  2. The inspiration for the 1980's army uniform design (from this tree bark): USA and then Singapore follow suit...
  3. Spacious lobby. A unit's resident even have a cupboard full of Japanese books... outside their unit
  4. These unit's main door even during the day-time is dim. Thus, from a Feng Shui point of view; should not be considered the frontage at all.
  5. The next best? Go buy a pizza named after the Godfather
  6. The owner must be a business person. Thus before they move in to a new home; here goes.. the house number is covered in a red cloth...
  7. Although the concept is acceptable in Feng Shui; but the implementation and on a HDB door is "hideous" looking...
  8. So long as it looks like a wall even if it is a partition board; this is fine or OK. In fact, nowadays, many new condo and EC units also use such a partition wall. So long as no one sleeps or bed-head next to the orange wall is fine or ok. Between the green or the "original" orange partition wall; in my opinion, the orange wall is still a better choice than the green side.
  9. 1. Still possible to be a B. As nowadays TV sets are thin. 2. Best to use a standard altar or if not; most important the table top is 126cm or 49 3/4 inches is ideal
  10. This has more to do with common sense (first). In the remote sense that especially if the sewerage pipe leaks; hopefully it does not drip on someone going thru the back door. From my personal past experience; many older homes that are considered Feng Shui safe also have a similar situation where the toilet is just above the middle of the back yard area. But often, the back door, though is not directly below this toilet. The backdoor is somehow to one side of the back yard area. Thus this may be different from what you had described. If one knows how to plot the Flying Star numbers; then determine what are the flying star numbers at this back door area. Thus usually after analysing the flying stars then one can make a better judgement call to say whether the back door should be moved or not.
  11. Usually, the Flying Star number(s) of a sector is analysed. However, if this is not done; then try to go for neutral colours like beige (cream),grey orbrown or mostly pastel colours. For bright colours like RED, BRIGHT YELLOW or GREEN; if not sure try to stay clear of these - if possible.
  12. The Criterion .. work in progress
  13. Some photos of Skies Miltonia @ Yishun. A reflection pool...
  14. In my opinion, no one has ever done so. Do take extra care when using an ordinary compass. As often, there are lots of "hidden" re-bar that can cause the compass readings on such a compass to deviate by alot. Often, try to stand on a grass area (but then again) and take several readings (if possible). Sometimes even grass patches have metal embedded below it thus again may cause the readings to deviate.
  15. Frankly, if one has close relationship with one's brother and sister; then; in my opinion there is no "ill" attached to such gifts even it is during the CNY period. In fact, it is also good for the enviroment; ie. active recycling. Often, many parents would be very glad especially to get hand-me downs especially for their growing children from relatives, cousins and even friends. Under this category; some parents appreciate this very much as often their growing child grows fast and cannot wear them anymore. Furthermore, many feel that such clothings are even more comfortable to wear etc... Thus rather than be concerned; some of us wish we have such a brother and sister.. and may consider you fortunate...
  16. Please see attachment: 1. Often, if the wall at marking "A" is extended e.g. as highlighted in yellow; and if there is no stove behind this; then "A" is often the preferred location over "B". 2. There is really limited space in such a layout plan. 2.1 Thus, often as you have highlighted marking "B" is the next better choice or last resort. 2.2 The reason why marking A is preferred is because:- 2.2.1 The altar is further away from the two bedrooms. Thus if one lights up joss sticks for many hours and if someone is in either of the bedrooms; there is a higher chance of getting lung cancer. 2.2.2 Although at marking "A"; still possible, thou. But at least it is further way from the bedrooms. If one is in the living room; then frankly it does not matter where the altar is: if it is lighted up most of the time. 2.2.3 Although it is common to walk in to see an altar; especially in a temple; some could consider that by doing so; the altar e.g. Guan Yin now becomes like a "condo" guard... seeing who's coming into the home. This is still not a major issue. Given that many homes does this sort of thing. 3. Thus, in general, marking "A" is a first choice if there is a solid wall behind the altar. From your diagram; looks like the wall is too short unless one uses only a 2 ft by 2ft altar and not one that is 35" or greater in width.
  17. Eight Riversuites @ Whampoa East has just TOP. The blocks/stacks either face Flying Stars NE2 or SW2..
  18. Reference: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=43&mid=34639&new=%20?iframe=true So sorry, the above review did not include block 150. As I was concerned more with the majority of the blocks / stacks and that under Flying Star Feng Shui; these blocks / stacks are "borderline" cases. And frankly, need to be on-site (at the appropriate time) to confirm their Flying Star facing directions. In general, for blk 150; stacks facing the swimming pool or facing either blocks 154 and 156 should be more suitable to an East group person.
  19. Frankly, there is no hard-coded rule for this. In my opinion, there were many or lots of instances where the day is not auspicious for that partner e.g. hubby. The hubby could come in an hour later on the same day. Alternatively, there were instances where this same hubby comes in only after the full procedure has been carried out by his wife.
  20. Using an ordinary compass:- 1. Make sure that when taking a reading; often the best is to go to an empty plot of land or grass area or outside of the home to take a reading. 1.1. This is because there are reinforced bars embedded within the concrete structures of the home both in the walls and on the floors that may cause fluctuations in compass readings. 1.2. Even on an empty plot of land such as grass area, do be careful of embedded metal pieces such as sewerage pipes that may cause the compass needle to sway. 2. The easiest is to buy a protractor and use any street directory maps to find the directions. One good source is onemap.sg which uses govt. data survey maps. 3. See sample illustrations.
  21. So sorry, this is beyond this forum. As lots of time and effort needs to determine, plot, review If Feng Shui is to be applied correctly, one has to plot the Flying Stars and try to either disarm the bad stars or enhance the sectors. For lawsuits: if one can determine correctly the bad flying star number(s) especially: #3, one can use or place a 24 hours light at that specific sector to disarm it. Thus if there are any imbalances in your home; the Flying stars are often used. Your personal kua number: has more to do with how suitable the home; namely your best directions.
  22. In my opinion, repairing the toilet, entrance of garage may not or rather so easily change to Period 8. If your home is a landed property and not a condominium; often it may require major renovations. And one of most common methods of changing to a new period is the removal of the roofing for major A & A works Such works may include replacing the windows/doors etc... On the ultra conservative side; some geomancers may even say that so long as if the foundations are not demolished; the home may not change period. But this is an extreme view. In Singapore, there are many homes that try to avoid having the requirement of building an expensive bomb or household shelter. Thus, their Additions & Alterations (A & A) skipped touching the foundations; but the whole house has been gutted, including the roofing. In such cases, it is in my opinion, one sure way to change to a new Period.
  23. Thanks for your photos. This aspect of Feng Shui has more to do with common sense and privacy then Feng Shui. One way mirror can be highly reflective. And depends on various considerations:- 1.It is acceptable to placesuch a mirror for privacy. 2.But if the mirror is highly reflective especially at the outside; and if your home is a SW; thus there is bound to be some afternoon sun;do consider the afternoon sun rays andthe reflective properties of glass. 2.1. Common sense: It might not get approval from your Managing Agent. 2.2. At night, when one turns on light in say the kitchen; this one-way mirror may not"work" anymore... 3. Under Feng Shui, geomancers will have to determine if the sector the mirror is in has auspicious or inauspicious star numbers. Ifit is auspicious; it is said to bounce twice the good luck if not, it is a double edge sword.
  24. Feng Shui like many other disciplines; have a macro and micro view. The macro scope can be:- 1. The Landscape 2. The site 3. The building or the home. Thus more often, the above three are equally important as the interior of a home. Therefore, Feng Shui cannot live in isolation without the surroundings. 4. The home interior:- 4.1. When planning a home, Feng Shui is looked at in it's entirety. 4.2. What you are looking at or consider looking at is MICRO-Feng Shui of say one or two rooms. Feng Shui can do so.
