  1. All the flats in an HDB precint I like have their front doors facing either North or South. This is an ideal facing for East group of persons. My family members and I coincidentally belongto the West group and the best front door facing directions are NE, NW, W and SW. I like the flats in this precinct very much. Can I build a wall (inside the flat entrance) parallel to the front door and shift the wooden door inward by 90 degrees so that the front door is now facing West? I will leave the front metal gate in its orignal location. Is this method effective in making the flat auspicious for West group people. If not, is there any remedy for this limitation? Thank you for your advice!
  2. Many new HDB flats have toilets located in the centre of the house. This is very bad for fengshui. Most geomancers suggest concealing the toilet entrance with a mirror. But I find it odd to place a mirror in a pathway where doors to bedrooms are opposite the toilet entrance. If I understand correctly, the effect of bad fengshui is mitigated if we don't see it. Could we cover the outer wall of the toilet with wooden panels? One of the panel can be open to reveal the toliet door and entrance. This is more aesthetically appealing than installing a mirror in a narrow pathway. Thank you for your advice!
