, it is not always good to continue having `strong wood'. It has to be BALANCED. To balance strong wood, you can take advantage of METAL element. Under the destructive cycle of the Five Elements, Metal is said to destroy Wood. Since you have `strong wood', you can take advantage, by using METAL…

Dear Kwek Beng, 1. The reason for the two additional pillars House of Conception and House of Life is to give a more accurate analysis taking into account 4 more elements (x 2 stems and 2 branches). 2. The reading taking after analysing the House of Conception and House of Life should be considered instead of the `simpler' 4 pillar. Thus, you should take yourself as a weak metal. 3. Another rationale for this two extra `pillars' is because, only with these extra elements that combinations e.g. triple combinations may result if it occurs. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  21. Dear Fraser, 1. There is a difference between a Strong metal and weak metal person. For a strong metal person, your company logo can have wood in it. For a weak metal person, you may need earth to strength metal inorder to destroy wood to create wealth. 2. Usually, this applies to logos and less to company name. Assuming that you are a weak metal person, perhaps, your company name should do more with `earth' to strenghten metal instead of using wood. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Aping, 1. Where possible, it is (if you can) employ the services of a Feng Shui practitioner. This is because, there are lots of issues involved in building a good house. In general:- 1. Shapes and Form, 1.1 The frontage of the house and back of the house are important considerations. The frontage need not necessary be the location of the front door. The front door can still be at the side of the house e.g. a drive thru car porch. 1.2 The front door Where possible, the front door should suit the breadwinner and under the Eight House, should preferably not be at the death/disaster sector. The other consideration is if one can, build a house which takes advantage of t…

You can checked out the Chinese Astrology page at http://www.lovesigns.net The above link has information about your animal sign, its characteristics and compatibility with others. 2. Under Feng Shui, my advise is to take your time to digest the various `Schools' of Feng Shui such as: - The Shapes and Form School - The Compass Schools You can either purchase the `tons' of books available on Shapes and Forms or browse thru the Resource pages of this website and the forum. My advise is to take your time to find out more what Feng Shui can and cannot do and the limitations of each `School'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cheui May, 1. For the house, we have already gone thru the various `cures' to balance the specific sectors. 2. For the individual, you can add `metal' during this period. For Example, you can wear white, `gold' coloured dresses (or T shirts) to further enhance your water element. You can equally, use blue, black or shades of grey also. The above is not compulsory, but would help. 3. Overall, you should not be too concerned about your bedroom being west. The above should do. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Please see below:- Usually, the plant(s) to be closer to the main door. Where possible, (and if possible), try to have a pair (on each side) of the main door. Since, it is not a standard placement, best to remove it. Normally, a look at an analysed Flying Star chart should be able to see if there are imbalances within that sector especially, if it is an excess of wood element or it being used to `fuel' excessive Fire. Warmest Regards, Cecil
