Hello. We just moved into a new apartment. Unfortunately, the kitchen is an open kitchen in the southwest corner of the apartment, and I heard this was very bad. It is not totally enclosed either. It has a half counter that looks out onto the living room. Also, when we walk in the front door (which faces west onto a building right in front of us), we walk right into the kitchen. What can we do to remedy the situation? Thank you!

Hello. My boyfriend and I just moved into a new apartment. We are both two different directions. I am west and he is east. How can we decorate so that we live harmoniously? Also, is it bad to have our bed up against a window? We do have a solid headboard, but I wasn't sure if this was bad. Our bed is also directly across from the bathroom door, where the door swings open onto the bed? Is this bad? How can we set up the bedroom to be good for the both of us?
