    Compass reading location for unit in HDB

    Hi, i stay in a corner unit in HDB. Main door face the public corridor, staying in 9th floor. As living room and dining room have windows facing out to play area, gathering area, road, other blocks etc, whereas in door facing direction, the block is not consider the facing (e.g. it is the width of rectangular block, no open windows etc). Where do i take the exact compass reading from? stand from center of unit, facing the living room window (facing direction of unit) or face the door? Or stand outside the whole blk, back in the middle of the block, facing the face direction of block? thanks!
