    thanks for your quick reply. However you've not got the gist of my problem. I can't install a partition, the main door is on the third step of the staircase, that means once I open the door I step onto the steps to go into the house. Is there any other wayto neutralise besideshaving apartition?

    Hello, when we bought the apartment the staircase was also included thus we placed the maindoor on the third step of the stairs to gain space. Is this very bad for the fengshui and is there anyway to neutralise this effect? The staircase is made of two U shaped ( we are on 2 levels) very well lit cos there is a big window. I've read that window facing maindoor is bad for chi so I keep it closed all the time. Please advise. Grace
