How Do I Place The Bed In This Mbr Layout?
Further illustrations of air-con placement: 1. All multi-split air-conditioner has:- 1.1. high pressure gas pipe from the compressor to the air-con unit in a room. 1.2. drainage pipe. This drainage pipe follows "gravity". Thus there is one "drop" down to a drainage area e.g. linked or in condos or landed property may be linked to the toilet drainage. 2. In the long-term, it is alwaysmore favourable to have the air-con unit placed"closest" to the compressor and a "drainage" point such as a toilet. Thus in many high rise apartments, these two are very high considerations. 3. A third consideration isthe "Obstacles" in a Bedroom Thus: Do you have a walk-in-wardrope? If so, avoid running the air-con compressor piping and drainage piping thru this area. If not, one day, especially if the drainage chokes, then one has a serious issue: as one may have to remove all or part of the build-in-wardrope just to access the air-con piping. 4. Commonsense approach to placement of air-con:- 4.1 Where is your bed-head? As mentioned, it is preferred not to have the air-con unit above one's bed-head. Not so much that it "symbolises" a beam, but rather, cold air sinks, even if one diverts the air-vents upwards or sideways... Here, in the middle of the night, one's face may feel very cold and throat, mouth and nose can become very dry. May fall sick if faced with this day in day out. 4.2 Air-con above the toilet. Please see attached illustration and comments as to why this is not too good. 4.3 Ideally, the air-con should blow sideways or even on the opposite side of the wall. If it is directly opposite side of the wall, make sure that a flat screen tv or a cabinet is not below the air-con. As if the drainage pipe clogs or if there is high humidity in the air and the air-con is turned very low e.g. below 16 degrees, than water vapour may form. And may just drip into your tv or electrical equipment. Please see attachment.

How Do I Place The Bed In This Mbr Layout?
1. It has more to do with "commonsense", thus we call it "Commonsense approach to Feng Shui".For example, having the air-con above one's bed-head position is not ideal. This is because cold air sinks. 2. And, the first thing it does is that "cold air" sinks towards our face. Thus, if we do not blow sufficient air, the whole room may not be cool. But as the cold air from the air-con sinks, it "blows" down towards the face (if the aircon is above one's bed-head).Direct air-con blowing towards one's face makes us feel uncomfortable to breathe as well as too makes our skin "red". 3. Ideally, we would like the air-con to blow sideways or away from our face (or bed) would be good. 4. It is also not so good to place the air-con above one's toilet door. As again cold air sinks. And even if we close the toilet door, there is often a gap. And usually when we turn on the air-con, again, cold air sinks and usually, blows thru this gap into the toilet. Thus, after a while, this forces the toilet to have high-pressure. And the toilet qi would start to leak out especially, once we open the toilet door, the gush of "air" from the toilet will push out of it.

Door and window dimension
1. You can always obtain a Feng Shui ruler and use the good ruler measurements. Please note that most Feng Shui ruler has two columns. You should be using the top column (measurement) as this is meant for Yang Feng Shui or for the living. 2. Except for an altar, an altar needs to be most optimum by using the auspicious measurements that coincide with both the top and bottom measurements. Reference: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-ruler.htm 3. Alternatively, you can the mulitple of 17 inches for the door. Thus, the width could be 17 inches x 2 =34 inches. And the height of the door in multiples of 17 inches x ( ) = . 4. Initial Opening of Door - Best time to go back?
As a final option, individuals who are extremely pressed for time and need to begin renovations right away can opt to perform the initial open door procedure and remove all items after waiting for one hour. This is typically the case when the client has to vacate their current residence, has just received the keys, and must start renovations immediately.
-
Initial Opening of Door - Best time to go back?
1. Please note that the main idea of the procedure(s) is to place "wealth" into the home. 2. Thus, only during the stage where one is sprinkling rice and green beans, best not to have "outsiders" walking in the home where one does this procedure. As symbolically, if one accidentially sprinkle the rice /beans into an "outsider's" shoe, then they may "bring back the wealth with them". 3. Other than the above, avoid giving away the fruits etc... it has to be either: Eaten or Thrown away - never given away. 4. Once Para 2 has been done and the rest of the first-time-open door procedure has been perfomed, you can let in any other persons or go in anytime afterwards. The third day is just - to the effect that one should not re-move the items within the three days, that's all. You can go in anytime you wish or bring anyone into the home anytime after you had completed the procedure.

In general, the devil's gate concept can be linked to the Flying Star theory. If the northeast sector exhibits predominantly "yin" Flying Star numbers, then this could raise some red flags. Otherwise, it is usually not a significant concern.
1. Typically, it is advisable to keep the garage separate from the main living space, but this decision ultimately hinges on the overall layout of the house. In certain cases, integrating the garage with the home may be unavoidable. 2. In general, the devil's gate concept can be linked to the Flying Star theory. If the northeast sector exhibits predominantly "yin" Flying Star numbers, then this could raise some red flags. Otherwise, it is usually not a significant concern. +++ In Summary " The inclusion of the garage in a home's Feng Shui considerations depends on the overall energy balance of the property. Additionally, the alignment of devil's gate with the Flying Star theory, particularly in the northeast direction, may raise concerns if the energy numbers are unfavorable." Advise on hall layout
1. Please see attachment with my comments in it. Two formats available: either: .pdf format or .png Anonymous wrote: Dear Master Cecil, Could you please advise on the planning of the hall layout as per attached: 1) The kitchen is within the line of sight of the main door entrance. I am planning to build a partition to block it. Full height or half height? 2) Is the current location of the dining table acceptable? 3) The fridge is beside the toilet wall. Should I change it with the sink? 4) The sofa is also directly in line with the entrance. Is this ok? Thanks and gratefully yours, Anon

Help! No ideal house for me!
Quote: Cally C. wrote: Thank you for your prompt response... I understand your points... As for those applying the Eight House, statistically 50-50 are either East or West Group. Thus, it is very common occurence! So no-worries 2. True Element vs 8 House
Whatever, concept one uses, the Key Success factors will still be the following:- * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept * Fix-the-Leak, First! * The Three-Step-Approach Good Feng Shui is about maximizing the "Good Feng Shui " score. Much like Doctors who say that about good and bad "fats". Make sure that you have more good fats (cholestrol) than bad ones...

My auspicious directions
This is a recent reply to the same type of question that you had just posted:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=4&mid=23630&new= 1. We have to differentiate between Yin Feng Shui and Yang Feng Shui. 2. Yin Feng Shui can be known as Feng Shui for the dead. Yang Feng Shui is Feng Shui for the living. 3. The Eight House can be applied to both Yin and Yang Feng Shui. 4. Usually in a Yin Feng Shui environment, the person is dead, immovable object. Thus, it would be good to have the person within the good sector to "defend" against external factors. Thus, it is good to have the person absorb good qi as what you have mentioned. 5. Under Yang Feng Shui, the critical difference that although both Yin and Yang persons have a nose or mouth; the Yang person is still breathing. 6. Many of us have read the importance of the "mouth" of the house. The mouth of a house is where we should tap good qi. Here, we can draw a parallel to a living person: where is your mouth? Is your nose and mouth at the back of your body and your spine is at the front? Yes/No? 7. In Yang Eight House concept, it is always good to sit with your nose/mouth facing a good direction. And in addition, one gets the best of two worlds if as I have often stated, under the Eight House, it is good to spent time at a good sector. A famous Feng Shui practitioner once mentioned to his client: that when one sits up on your bed, it is better to sit with your face (mouth and nose) facing a good direction. As we (practitioners) are serving the living not the dead in home or office Feng Shui. Unless, you want to place your mouth and nose on your back-side. Then, go for Yin Feng Shui approach. 8. In Flying Star Feng Shui, many practitioners would like to see home that has double auspicious #8's at the frontage. This would be useful in encouraging good qi into the home. And the idea is that if the qi from a certain sector is not good, some may advice "locking up the bad qi" eg. in a store room or "close the set of windows".

My auspicious directions
1. Feng Shui can be applied to both: Yin and Yang. 2. For example, Yin Feng Shui refers to Feng Shui for the "dead". Here, the Chinese belief that if one's ancestor has an auspicious burial (site), it would mean prosperity for several generations of their decendants. 3. While Yang Feng Shui refers to for you and I. 4. "Research makes the Difference". 4.1 Even within the Feng Shui community, there are different qualities of Feng Shui practitioners. Some "blindly" read up or got passed down miscommunication and apply "Yin Feng Shui" to Yang Feng Shui! 4.2 For example, in Yin Feng Shui, one should be "sitting" in an auspicious sector and could be facing an inauspicious sector. Why? Dead man cannot move and he/she does not have a breath. Thus place this dead body "sitting" at an auspicious sector or direction. 4.3 As we all know, all living persons have important organs such as the nose and mouth and eyes at out frontage or face. Thus, it would be natural that when we sit up, we should be facing our auspicious direction. 5. To this day, you have to be careful as no two practitioners are of the same calibre. And as I had mentioned, Feng Shui for the dead (Yin) is vastly different from the living (Yang). For example, the Feng Shui ruler has two levels of markings: One level is for the Living, while the other level (or measurement) is for the dead! 6. Unfortunately, some practitioners are still either ignorant or still think that when they practise Yin Feng Shui, they are also practising Yang Feng Shui for the living. This is NOT correct!

Our house faces a prayer/retreat building
1. Please note that the article is only based on general comments and statements. 2. And it does not apply only to churches. 3. In my part of the world, some temples are "clean" while others would cause concern. For example, try using a Chinese Luopan at certain temples and it maydetect some form of entity. 4. Symbolically, it is considered inauspicious to face symbols such as a cross or it's spine etc... Katrina L. wrote: I've been reading your free articles. In the link http://www.geomancy.net/resources/fst/fst-shapes-entrance.htm --- You said that a house should not face a prayer site. Our house faces a retreat house run by italian nuns. But it has high walls so we don't get to see what's going on inside the grounds and 1st floor. However, we do get to the see the 2nd floor and 3rd floor of the building. I would like to know why a house should not face a prayer site? What should we do now? 5. The distance to "whatever" counts plus, each case differs. You cannot simply read an article and put 1 + 1 and you end up with Three? 6.IT DEPENDS as no two homes are the same. It is simple to give a few lines of description (whether one gets it right or wrong) and then "demand" what to do now?

Choose a unit based on map
1. Frankly, the resolution is very poor. And furthermore, looking at the site plan is inadequate as one cannot really figure out where is the main door vs the frontage. 2. It is as good as furnishing a street-directly map of completed homes.

Condo in the West
1. In my opinion, I personally don't quite like Parc Vista as the quieter units are facing or surrounded by HDB apartments. Where it's wall on the other side in particular is the long stretch of HDB block 518. And also surrounded by Blks 518A (HDB office), 517E etc... 2. The side facing the Boon Lay Way is equally noisy.... 3. In addition, Parc Vista is an older condominium. 4. Overall, Caspian, site seems to be a better overall site. As it is not surrounded by government HDB flats. And it is equally close to the Lakeview MRT.

True Element vs 8 House
1. In my opinion, many Professional Feng Shui practitioners would consider the "Ba Zi method" i.e. as you had mentioned, as the first choice. And the Eight House as second. 2. The major considerations are:- 2.1. "A miss is as good as a mile" 2.1.1 With Ba zi e.g. determining whether one is a weak or strong earth makes alot of difference. And like the saying goes "a miss is as good as a mile". 2.1.2 For example, in a lottery "luck" senario. If this is a 4 digit draw, if you had purchased number 1991. But the prize number turns out to be 1919. You are no where close to winning the four digit prize! 2.1.3 Thus, if the ba zi is wrongly calculated, it is "worse-off". 2.1.4 Even today, amongst Feng Shui practitioners, there may be a variance of results. Usually no one is suppose to get the element wrong as this is based on the day of birth. But, again there is a vast difference between a weak earth person vs a strong earth person. In addition, there is confusion as to the place of birth. And this may even change one's birthdate from say 1 May 1970 or do we use 2 May 1970, a day later by some. 3. Under the Eight House, its calculation is straightforward. And, the concept is easier to be understood especially now that Feng Shuihas universal appeal to so many all over the world. 4.Thus, today, the Eight House is far more popular and widely applied because of the above reasoning. It is also considered the "gate-way" for those who are looking at the "mysterious" art of Feng Shui. Therefore, psycholically speaking, it is because of the ease offinding out one's 4 good & 4 bad that "personalised" Feng Shui has to thank this concept. As it is easy to explain, determine and apply. For 4 Pillars (or Ba zi), this can be very confusingfor many and may even be a turned-off. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Good morning Master, I just wonder whether the better way to find the good/bad direction-using 8 house theory or true element. For example: A person who is weak earth and Chen person. Using his true element which is weak earth then his good direction will be South - fire North East -earth South West - earth, in order to strengthen his weak earth. But using 8 house theory then his good direction will be East - wood South - fire South East - wood North - water, which will weaken his weak earth. Which way should be followed for the best result? Thank you.

Is it ok to live beside a 5 storey condo bldg
1. More importantly, usually what is mentioned in this forum is based on general comments or specific to a home and it's environment. And not all homes can be "slotted" into either abony or ivory type of situation. 2. Thus "IT DEPENDS!". 3. Usually, the home that is "configured" rebuilt "last" would hopefully gain a better advantage. 4. http://www.geomancy.net/products/po-hunting/po-hunting-faq.htm Under this link, please check-out CASE STUDY 1 - The Meyer Place Condominium. Here, in this example, the bungalow, "below" happens to have two roofs. And this apartment at 4th storey has a balcony that looks like two hands in a "receive" position. 5. For most of the articles in this forum, one cannot just read them and then super-impose the same reasoning to say your home etc... 6. In general, another larger, taller building would dwarft yours and most importanly block the qi (or simply the wind flow) to your home. And hopefully these homes or block of flats don't have "black Feng Shui" e.g. pointed roofs or angles that act as a poison arrow towards your home. 6.At this point in time, Iequally don't know...especiallywhen you ask question like should we move... etc... I really, really won't know. Thus it is best towait for the apartment to be ready. And then do a survey! 7. In the utopian world, one may even dial for help, and people like Osama Bin Laden, may assist in demolisingyour neighbour's home (full stop). But in real life, this is notthe case. 8. Usually, depending on the shape of the building, sometimes, under the Five elements concept, the home can be configured into another "element" to "destroy" or harmonise with the neighbour's home. 9. Thus, again I must emphasie, no two homes, buildings are often the same, soIT DEPENDS!. Melody V. wrote: Hi there, Right now we live in a split-level bungalow which occupies a 600 sqm rectangular lot - which is a corner lot. Our neighbor is a 400 sqm lot - which is also a corner lot. Our neighbor plans to put up a 5 storey condo unit building on his 400 sqm lot. You mentioned that it is not good for a house to be beside a building? Why is that? How do we solve this problem? We don't want to live this area. We are thinking of putting up a FOUR 3-storey townhomes beside this 5-storey building? Is that okay? We will then live in one of these 3-storey townhomes. That way, at least will not be overwhelmed by the 5-storey structure since our townhomes will be 3-storey. Please advice us as to what to do with our house and lot ONCE the 5-storey condo building is put up. Do we sell our house and lot? Do we just put up FOUR 3-storey townhomes as I've mentioned earlier? Is it really bad to live beside a building or structure that is higher than your house? Thanks so much for the help.

Commercial fake Feng Shui products
1. Please note that the term that you had used should not be called "FAKE" or geniune. BUT rather, ALL Feng Shui products should be called "MODERN Commercial Products". 2. Thus majority of Feng Shui products are modern inventions and NOT fakes! Only antiques can be called geniune or fakes. 3. Many Feng Shui products are often symbolic. Thus, things like ancient or replica I-Ching coins e.g. those round coins with square holes may be used. Thus you can't call these coins fakes, unless someone tries to sell you one and you later found out that it is fake. 4. Thus, some symbolic traditional items that are often used by Feng Shui practitioners may include:- 4.1 Hulu or bottle gourd. Here, of course, it can be as simple as a sun dried hulu costing a few dollars to hundeds of dollars. 4.2 Activating a mountain can range from simple things like smoothen sea side rocks to bricks to a purple amertyst stone etc... In Feng Shui, a piece of brick can equally work as well as say the purple amertyst stone etc.... 6. Thus, I like to emphase that using the word "Fake" is not the right word.....

flow of water in outdoor pond
1. Please note that a home can be considered as falling into any one of the 24 sectors. And there are differences in where your home frontage is (main door) etc... As ALL landed property would normally have two or three exit drainage points: and 1 or 2 are meant for wealth luck. and the 3rd exit point is usually for "Power and authority" (e.g. a politician, staying a home can weld great power or a boss / CEO). 2. Thus, all these new proper analysis. It is not like typing a few sentences and then "you get your answers immediately". http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Want_to_build_your_dream_home%3F#IS_THE_DRAINAGE_OF_MY_HOUSE_IMPORTANT.3F 3. Without the above, might as well flip a coin and it is 50-50!, please. Quote: Jon C. wrote: I have a small square pond located directly outside my main door in the garden.
