Just realised I made a mistake in my renovation
Thanks for your photo! If not for your photo; this time around, my toes truly laughed and laughed until wanted to consider if I could tie them up or "bind" them like the bad old days in China.. The door handles are just like "pussy" cats or kittens! Won't hurt a fly! Oh..my cat just saw your message and Garfield is now licking his feet and his feet seems to tremble; looks more like my cat, first time has his toes laughing all the way. non-stop! The morale of the story! Laughter is contagious.. and It's PEANUTS!

It's important to know about our house's walls
This has more to do literally with commonsense. For example, majority of the time:- 1. Landed property: Most of the time, this is the clear space area or passage way area. 2. For many smaller condos; usually, this area is close to the passageway leading towards the other "organs" of the home. 3. For some condos and government housing board flats; this area is sometimes within the toilet and or toilet door area or again the passage way area. 4. Thus, commonsense would mean that most likely if any hacking; would be the "surrounding rooms e.g. making the master bedroom larger or demolishing a wall in the bedroom area for a walk-in wardrope or making the room larger or even partition it. 5. Thus, commonsense or cowsense says that 99 percent of all homes be it landed or condo or private flats; there is really nothing much at the centerpoint - other than usually fixtures. It is not like one often encounter a bedroom smack in the middle of the bedroom or other important rooms that need configuration. 6. Therefore, you are merely stating the obvious; just that maybe one just don't see it; 7. So what if one hangs a piece nail to place a picture on a wall; usually such things ain't even considered as a "renovation". 8. If one's home is a palace or white house with "wings"; then maybe; but tiny apartments or homes... is as mentioned above, often fixed. For example, if the centrepoint is at the toilet door; what renovation are you talking about? Removing the toilet door - an open concept toilet where every one else in the home can see one bathing etc... 9. For information, under the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; where: there is the "Bird or phoenix"; the tortise; the green dragon and white tiger; the center is considered as belonging to the earth element.

What does feng shui say about ...
1. Frankly, Feng Shui has nothing to say about breaking wind. 2. In the first place, Feng Shui is not a cure all or know all or everything revolves around Fung Sway. 3. Well, this is also a new record. First time ever in this forum; that someone has posted a link between Fung Sway and german gas. 4. You might be creative but seriously Qi or Chi has nothing to do with breaking wind! 5. Away from the topic of Feng Shui, seriously go examine the food that the person eats! There are lots of food that can cause "wind". Red meats and certain vegetables.. do help create more wind.

Main Door
These are some of the considerations: 1. Frankly, one has to see beyond the "bedroom corner" and the main door. 2. For example, there is a difference between (see attachment) Layout A or Layout B. 3. If your home is "Layout A"; where the bedroom door does not directly face the main door: see attachment: Markings A or A1 ; or the door bedroom door could be at the other side; then the considerations are different from that of Layout B. 4. If assuming your Layout is A; sometimes it may be a blessing in disguise if there are some openings at BLUE marking "C". Just close your eyes and imagine... if you shift your main door to the right and if one opens window(s) frequently; this is considered inauspicious especially if you don't have a partition or simply: allowing qi to flow directly from the main door out towards the back. 5. If your layout is Layout B. Then one additional complication is that if you leave your bedroom door (as shown under Marking in red B) then just imagine if the bedroom door is left open; take a look at theattached illustration: can you imagine the purple line Marking "F"(where the wall of the bedroom becomes like a "knife" slicing towards the maindoor? 6. In addition, under Layout B,one has to be careful of any openings directly facing the bedroom. Ifany of the openings e.g. in greenMarking "D" or "E" = windows opened, then qi would leak out of the home. 7. Thus, if your Layout is Layout A; then the small portion of the wall facing the main door is less of an issue. And in my opinion, can be left alone. Especially if shifting the main door would mean that there may be more window openings : especially if the windows or any other openings are always opened. 8. Under Layout B; it is more complicated as one may have to close the bedroom door; when not in use and other factors; that I had mentioned under Para 5. 9. Therefore, in my opinion, don't just look at the "smaller" picture; but think of all the repercussions that I had mentioned.

The life of a silent, unmoving windchime
These are the key essence:- 1. Yes, I have also highlighted recently in a forum message reply that under the concept of Grand Duke; "he doesn't like people to disturb, him". 2. Thus, based on the above; then, it is prudent not to place a noisy wind chime at East sector; this year. In the first place, why tempt fate by doing so? Life not exciting enough for the person? Go ahead, MAKE his day. " Just remember the Terminator's famous words " hasta la vista, baby!" 3. In the past, had met some clients with rather crazy geomancers. I recall one case, many donkey years ago; that was around thirteen years (I repeat 13 years ago); 4. This new client was not happy with me; because, unlike his geomancer; I did not even ask them to place a wind chime in their new home. I was kinda of shocked to learn that their "wonderful" geomancer had previously (in their previous home) asked the client to hang no less than 8 wind chimes.. 5. I recalled, each corner of the living room has a wind chime... the center of the home has a wind chime; the middle of the living room has the wind chime... Guess where else they were told to hang the wind chime... 6. If you can just imagine.. some geomancers make their living asking people or I call these people "Vicitims" to hang wind chimes all over! 7. You can understand that with so many wind chimes and many are closed area... how would a wind chime cling or make noise if any. Thus - hope this clarifies your question: NO, wind chime(s) need not make noise. Just looking at them... di di da da di di.. according this madness is fine enough. 8. Anyway, under some of the #5 #2 or #2 #5 combinations; based on the 81 combinations and interpretations of the Mountain and Water Stars.. some of these combination of stars has a dire warning: KEEP THE PLACE QUIET! Thus, sometimes, one may inadvertently place a wind chime at a location that needs "to be kept quiet" Get the Picture???

What element does restaurant belongs to?
Under the field of Strategic Management; please note that we can classify:- 1. Industry analysis 2. Within the Industry Thus, the industry is "restaurant" business While within the industry are the various componets or key personnels: ranging from cooks,Chefs, Sous Chef, Head Chef, Manager of Restaurant and even waiter / waitress etc... And a restaurant is suppose to GROW as well as provide Quality foodin a good ambience as well as fresh and clean environment. While looking at it from a different angle; In Singapore, is there a differencefor a customer stepping into a restaurant vssay asometimes hothawker centre?

What element does restaurant belongs to?
Just received an e-mail from someone, here goes:- " Hello, I have seen many Bazi website stating that restaurant falls under fire element. I am surprise that Geomancy.net is the only expert stating that it is wood element. May I know the reason? Thank you so much." These are the considerations:- 1. Frankly don't always follow the Jones. Much likea flockof sheeps... For example, If one sheep decides to jump down a cliff, all others simply follow the sheep in-front of them. 2. In the past, a cook is a cook. And a cook, would often man the "fire" in the kitchen. So if all otherbazi website says the same thing they must be correct right? 3. But, look, here, we are talking about a restaurant not JUST the cook that cooks say in a kitchen where there is fire. 4. A good restaurant is not just creating food. But rather, an excellent restaurant; is one that CREATES not only good food but presentable food. 5. For example, look at the French fare; a French Chef is also about presentation and making sure that he/she has created an excellent meal. 6. To create is a form of art. 7. For those who has studied Marketing; I am sure that you know the distinction between a salesman and a marketer, 8. Nowadays, many healthy food need not go thru the fire. For example, how many of us have eaten the Japanese Sushi or Sashimi? 9. Thus, if one is talking strictly about the job specifications of most cooks; then one could say that predominantly some of them are just hands on cooks. 10. While in a restaurant; a head chef often, is like a symphony conductor. If we see many of those Gordon Ramsay's shows; we will see him "shouting" out commands to his cooks and sous chief; and usually the head chef of a fine restaurant would check on the QUALITY of food getting out of the restaurant. 11. Therefore, why be surpised to learn that Geomany.net is the only one that categories "restaurant" as wood element. Don't just go for superficial thinking... 12. Again if you have studied Marketing ; it should not be equated just with sales or a salesperson type of job. But unfortunately, many still think that a restaurant is to them: without much imagintation, a place where someone spents time in a kitchen cooking - that's all. 13. A good and successful restaurant is more than just the "cooks in a kichen". 14. Thus, this is the rationale why, I classify restaurants as belonging to the wood element. 15. Ask any Chef that was awarded various Michelin stars; most of them have good skills: presentation of food; and they GROW the restaurant(s) under them. 16. Many Chefs are proud of their profession and a restaurant is just a interface where collectively, any owner of a restaurant would like their business to grow....

Two never-asked-before questions on Grand Duke
Yes, indeed, these are really two never-before-asked questions in this forum. However, the question should belong to the topic: Chinese Culture... than Fung Sway... To fine-what the lady said; usually this is the recommended timing:- Datewhen to Pray (converted to Western date) 6 Feb 2011 (4th day of Lunar New Year) best forDog sign to pray 8 Feb 2011 (6th day of Lunar New Year)best day for Rat sign to pray 13 Feb 2011 (11th day of Lunar New Year) best day for Snake sign pray 17 Feb 2011 (15th Lunar day) best day for Rooster to pray Your second question: "Secondly, if in the previous year we succumbed to Grand Duke or Tai Sui in a particular temple, we'll need to return to the same temple to pray and not change another temple or else we will be forever owing to Grand Duke. Is this true?" This is simply known as "playing-it-safe" to return to the same temple. Further to what I mentioned, just imagine, if you purchased something only Harrods of London carries. And assuming there is only one store; sure enough if you need an exchange of sorts; you may have to (usually) return back to Harrods. Most stores practise such things unless; they have other avenues which you still often must call up to confirm.. first..

How to enhance wood element in my life for career?
Frankly, as mentioned, earlier; a geomancer would often look at a typical chart. In this sample extract, just take a look at how many fields I had circles. These are some of the considerations a geomacer looks at when determing what is best for a person. There are more considerations. Even if one lacks an element; how much is the percentage etc.. etc... But just count the number of circles; and one will understand.... Therefore, that is why, I mentioned: best to go back to the geomancer who deemed ... you... need wood.... Not just a few lines of text and presto! Your woes are cured!

How to enhance wood element in my life for career?
Please go back to the geomancer who deemed that you need wood. As, a few lines of text vs analysis of or thru your chart, would yield more info.

Advice on work position
1. In my opinion, it boils down to those who are ultra conservative vs "Is there an issue, here?" sort of thing. 2. Frankly, how often have one recall a boss or fellow worker changing work directions annually. 3. In essence, these are often the same kind of Geomancers, that may even tell us: don't ever use that toilet. 4.The irony is that many such Geomancers, would most likely sit and work in the same direction, year after year! Yet, have the cheek to tell others to do something, they themselves don't apply! 5. You stay there, we don't! 6. What is not mentioned not often over-looked is the fact that if one does major renovations and or going for a major cause e.g. going to wr to fight for a cause; otherwise, if you are merrily sitting on your seat peacefully to work or even play that computer game; "Tai Sui" will just "ignore" you! Where got so free to make war with you! Think about it! 7. For me, I have sitting at the same direction "for years"... and do remember your childhood days... your bedroom and study desk! Just imagine, when you were in Primary School till Secondary School; how often you move your table if any? No rite? 8. Like the saying goes "empty vessels" make the most noise! One down for such Geomancers! who preach yet.. don't do it themselves! 9. After the Geomancer gives that advice, he/she would disappear totally! So much for their advice! However, if you feel ok with say the new direction, certainly go ahead.

Two questions of general relevance
Edwardde Bono and his "Lateral Thinking".... In my opinion, don't justfocus on theactual meaning or association of a "solid object" with mass as anythingthat has to be solid. Lateral Thinking;with symbolism... helps...it can also be a painting of a mountain etc.....

Effects of placing a fu dog in garage door
Hey! Take-a-look at a caricature, I did in 2000 i.e. 11 donkey years ago... Frankly, if nothing ever happens after placing the FU DOGs; at least, the dogs can mark their teritory! Thus the Fu dogs are... fit for the dogs!

Two questions of general relevance
These are some considerations: 1. On your first question; there is no hard or fast rule so long as it is not "concealed' or hidden from view. 2. You said: "I was thinking in lieu of some objects that I haven't thought of, can one hang up a 5kg bag of rice by placing it in a plastic bag and hanging it on the water pipes?" 2.1. Sorry, I cannot help it but...after glancing this statement, my toes kept on laughing on this 2nd Day of the Chinese New Year! 2.2. Very recently, I believe was a few months ago; this person called me to say that he had sought the help of a local lady geomancer. And he was hesitant to use her advice! The lady geomancer asked him to hang a metal hulu (bottle gourd) directly above one of his doors! 2.3. Imagine, due to commonsense; her client; dare not question her; but asked me; what happens if the metal hulu drops down? Would cause serious injuries... especially to his young and even to the elder or other family members. 3. Especially for youngsters and toddlers; their skull is not fully fused or formed; and what would be worse? 4. If this was 1935; and this was Germany; and if that lady geomancer were to have provided the advice to Adolf Hitler; and just imagine; that hulu had crashed down and "killed" his favourite dog; he would certainly have got that lady geomancer hanged with a piano string! 5. Sorry for the side-track.... erh... 6. Please note that if the mountain star falls at the back door; this is excellent!. No body has said this, but the reason why a back door is that; even if it is a mountain star; ain't it good if such qi can also come into the home. 7. Stop the ridicious or Looney Tunes idea of hanging "silly" objects on water pipe or other fittings... gravity will one day ultimately win! 7.1. Hanging things even with a piano string is "rubbish!" 8. Under symbolism; even a painting or picture of e.g. the great wall of China or a painting of a mountain, with some e.g. pine trees and tiny birds in the picture.. is fine or ok.

Effects of placing a fu dog in garage door
1. Frankly, all these figurines have more to do with or much like any other decorative items; one buy to "beautify" the home. 2. Of course; these products end up becoming associated with "in the name of Fung Sway". 3. The key ingredient or the "main course" of these products are: "IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL, GOOD! WHAT'S THE HARM? RITE?" 4. It is just like some Chinese buy a laughing buddha. And they place somewhere in their tiny apartment facing the main entrance door. When anyone steps into that home; the laughing buddha "meets and greets" with a "smile". To some of these folks; it is much like a soothing relief... 5. In Singapore; the smaller the apartment; the more "Fung Sway" items are /were place in that tiny apartment. 6. For example, in many instances; the government housing flats: especially the 1 room or 3 room flats... Walk a few paces and there is the standard altar; a few more paces; some sort of "Fung Sway" figurine... turn your head and often one sees a fish tank... and more... 7. The larger, the flat; and the better the location and type of development; these products disappear...many altogether.... 8. Thus look at the contrast! Between the "small, smaller and smallests" vs "larger, larger and prestigious location".... 9. Today's Fung Sway, has also caused; or a catalyst of some divorces; makes the moneylenders happy: banks love "roll-over credits"... etc.... Don't follow that path... please... 10. Remember: Buy something for the love of it. Not for the sake of Fung Sway! 11. When the buying STOPS; the SELLING, Can! 12. Even in a country like Silly Singapore; we are all smart enough not to be conned by swindlers.. Yet, many whole heartly endorse products in the name of Fung Sway! Do your maths; these people are swindlers... and at least in casinos; some make it big; but here, no one except the seller makes it big!

Poison/secret arrow in the house
One must understand the concept: 1. If one does not spent lots of time "exposed" to the sharp wall edges; then this is not an issue. 2. Many homes have exposed sharp wall edges and again, if you are not "there" what is the problem, here. 3. Most of concerns are at places we spent most of our time. Thus, I would be concerned if the sharp wall edge is in the bedroom and even if it is in the bedroom, it must literally cause a poison arrow. 3.1. And it is not the same as; "you feel that it is a threat"; but in many instances or in reality, it does not pose a problem to say one's bed. 4. The same is true for a ceiling beam. If one is not under a ceiling beam for 2 hours per day per year; there is no issue; here. 5. In conclusion: Is it real or imaginary? Is any physical soul "attacked" by the sharp wall edges all the time? Yes/No?

2011 Salt, and water , and coin cure
These are some considerations:- 1. Scientific or Hocus Pocus Fung Sway? 1.1. Scientific Feng Shui is about e.g. plotting a Flying Star chart to either enhance good qi or negate or neutralise bad qi. 1.2. Frankly, without drawing up the above, chart, might as well then go the route of Hocus Pocus Fung Sway. 2. Over-eating 2.1. In my opinion, placing a salt cure, here, there and everywhere is like a case of over-eating. 2.2. In the long term over-eating is unhealthy.... eat moderately... please. 3. Modern vs Ancient 3.1. In ancient times; an open jar of salt, water, copper coins is reactive... suppose to create ions... 3.2. In modern times; we now know of ions: both positive and negative. 3.3. Nowadays, there are such things as ionizers to clear the air; one of the most popular brands is from Japan = Sharp. 4. Do you know that an open top salt water cure should be placed in a well ventilated place? As the chemical reaction would give off "fumes" even if it is minute... 5. Seriously, I can't image a house full of "open top" (no covered lid) salt water cure all over....

My front door direction
Frankly, no offense, please! This is another one of those, first..... First time, ever in my life and the life of this forum that one asked this question of the resource link. Therefore, most likely; either your fingers did not do more walking (using the search feature) to find out more or.... This is precisely what you should do:- The Three-Step-Approach
