Longevity and the chinese people
Chop sticks vs the Western Fork and Spoon Chop sticks force one to take small portions of food into the mouth... this is the mother of all secret weapon of "eating less"... Dear cecil, Since chinese people give so much importance to health and longevity and live to a ripe old age. Does that mean there is lack of deadly diseases among chinese people. Thanks.

roof connection
One has to be careful of the compass marking. As sometimes a sector may straddle between two sectors. In general, it looks more like a protusion. If so, look up at the chart I provided earlier.

House Address seems to be bad
If you are looking at How suitable the house is to e.g. the breadwinner; it has nothing what so ever to do with number of a house. However, other Feng Shui concepts apply e.g. Eight House (Four good/bad directions) : How suitable is the house to the breadwinner etc... etc.... You wrote: Is it bad luck to stay there? Please advice. It is advisable that you READ THIS: Feng Shui Triage

House Address seems to be bad
These are some considerations:- 1. Under Feng Shui, there is only one type or one kind or one situation where "house numbers" can be analysed. 1.1. And analysis under Flying Star Feng Shui can be done ONLY for apartments:- http://www.geomancy.net/reports/reports-list/hselist-house-number-report.htm 2. Other than the above; there are no other formulas in Feng Shui to analyse a house number. 3. What you mentioned, is either based on phonetic sounding and other forms of Numerology. 4. For example, the Cantonese dialect group don't like " 1 4 " as it sounds like Sure to Die. 4.1 Thus often, many Chinese especially in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore shun houses with a 14 in it. Thus, this may inadvertenly affect the RESALE value of the lot. 5. "One man's meat is another man's poison". 5.1. Look at it this way; there are so many methods and formulas of Numerology. Even in Chinese Numerology, there are methods by stroke of number and many methods. 5.2. Since there are so many or rather various formulas; it is similar to a flip of a coin : Heads or tails or 50/50 percent. 5.3. If you really on Numerology, statistically, some formulas or methods may show "favourable" while others may say that the number(s) may be negative. 6. Thus, I have mentioned that in Flying Star Feng Shui, there can be only one method: and it applies only to apartments. As based on this "vertical" Flying Stars; an apartment at 3rd level may not have the same qi as another apartment at 5th or even 8th storey's high.

PES outside some units @ Meadows @ Peirce
There is suppose to be a premium for pool-side view. But what a pity, the "lousy" architect of Meadows @ Pierce decided to place three air-con compressors blowing towards the pool for each of the stacks and for each floor. Thus, imagine, if many residents in each level of each stack start to turn on their air-con; noise pollution and hot-air will be blowing towards the pool as well as into their own and neighbour's unit. I believe, this is a first for you and me! This "stinks!"

Family with diffrent element
These are some considerations: 1. If you are referring to ba zi element such as Strong water and not strong water + tiger or weak fire and not weak fire + horse; 1.1 If you are referring to purely one's ba zi : weak or strong, then based purely on bazi as you are a weak fire person, naturally, strong water is not beneficial to you. 1.2. However, it is a different story for a strong water person. As fire element is considered favourable to the strong water person. 2. Thus purely from a ba zi stand-point and in theory, she has more to gain than you. 3. But if you are mixing Chinese astrology e.g. http://www.lovesigns.net/horoscope/ayear/a60-80.htm 31 Jan 1976 to 17 Feb 1977 Fire-Dragon 18 Feb 1977 to 6 Feb 1978 Fire-Snake And somewhere, you add strong to e.g. Strong Fire-dragon etc... as in your write up you added a + tiger ; then if you are applying Chinese astrology and what not... and not ba zi ; then it is something else.... As pure ba zi only looks at e.g. weak fire. And not weak fire HORSE-thing.

roof connection
1. The significance of either protusions or missing corner(s) can be found under this old (resource) link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/resources/fst/fst-shapes-building.htm 2. Most likely the proposed Amah's house should often be considered a protusion unless otherwise (from a real photo or layout). 3. Please take note that not all protrusions are "evil". 1. North : Can easily make friends. 2. North-East : Enjoys doing Research and Development work. 3. East : Dare take calcualted risks and is rather impatient. 4. South-East : Needs to work real hard. 5. South : Will enjoy good reputation. 6. South-West : Male members living in the house will be lazy while Females will be active. 7. West : One happy family. 8. North-West : Occupants likes a competitive environment.

roof connection
Please see below:- You wrote: Will the amah quarter become part of the main house or it is separate as it does not share the same roof (also different type)? Frankly, this can range from being "a mountain out of a mole hill" i.e. no major concern to some concern. However, it is difficult to visualise from, here. Most likely, it may be impractical to have the amah house as an "island". As often, if the roof or walk way is shallow, concern for splashes of rain. And without a joining walkway to link the main main house to the amah house, this may be a "rain" problem. As I mentioned, sometimes it can be a "non-issue" or alternatively this protusion.. You wrote: Shall I leave a small gap in between so that they are not connected if it change the fengshui (like natal chart) of my house? In my opinion, most likely not to affect the natal chart (Flying Star of the home)

Altar Location for my new apartment
Please refer to attachment. 1. In my opinion consideration various factors like fan coil unit etc.... 1.1. So far the best choice is marking "A". Provided the Sound system speakers or Hi Fi or TV is not next to the altar. (Next often means best to give around 1 metre distance from such sources. As it is "in-polite" to have the speakers barring away music or sound next to the altar. 1.2. Other "last resort choices include" marking B or C. But, make sure that there is no direct sun-light that shines towards the altar. Or again, the sound system, hi fi or TV is not ext to the altar. 1.3. Never place the altar anywhere along zone marking "X" as this wall is sharing the same wall as the toilet. 1.4. Never place the altar directly below the FCU. Thus if the FCU is not in the way, and there is no open window between the sink and the outer-wall; again the last (last) resort may / could be marking "Y". However, if altar is at this location, it is crucial that the height of the altar table top must be at 49 3/4 inches (plus minus) if it is facing the dining table. 1.5. Avoid placing altar at marking "Z".

To take this bicycle, it is actually more efficient to cut through the entire railing rather than to individually remove the various (numerous) locks.

Sent my car where?
When a car stalled and cannot start; where do we sent the car to? [A.] Car accessories shop to change the stereo system [B.] Car workshop to have the problem diagnosed and fixed [C.] Pray hard for a miracle cure Would you believe; however, some choose [A.], instead. I recently built a studio in my back garden
Feng Shui is also about common sense. Often, there is no perfection in Feng Shui. Most of the concepts should be considered as "NICE-to" and not a "MUST-have" Reference: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=29&mid=26329&new=

I recently built a studio in my back garden
These are some considerations: 1. It is a plus point under Flying Star Feng Shui to spent time at a good sector. 2. Especially if the sector has double #8's this is considered a very good sector if one spents time or doing activity as what you enjoy best. 3. In fact, Para 2, will place one in good stead based on Flying Star Feng Shui. 4. However, the other portion where you wrote to face North is SECONDARY. 4.1. What it means is that of course it is nice to face WEST or Westerly directions for you. But, this should be considered as "NICE-to" and not a must. 4.2. This brings to another key ingredient: "SHAPES DETERMINE THE FORMS AND THE FORMS DETERMINE THE STARS". 5. Here, one critical aspect under Shapes and Forms is the lighting or glare or rather prolonged glare. 5.1. In you situation, already the plus point is that the sector has double #8's. 5.2. Based on Shapes and Forms, the key ingredient is comfort e.g. comfort for the eyes. No point forcing one to face the glare e.g. a west group person may be 'forced" to face glare from the afternoon sun. 5.3. Facing prolonged glare is bad for productivity the eyes and health (some may get frequent headache). 6. Thus in my opinion, based on common sense, face away from the sun. Therefore, North facing even for a West group person is in my opinion fine with me. In fact, this is encouraged if the light comes from the "back" then from one's front (eyes). 7. It is the same concept in Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. And in the past, I mentioned, for west group persons, don't force yourself studying or working facing west. As often, if one's work area is close to the windows and if the windows don't have uv-protection, some races are more prone to skin cancer of sorts.

Brass/Copper/Bronze Pi Yao
Feng Shui Emporium & Stores will try to sell you anything in the NAME of Fung Sway! In this instance, they could become rather imaginative and sell the Pi Yao based on RACE classification. Since us Chinese have YELLOW skin, guess what colour of Pi Yao should we purchase? Of course those yellowish as in Copper Pi Yao's. For Chinese who suntan alot; then recommended to purchase the slightly tan look Pi Yao i.e. the Bronze ones.... If you are endowed with grey hair, then even the Silver Pi yao is suitable. Got it, get it? When the buying stops, the selling can! In my opinion, since all theses are modern commercial products in the name of Fung Sway, it really don't make any difference. However, some sellers would make you believe the importance of such products may use the strategy of "wow" by asking you or finding out your personal element. Thus to "wow" you in it's authencity; some of these sellers may say that since you are a weak wood person, and if the jade is green, it represents the wood element. For example if you are a weak water person, the same joker salesperson would recommend that the metal (brass) one is better. All in the name of cock and bull Fung Sway. And certainly not real Feng Shui. On 6/2/2012 2:07:24 AM, John Do wrote: Is there a difference between these Pi Yao? I was told to get a pair of copper Pi Yao. I can only find bass and jade Pi Yao. Does it matter what they are made out of? Thank You.Thank You!

What element am I?
The hour of one's birth will affect a person's "House of Life" or simply: good life or bad or average.

Pregnant and Relocating to KL
These are TWO major considerations: A. Chinese customs and beliefs. B. Feng Shui 1. Under Chinese customs and beliefs: never move the current "marital" bed while pregnant or usually before one month after the 1st lunar month of giving birth. 2. However, if you no longer enter into that bedroom e.g. fly off to KL and never step foot back to your existing marital bed. 2.1 Then, after you had left the home, so long as you don't go back to see the bedroom with that bed; it is still considered acceptable. 2.2 Thus, if you completely left the bedroom; whatever is done to the existing bed is often considered a non-issue. 3. This is equally common. For example, often, a family stays with e.g. their in-laws. And when their home is ready; and wife pregnant, often, they would purchase a new bed for their new home. 3.1. Here, once the bed has been set properly, when she (wife) sleeps on that new bed; it is nice-not to move the (new) bed for whatever reason. 4. You mentioned Feng Shui. Like any other Feng Shui audits, it has to do with things like Flying Stars and concern of #5 misfortune / sickness and /or #2 sickness etc.... So this Feng Shui thing is a totally different area from Chinese customs and beliefs.

Spotted... Using creative imagination....
To many of us, this sign reminds us of a chopper bicycle (handle) or simply a bicycle. However, this person is rather creative and came up with another meaning for this signage! Like the most recent By-Elections. Where the opposition (Workers Party) mentioned that unfortunately, today's Men-In-White only knows: White or Black. But they (WP wears BLUE!) Erh.. MIW... you should ponder over this.... Cheers!

Bad luck in business
1. Drawing a parallel with the Titanic which sank. 1.1. Titanic had been designed to stay afloat with FOUR flooded compartments but not more. 1.2. When Titanic had a glancing blow with an iceberg; this buckled her right side = starboard. This caused a total of five out of her sixteen compartments to be flooded. 2. Often each home also can withstand a certain number of "flooding" of her compartments. Often, if there are around 3 rooms that have flooded; this home similar to the titanic will inevitable sink. 3. Thus all the material things that one try to enhance this home will literally sink with the home! 4. The main situation is to try to identify and fix as many (major) leaks as possible before it is too late! When the buying STOPS!, the selling CAN!

About my bedroom
As mentioned, previously in general: Based purely on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, the current bed-head position is still acceptable. Many master bedrooms do have attached bathroom. And many instances where the bed is "beside" the toilet. This is as mentioned, quite common. Again based on Shapes and Forms, there are others who do place the bed at the computer place. Again, still valid.

House Facing
In my opinion, you have to DIY. No point providing raw data: someone has to take much time to digest, prepare and analyse. Frankly, you have to DIY.

Ba Zi Luck period's score
One advice is that what you mentioned is based on a broad overall 10 year luck period. What one should instead look at that year. For example in 2012, one can look up the luck period for say the 1st 6th months and the last six months. See attachment.
