What is my lunar month & having boy or girl?
1. Feel free to use the free tools available in our website to check your ba zi information or your lunar birthdate:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports.htm 2. Recent years, someone discovered a writing in an ancient tomb with regards to interpretting whether one will have a baby boy or girl. In fact, there are many sites which had sprouted using this formula. Try to do a Search under Google or Yahoo for such sites. 3. Besides Para 2, some say the type of fruits one eat can help... etc... Good Luck!

Water feature on the right side of the door
Prominent Flower of romance can be said to "originate" froma home:- 1. Please take note ofsome of the characteristics of homes that may be affected by such activity:- 1.1. North-west sector of the home: Usually this type of home may have a missing corner at NW or NW is located at the kitchen area. And the rest usually has more to do with the male having an illicit affair. Under Flying star Feng Shui, the tell tale signs are usually the presence of #3 star at this sector. 1.2 South-West sector Again, it can be a missing corner or the arrival of #3 at that sector. 2. Having two or more stoves Having one stove at say the dry and another at the wet kitchen. And have a reflective glass backing the stove (double the reflection to becometwo stoves) 3. Water position at the right side of the house Yes, what you had mentioned:- Quote: Anonymous wrote: Need your advise. I have a water feature on my right side of the door (right when i stand in the house looking out). I saw one of your reply that says it might invite affair? Is that true? Thanks 4. wealth and career area af fire place
1. Kua numbers are often not used to analyse a sector (good or bad). 2. If possible, the best method is to apply Compass School - Flying star method in your home. 3. For example, if say the fireplace location has a #3 (Quarrels, conflicts etc). then inadvertently, "fire" as in the "fire-place fire" can help to neutralise this bad star(s). You see, some homes where there is a #3 at certain sector, some FS practitioners may recommend a fire element at that specific sector. This fire element can be in the form of a '24 hours' light or somethign red within that sector. 4. Therefore, the key success is not to apply general statements like: north = career etc.. but to do it systematically and even "scientifically" applying the recommended traditional Feng Shui tools. And not the "modern invention" of fixed template Feng Shui Anonymous wrote: Our wealth area has a fireplace. If we were to put water fountains, do we need to put them right next to the fireplace or can it be on the fireplace mantel or somewhere around the fireplace. Our career area is in the north section of the house which is a bedroom. Kua is 2. How can we enhance our career without disrupting other things

Light for Missing Corner
1. For landed property, the purpose of the light at the missing corner is like (from top view) ..."joining the dotted line(s)". Thus from top view, we can see a "stick" sticking out like a profile where if we join imaginery lines to it, it will form or "cover the missing corner". 2. It is good that if perimeter lights are turned on at night, this lamp should also be turned on. (Not for 24 hours, thou) Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hi. I read your advise to put a light in the missing corner and would like to do that. My question is : should the light be turned on 24 hours or just night time ? Also, how bright is good enough ? Thank you very much.

Updated: house near T section
1. Big Tree - right opposite the main door Stand inside the door and look directly out of it. If the tree is not directly facing any part of the door (within the doorframe) then no issue. Else as mentioned in my earlier posting; can apply the "triangle-effect" i.e. do a search under this forum for it or the other options that I had mentioned. 2. Utility pole From your rough sketch - don't seem to be a threat to the home. 3. Pool Would need to have a proper assessment done based especially on Flying Star Feng Shui. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Sorry I forgot to mention a few things in my previous post about a house near a T section. This is the updated post: We are considering buying a house. Problem is, it is nearly opposite a T section. We heard that if the road seems to go straight into the house then it's not good, but in this case it seems to go to the side walk and part of the garage. Is it also considered bad? And is there anything we can do about it? Also there is a big tree right opposite the main door. We heard that it is bad, but is there anything we can do? We are not allowed to cut down the tree by the way. Update: there is a utility (electrical) pole at one corner of the house in front of the garage, and a pool that takes almost the whole back yard. How good/bad/neutral are these?

Toilet door facing the bed
1. Frankly, the two most commonly cited cases of concern with illicit affairs are: 1.1 Having a water position to the right side of thedoor. 1.2 Having two stoves in a home 2. As the mirror, will still reflect TWO persons' logically, there is no "lamp-post" or a third party reflected in the mirror. Thus the concern is more of having a photo behind the bed with 3 persons on it. Otherwise, what you had mentioned is not commonly mentioned that reflects "affairs". More likely, the concern is of having bad dreams or nightmares! Anonymous wrote: Hi Master, Thanks for your reply. What i heard is mirror in the room facing the bed will cause 'affair' - makes it very crowded? Is there any truth to it ? Thanks

Toilet door facing the bed
1. In my opinion, this concern with "mirror" facing one's bed originated from some comments that placing a TV set directly facing one's bed was not good. 2. As some FS practitioners felt that a TV's screen is much like a mirror facing the bed. The concern was that some FS practitioners say that when we sleep, our "spirit" wonders off our bed. As soon as they (the spirit) see's itself in the mirror, it gets a "shock"! 3. We can debunk this myth. The other side of the coin is what happens if the "spirit" wants to see itself in a mirror, check out it's look before wondering off? Furthermore, many new LCD screens are of matt material and relatively no reflection at all. 4. The idea that a mirror facing us, is akin to "hot or cold" continiuum. Some of us can literally eat very hot curry or chillies, but some of us cannot do so! 5. Thus some of us can sleep like a pig with mirrors surrounding our bed. While others (maybe they are too conscious or were scared by too many concerns with mirrors) may feel very uncomfortable. 6. Do ask yourself what is your "tolerance" level? 7. Some bedrooms, have purposely installed mirrors, even in the ceiling and even on wardrope cabinets. And even toilet doors! 8. The only way to avoid reflection on a toilet door is to install opaque film on the side facing the bed. Quote: Anonymous wrote: need you advise, Understand that mirror facing the bed is not good. But what if my toilet door ( those with tampered glass in the middle one) facing the bed ? As it is rather reflective when the light is on.. it's like mirror? need advise. thanks

Seafoods industry is what element?
1. Usually for any occupation, it should be viewed under two categories: 1.1. The Industry of the business 1.2. The job function, one's job specification is into in a firm. 2. Thus any retail business usually should fall under the "fire element" i.e. Sales, marketing are generally considered a retail function or simply selling goods or services. 3. Sea food - although it can be considered as coming from the sea = water, in the context of the Five Elements, it should encompass the "earth". Thus, in very general sense, seafood is derived from (the sea) which is part of the earth. (Element = earth element) Quote: Linh D. wrote: Please give me some advices, I want to know the element of the retail seafoods business, and is a water rat person compatible for the business? The diretion of the location is facing North.

Front door facing direction
1. For a landed property, it is very straight forward to take a compass reading i.e. majority of the time it is where usually cars drive past our main entrance area. And this is where often, we drive into the home. And most of the living room / main door is (located). For landed property, just hold the luo-pan (most of the time) standing inside of the door looking outwards of the home. The luo pan has a needle and there is also "two red dots". Once the needleis properly aligned try to place the two dots in between the needle - this marking will show the north compass marking. 2. Fora condo type development, if your building as mentioned earlier has one "facing" e.g. a single block facing one direction and yours is the 2nd floor, most likely the qi coming into the home is most prevalent from the building facing. Thus (try to determine this) and if it so, then you should stand with the back of the building and facing "outwards" to take a compass reading.. usually the way to do is to stand and avoid building columns (if possible keep 1 metre distance from any column or lifts). 3. For those who are not too familiar with where is the north can reference the north using any normal compass. Once one is familar with it, then no need the compass. 4. Even if one is using a Luopan, and if one has a good compass, then it is also very good especially for those in the equator, should try to use professional compass like Sunto - balanced to Region 3. Michael K. wrote: Hello Master Lee. A friend just told me what a landed property was; so to answer you question, no I don't live on a landed property. I live in a suite on the second floor of an apartment building (kind of like a condo). Since I can't see my front door of my suite from my center location I've measured my front door facing direction with my luo pan. I did this by squaring my earth plate flush with the door, then aligning my needle with the red line in the heaven pool (point south and end of needle north between the two red dots), lastly I read the compass degree by looking at where the top Tien Sum Sap Dou (or Axis Cross) lies. In my course you mentioned using a luo pan to determine the front door facing direction but didn't explain how this was done; Is the method I used correct?

House almost at T section?
1. Thanks for the sketch. 2. The good news is that your main door or from the sketch the windows don't seem to be in-direct straight path i.e. not attached by direct sha qi of the "T" junction. 3. The only concern is the "tree" facing the main door. If the tree has a tree trunk and it seems to be slicing into the main door then the best solution is to terminate or cut-down the tree (especially if the tree is within your premises. 4. Alternatively, there are at least two neutralising situations: 4.1 Do a search for " Triangle efffect " where one can place two potted plants or grow to plants closer to the door to form an "outward" triangle. 4.2 Place a convex ba gua mirror above main door or hang a six hollow rod windchime immediately in-front of the door. Anonymous wrote: We are considering buying a house. Problem is, it is nearly opposite a T section. Front door 24 mountain direction
1. Try to do a SEARCH for recent articles on "Facing Direction" of the home. 2. Try to measure the "frontage" based on the most yang qi or "brightest qi" of the home. Majority of the time if your apartment building has a "single" face, try to check if it fits the description of most yang qi. Michael K. wrote: Hello Master Lee, I'm responding to your last reply to my post. Thank you for you patience, and I apologize for my slow learning curve. I gather from your last reply that in measuring my front door 24 mountain facing direction that I'm supposed to measure the front door of my apartment building and not the front door of my personal suite; is this correct? Thank you again, Michael

fu dogs
1. Frankly, in many instances, there is no really need to cleanse the figurines. It is like akin to "nice-to-do" and not a "must-do". 2. In addition, the key success factor is often to make sure that whatever we place at our front door if possible should be:- 2.1 well nourished - figurines... not thin or skeletonal look 2.2 It is even better if these figurines have a "happy face". It is akin to the concept of "greeted" by a happy face! Imagine many of us who rear dogs... when the owner comes back... "that kind of feeling".

Yin and Yang elements (Cont'd)
Yes, earlier, I had checked and found that for both male or female, born on your birthday (excluding time of birth) it is still the same element. With the introduction of time, usually there are two time range that can change this person's element from Strong metal to a weak metal person. And can also change the various component's of one's Five element breakdown.

House Extension
Please refer to your questions (below):- Q1 : Not found under Traditional Feng Shui. The fixed bagua template: Knowlege/Education area = a modern invention. No basis under Traditional Feng Shui models. Q2 : Generally no major concern other than if you intend to use especially colours like: BRIGHT RED, BRIGHT YELLOW or BRIGHT GREEN. Then, try to get a proper Feng Shui audit done to assess whether can or cannot use such colors. Q3 and Q4 : No too homes are the same. You may wish to consider get a Feng Shui audit done. Such as advise on where to place a fish tank. Quote: Will the extension extend our Knowledge/Education area or will we be creating missing Money/Wealth, Family/Health areas and if so, what could we do to remedy this? 2) Are there any particular flooring or building materials we should use? 3)Are there any colours we should use in our new rooms? 4) Could we have a fish tank somewhere in the new building?

2 questions about yin, yang and the elements.
1. I don't want to add to the confusion, but, if you are born on June 5th 1988 (no difference between male or female); You are considered as a : Strong Metal person. And in the attached layout plan, (Male) ; this person is strongest in Earth 48 percent; Extremely weak metal only 4 percent and weak wood 12 percent. (This can be found under the topic " Your Five Element Breakdown). Note: above refers to Male: born on June 5th 1988. Quote: Mon D. wrote: Good day, Sirs. I have a 2 questions: 1. How does one find out weather he or she is more of the yin or yang? 2. Does the month, time, day, and year you were born play a factor in determining your element? I was born in June 5th 1988, and according to research i am under the earth element. However, according to other "experts" i am wood. There seems to be a slight thing ive missed. Warmest Thanks.

Type of Ba guas
Yes, traditionally all Ba Gua mirrors were placed e.g. above a door or window to deflect sha qi. Thus, it is strongly recommended that ALL BAGUA mirrors are to be hanged facing out-of one's home. The two major rationale are: A ba gua mirror is considered "too extreme" to be placed inside a home. In the early 1980's some sites were selling ba gua mirrors or even "designer" ba gua mirrors and they were not told not to place inside the home. Secondly, from my earlier message(s), these mirrors are used for certain reasons. So imagine how to place it inside the home.

Human Luck from Children
1. Yes, what you had mentioned is true! Even today - especially the Chinese are not immune to this! Many share the same fate with regards to filia piety issues! 2. It is a "pity" that I feel that for some of us, if we could reverse the time, may consider having a large family. Here, there is a "higher" probability that one not only "hope" for at least one or some children - to look after us or we could still stay on our own but may not worry as much with day to day finances as there is a higher chance with so many children! 3. In fact, I have seen more cases of daughters providing for or being closer to their parents then sons! As you had mentioned.. most likely cannot blame having a son; as when he grows up, he has lots of mouths to feed: his home financing, family, children, both parents and parents-in-laws! Quote: Anonymous wrote: With all pressure/competitiveness exerted on our younger generation as well as when the external influences are now have more impact than what the parents can influence their children, can we still rely on this luck from the children? From the media, we have learned about all the unpleasantexperiences faced by parents from their unfilial children, this is thus thereason why I raise this doubt. Will like to know your view on this.

Type of Ba guas
Thanks for the pictures and additional information. Based on your description, your ba gua "purpose" is suppose to "ward off " bad luck (evil spirits). That's all. Many makers of ba gua, choose the Early (First Heaven) sequence ba gua. Thus as mentioned previously, it has no additional function unlike those with the concave or convex mirror. The only other thing is that long time ago, it is common to see a "greenish" looking ba gua. Nowadays, majority are "yellowish" or yours could just be a plastic facade simply showing the 8 ba gua trigrams.

Type of Ba guas
1. Frankly, it is crucial if we were to work out the formula - for Feng Shui "9 palace" or also known as Flying star Feng Shui for the interior of the home. 2. It is very common to use the First Heaven Sequence or Early sequence ba gua "mirror". 3. Under Photo Tours of Interest (with photos) in this forum website, one can find lots of photos of different types of ba gua "mirror". 4. In general, a ba gua has three major uses:- 4.1. Some use it to "ward" of evil spirits from the home 4.2 Deflect sha qi or poison arrow 4.3. To suck wealth 5. The type of mirror you had mentioned with the ba gua symbols are suppose to ward off evil. Usually this type of ba gua mirror has a "charm diagram" written behind it. This type of ba gua, often may have a "Chi ling" (qi lin) - lion type of face in the middle or combined with a mirror in the middle. Some of these ba gua's may even have a set of door guards on each side of it. 6. Type of mirrors (usually found in the middle of the ba gua) OR on it's own:- 6.1ConVEXmirrors Used to deflect sha qi or poison arrows. 6.2 Flat mirror Flat mirrors with ba gua symbols usually is meant to ward offevil spirits. 6.3 ConCAVE mirrors BECAREFUL! If your neighbour place such a mirror facing your main door, it is meant to suck wealth. Anonymous wrote: It so happens thatmy parents bought a bagua many yrs ago and now facing my main door. May I know will there be any difference in its effectiveness/functions if the bagua is a later bagua arrangement?

bathroom in center fame area
1. In the past, I had mentioned that we should adopt a holistic "examination" approach to"luck" and Feng Shui. 2. As you are aware, it is nearly impossible to re-locate the toilet. If so, we should instead try to "maximize" luck or neutralise futher issues (poison arrows) from other areas. 3. For example, if we are asked to answer say 4 questions out of ten within 2 hours time period. Thus, a good teacher will always remind the student to try to answer all four questions and set a limit of hour-an-hour per question. 4. Same, here, even if you want to crack your head over the wall for the toilet at the centrepoint issue, one is wasting one's time. 5. Some "minor" cures include: closing the toilet door when not in use and some place a mirror outside of the toilet door. In my opinion, especially the "mirror" thing is not exactly a good cure.

Sleeping Positions
1. Technically, the best directions and meanings:- 1.1 Excellent : In general it refers to the best direction especially if it is the main door facing direction. Can also be a good direction for work or study. 1.2 Prosperity: Ideally, the best facing direction for work or study. 1.3 Generally, Health and Longevity are often the best facing direction for bed-head. 2. However, as abedroom or home is quite small, often,"facing" oneof these four directions is consdiered good-enough! 3. Traditonally, it should be taken from the centrepoint of areasonablesized home. And unlessone's home is like a palace where the bedroom is as large as an ordinary apartment, we should take from the centrepoint. 4. If you want to, you can still take the reading from the middle of the bedroom - if as mentionedit is pretty large bedroom. But if your bedroom is e.g. less than 600 sq, then suggested, take reading from centrepoint of the home. Quote:Terry Y. wrote: There is this Excellent amongst other Good, Prosperity or Health Positions. Excellent meaning the best of all? Also when we determine the direction e.g. 247.5 to 292.4 Description: This is your Longevity, does this mean we take the compass reading again in the centre of the bedroom or the sector chart taken initially from the centre of the house?

Element - Plastic
1. Plastics are derived from petro-chemicals. Petro-chemicals is considered a "chemical" or fire element. But if the plastic is hardened like "poly-carbite" it can be considered as metal element. Much like glass or tempered glass is generally considered as metal - because of it's harden properties - if we consider the material. But, if platic(s) is molded or can be molded or injected into a wavy form then based on just the shape or profile, it can be considered as a water element. 2. Please note that if all these sounds confusing, but yet logical, then as the common saying goes: " An item can be all things to all differentpersons". 3. Cane furniture with metal frame In real life, "Variety is the spice of life"? Heard of this? For example, life will be sooo..soooo.. boring if everything we see, feel or touch is only strictly two tones: Ivory or Ebony (White or black). Life is a harmonious combination usually of two or more elements: Your example is something like things we never see into. For example, the ceiling or beam supporting a concrete building, much like your metal frame, the opposite, here isthat many of us are not aware that all concrete beams have steel frames wrapped to support it! Thus, it is much like your perhaps exposed frame supporting the wooden cabinets? see the resemblance? 4. Even for any job or work, although we may have a specific goal e.g. Marketing or Sales person. In this modern world of multi-skilling, he still has to perform other work functions e.g. filling in forms, photo copying, using his motor skills to drive etc... Anonymous wrote: Dear Mr Cecil Lee or Mr Robert Lee These are very short questions: 1.In relation to Plastic (which a lot of modern day items are made out of) - whichelement is plasticconsidered? 2. Also another curious thing I've been thinking about is when a furniture has 2 elements (say wood and metal) for instance which element do you count as the main one? (For instance I have three drawers made out of cane but what keeps it all together is a metal frame). Kind regards Mary Sydney, Australia

Kid's bedroom and bunk beds
1. Frankly, one should not be too unduly concerned about bunk beds, for the following reasons:- 1.1 If we sleep under a bunk bed, one will notice that it is a a large flat piece above us - usually spring and mattress. 1.2 Compare this to a real beam. A real beam is a concentrated piece, usually a supporting beam for a column or structure of a home. It is this concentred beam (usually concrete mixture with supporting steel structure) OR it could be a large wooden beam. 2. For those constantly seating or sleeping under Para 1.2 , should be concerned with. 3. Bunk beds have been around for many (many) years. And as you have mentioned Hong Kong and even in Singapore, those with "large" families and even those with small homes do get to sleep on a bunk bed. 4. More so, for those who live in domitires especially students living overseas school boarding house. Many of these students, had graduated "despite" sleeping on such beds. So what does this tell us? It cannot be that those sleeping on bunk beds, will have poor school results or worse still "distorted" brains etc.... 5. Thus, in my opinion, it should be considered as a "myth" and not a norm. I believe, bunk beds, have been around for at least more than half a century or at least 50 or more years! 6. Frankly, in Singapore, many of us serve our country's army core and all our army barrack have bunk beds. Does it mean that half or those sleeping on bunk beds... later have some .... screws loose...
