On top of my fireplace, I would like to hang a big round mirror for decoration instead of a picture frame. Is this acceptable in Chinese feng shui?

I was told by older Chinese folks that one should not move house if she is expecting a baby. Why is this and what is the outcome if she's moving to another house while pregnant? Thanks.
