  1. There are further clarifications: 1. The important saying: THE FORMS DETERMINE THE STARS, THE STARS DETERMINE THE FATE OF THE PEOPLE LIVING IN A HOME. 2. If one understands the above, PROPERLY; 2.1. One will realise that often or majority of the time; clear-space; bright-hall effect is fundamental as this SHAPES the FORMS of a place. 2.2. Thus, even if one is not into Feng Shui, how often we see a skyscaper or building and often it is either clear-space and/or there is a water fountain or feature at the frontage of the building. 3. This is thecorrectfundamentals. 4. What you are trying to do is use the stars to determine the FORMS!. Which, is if you read Para 1 carefully is a total reverse of the (correct) situation! 5. More likely, one who allows clear-space or water at the frontage (water means that nothing can be stacked above it!) most of the time; this is correct vs the oddity of building a solid wall at the frontage. 6. I can understand, if you are worried that a bomber may drive a van to the front of the building and perhaps; the wall is there to "contain" the blast? What logic is this?
  2. The saying goes: "Too little knowledge is a dangerous thing". Majority of the time: "If it is ain't broken don't fix it". In addition, an opening especially the front of the home should have a "bright hall effect" or Ming Tang. Often, thissuperseeds the ridiculous wall that you intend to smack it at the main door area . Frankly, no offence? Is this for real?"building a wall at the main door?". Mathematically, if we take an example: " 99.9 percent of the time; it is much better to have clear space at the frontage irregardless of the ridiculous idea of building a wall (mountain?). Let's say on 00.1 percent chance that it is good.... I sincerely hope that you did not recently go and watch this show: "One flew over the cuckoo's nest and then suddenly woke up and decided to pen the idea of building a wall at the main entrance? Again, is this for REAL?
  3. What you mentioned reminds me of this: "The Ground Is Best Fertilized By Those Who Dwell On It".... Other sayings are: "A photo tells a thousand words... all text... means nothing".....
  4. Your question is very similar to this:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=1&mid=31267&new= Hospitals and Doctors need the result of a triage. Cars that has problems (e.g. error codes) or fall sick also needs to be plugged in and a triage done. Today, if Jesus was suppose to be driving a people's car such as a Volkswagen VW; and if the car fail to start; he (Jesus) won't know the problem. He will have to approach "his mechanic" and ask for the above troubleshooting.... Even Moses and the ten commandments on tablets; may have to approach Steve Jobs upstairs to plea with him to have the ten commandment tablets be CONVERTED into IPAD 1, 2 and IPAD visuals! >Pls advice how to remedy with such house number. thank u So, tell me, how to remedy with such house number if all things are an unknown? This saying: God, help those that HELP themselves.
  5. Just imagine the road "slicing" towards the development. Thus, it is still better to avoid selecting units closest to the main road. Of course, factors like type of trees and distance from the road are other considerations. The most important consideration is cars entering the development. And always, the specific stack facing the entrance often has poor Feng Shui. Recently, I was looking at various developments and e.g. the BoatHouse, there is one stack at or next to the entrance : the ground unit with PES was still available (unsold - yet). Personally, this development reminds me of Meadows@Peirce; where personally, the entrance for this development is along the major Upper Thomson Road;where there may be a danger of accident be it when one enters the development or (hurriedly) to exit the premises. In fact, (this is not Feng Shui) I dread going to Laurel de Suites (in the future) with the same issue as the above development but worse is the curve and bus .... etc....
  6. Further to what I had mentioned; in most industries a triage is important. In many instances; I mentioned A & E; where the french word Triage originated. For all modern vehicles; there is an ODB port; often located near to the dasboard. When a vehicles goes for servicing or troubleshooting; don't the Service engineer plug in and connect a laptop; to check for error codes? Without such a Triage how to determine exact problem?
  7. 1. Please note that Feng Shui is a holistic approach. 2. I always mention : IT DEPENDs. 3. And the key essence is : TRIAGE, please. 4. Only after a triage one can guage: the overall situation.
  8. These are some considerations: 1. Just be careful of the "curved road = Jln Anak Bukit where the main entrance is. (I remembered sometime back, when the overhead bridge had just been completed, MacDonald's HQ located directly at the curve (@ Kings Albert....) had Feng Shui issues and I had to go down to help redress the situation. 2. My illustration is not to scale nor accurate. Do be careful of stacks (if any) facing Jln Bangket (if any). 3. And more see illustrations... 4. Most stacks either face Flying Star NE2 50 degrees or SW2 230 degrees. From a Flying Star Feng Shui; upto 2023, Best stacks are SW2 especially limited stacks facing the pool side. 5. How I wish, the entrance is located at the Rifle Range Road instead of at the "hazardous" Jln Anak Bukit....
  9. In my opinion, this has more to do with the "human factor" : feel. Since the septic tank is outside; and should it be a distraction to you; then often a simple day curtain or a roller blind could be used, here. Personally, I feel that if one is really into meditation; I would have thought that a good meditation is one where even in the middle of the highway island; one would still be at peace and still do productive meditation.

The outspoken single woman is founder of Preserve Virginity, a website dedicated to promoting virginity before marriage in China. Her list of six qualities for an ideal husband had been drawn up for an ad that she had later posted online, drawing flak from Chinese netizens. Some have also dismissed her ad as a publicity stunt. Her ad reads: "Marriage Hunting: I?m 38 years old, master?s degree, virgin. Now looking for a life partner nation wide: 1. Honest and upright, Party members preferred. 2. Has an honest job, no previous marriage, civil servants preferred. 3. Under the age of 40, master?s degree or higher. 4. No sexual contact before getting married. 5. No sex life during the first 3 years of marriage as probation, only after probation can there be husband & wife thing. 6. Virgins are preferred. No exceptions for terms 1-5, any interested men please leave a comment." STOMPer lightning shared: "Is this woman for real? Or is this just a publicity stunt? "With requirements like that, it is going to be almost impossible for her to find a husband. "Furthermore, I think the 'no sex for the first three years of marriage' requirement is not something that many men are going to be agreeable with!" 11. Let's say two persons lost their Handphone. Who is most likely to get their phone returned? While whose phone would be lost forever? IPHONE 4S or NOKIA LUMIA 800? Most likely, the finder of the Nokia Lumia 800 finds it so cumbersome that they literally returned it to the owner.... while as for the iphone 4S? It's history!
  12. Don't show this or tell it to your wife! If not, you will not be allowed to sleep in the master bedroom for some time!
  13. These are some considerations: 1. Yes, in a broad sense, one MAY not go wrong when choosing a Mandarin name UNLESS:- 1.1. One also wants to literally convert or have an identical name in Mandarin. 1.2. Here, some English name(s) when pronounced or translated or phonetic-sound-like some inauspicious Chinese name. 1.3. For example, sometimes names with "flowers" may turned out to be a name associated with a Prostitute den in Mandarin. 2. Otherwise, if you never going to convert or translated your name into Mandarin, then there is no chance that you may get this wrong. 3. Please see attachment. All my brothers, sisters and cousins belonging to the same generation are defined with one character that distincts us from other generations. 3.1 The character HAN was chosen as my generation's "marker" much like a DNA marker, traditionally, do such things. 3.2. While our Surname will "never change" as it is always the first character; in this case: the Surname " Li " or in dialect terms it is called LEE. 4. If you look carefully, in the attachment, the centre character of HAN is "written" in long-form or Big Five characters. 5. When selecting a name, the long-form or Big Five characters are used to analyse a name. Not the short-form that is used now in China and Singapore. Taiwan still retains the Big-five. 6. No my Christian name is not chosen based Chinese name selection principles. More towards personal preference.
  14. PLEASE READ THIS LATEST RESOURCE An In-depth understanding of the Frontage of a home. Is it always the main door? Who are the Conservatives & the Modernist. What lead to the Conservatives use of the Main Door only? 1. Who are the Conservatives and the Modernists? 2. An in-depth understanding of why the Conservatives has misunderstood the knowledge passed down by the ancients. CLICK THIS LINK:- For High Rise Compass Reading should be taken from the living room looking out of it. For eg. towards the living room windows or its balcony (if applicable) [ADDED ON 4 NOVEMBER 2023] ******* OLDER RESOURCES ******** What you wrote: What is a facing direction for a high rise ? A1,A2,A3, etc. or other ? For example, is a North facing apartment one based on: A. where the most "yang energy" from outside is coming into the home from the North ? If based on "yang energy", what does this really mean ? Is the facing direction therefore: 1. from the front door because this is where the traffic flow into and out of the apartment is highest ? 2. from where the most natural light comes in (but what if the curtains were mostly closed because neighbours look in ?) ? 3. from where most outside activity takes place such as the side of the home closest to a main road with cars going by, and people way down below in the street, and more noise coming in ? 4. from the balcony if people living in the home are always going in and out of the balcony ? 5. from the side of the home where there is a view of the sea, lake or harbour ? 6. from the side of the home where there is a view of a mountain ? 7. from where you would stand in the apartment and take a photo, the picture you take is the facing direction coming toward the camera ? 8. all of the above if they are present; But if so, how do we weight them, or how do we rank them, for example, how do we compare the yang energy from a front door versus another side of the home with window views of a wide sweeping landscape of the outside ? 9. none of the above ? 10. something else ? Can be summed up in one simple illustration. Please see attachment. What you wrote is alot of academic exercise. No offence, I didn't even read thru the whole thing.
  15. These are some considerations: 1. What is the purpose of selecting the facing direction for a home? Is this a must DO thing? 1.1. One must understand that the MAIN reason for selecting the facing direction is for the purpose of APPLYING Flying Star Feng Shui "correctly". 1.2. Qi or Chi flow. This is where as you also had mentioned, many geomancers would agree that the most yang qi is always the location often where the most "openings" MAY BE located. 2. Why look at the openings? 2.1. Again this is about finding where the majority of the time; qi can flow into a home or apartment. If so, a properly plotted Flying Star chart can be used both to:- 2.1.1. Enhance qi and/or 2.1.2. To understand bad qi areas and if possible disarm bad sectors. 3. Ultra Conservative Geomancers 3.1. Many conservative or highly ultra conservative types of Geomancers will arm themselves with a comforter or suck on a baby teet. 3.2. These Geomancers will bring out or try to bring out ancient teachings that say that the only correct way is to take a reading e.g. standing inside the main door and looking outwards. 3.3. These hard-core Geomancers literally will quote off from their rigid masters who often learn Feng Shui the same way. 3.4. These hard-core group would lead one to belief that anything else is false or wrong. But these group did not realise that in ancient times, there weren't any high rise development. 4. As most of us know, even for an apartment, sometimes the architect would design the main door of an apartment around a block of flats/apartment. 4.1. Thus, for a layout plan, the main door can be anywhere attached to the block / walkway depending on how the block is designed. 5. Well, the best way is to imagine this: 5.1. For most landed properties the frontage is where: you drive up into say your landed property's gate and into your private car-park. This is often the frontage of the home. 6. For any apartment, again; just imagine, even if the apartment is sky-high be it first level or 9th storey or 44 storey, just imagine if this apartment is at ground level; how does a car drive up to the home (apartment). And how do you think the main door is located? This should often be the frontage of the apartment. 7. In Singapore, majority of the time, I often been to many condos and often, the owner's slam-shut their doors. This is especially so for many condo units where they simply do not install a personal grille gate right outside of their main entrance. If so, this cannot be the frontage of the apartment. While for a HDB flat, sometimes, this MAY be the frontage of the apartment. 8. Singaporeans are considered Kiasu. (Scared to Die). Thus, if you are mapping or personally ploting your home Flying Star Chart and not sure where is the facing direction, some geomancers say: plot a few Flying Star charts. 9. As I mentioned previously, many experienced Geomancers when looking at the Feng Shui and trying to plot a Flying Star chart would often observe (an existing home) to see where are the likely openings. This is often the chief basis for them to try to find the best frontage to plot the flying star as the foundation to work on a Feng Shui audit. 10. For ranking, there are lots of past resources on this subject. Go search out using the left frame of this forum for words like " by ranking "

It does not mean that this type of fountain is an excellent choice e.g. for the living room area. Given all the clues that it is so; yet, one can reproduce an exact replica of it and ask: is this the correct fountain to use? * Shake my head * In my opinion, most of us, even myself (to blame) may have paper qualfications, not because we are smart but rather, we only know how to regurgitate word for word what we read in our books. I like to say that we Singaporeans who had studied locally are good "photo-copiers". We are great at mimicking all these. I hope I did not found it out too late, when one day I stared in the mirror and realised how "condemned" our education system was... That was at least 20 years ago... The writer of the article, below used the most relevant sentence:- " The Singapore education system is good for testing and grading. " I totally agree with the above : SGP = COPYCAT degrees = Xerox creativity! Let's hope that this can change. Is this one of the reasons why many of the large Singapore corporations are (or have to be) run by foreign talents? == START == Source & Credit: http://www.tremeritus.com/2012/03/21/only-fools-will-claim-singapore-education-is-good/ Only fools will claim Singapore education is good March 21st, 2012 | Author: Contributions I graduated from an Australian university. Yes, Singapore students do better in math and science. But do you know that Australians are better than Singapore students in law, critical thinking, arts, medical?etc? My advice to you is stop reading Straits Times. Go to Australia, stay there and experience for yourself. By the way, each year our government send hundred of Singapore students to Australia under PSC scholarship. If their universities are that bad, would our government keep sending them each year? Also, do ask our dear President (Tony Tan) and PAP members where do they graduate from? Although Maths and Science are both essential for the development of a nation, but the over emphasis of the two subjects in some of the Asia countries education curriculum has made students become study robots and follow formulas blindly without knowing the actual applications of these formulas. This is actually a very sad fact as the education system that only emphasis on the exam results had failed to open the creative thinking part of a child. Making them study for the sake of exam and not for the sake of acquiring a lifelong skill. From my point of view, changes like the use of creative thinking skills must be inculcated in younger generations if any of the Asian countries want to compete with the Western countries in terms of innovations and developments of the nation. This is actually something very important as the behavior and the developments of a nation will start from root of good education that enables the student to think and innovate, and not to follow blindly. I have seen many local grads and sad to say, most of them have attitude problems. They are only good at office politics but has no interests in learning. They keep emphasizing that they scored good grades in Uni and they do not have to learn new things at work because to them, good grades mean everything and preferably can get a high pay every month without doing anything. What makes them worse is that they actually look down on Poly grads, which I do not understand and can never understand their mindsets. In fact, I?m more worried about our future. Can we depend on this kind of person to be our leader when we grow old? Will they lead us to a better life? Or they will actually lead us to hell??? I did my degree overseas and it opened my eyes to the amazing things or should I say, incredible things, that people in this country have done and can do, using their education or what they know. I?ve been to country fairs where the English retired men showcased the little steam engines they built in their backyard as a hobby (You should see the smile on the old men?s faces when their automotive rides gave children so much joy). They used what they learnt in almost everything from food tech to flying, and more importantly they carrying on learning. Despite the so called first world education system, Singapore isn?t any better than Taiwan or Hong Kong. At least in these countries, we can see some signs of innovation and creativity, Singapore has the worst education system ever to be found in the world and I say this as a FACT. The Singapore education system is good for testing and grading. Any education system that wants the easy way out will choose this system. Today?s world is not all about measurements, is it? What does that do for our children though? Measurement puts grades and systems first, children 2nd. That is not education. I hear people say that Singapore education is the best in the World. I just feel that some of these top people have no qualms in misleading the people of Singapore. It is darn sad! 17. You wrote: "The renovation is practically making the old house new. I hacked 2 main walls to move the rooms to the right, change the main door, move the toilets, replace all doors and windows, gate, new fence, jack up the roof to make ceiling higher but roof tiles remain, new floor tiles, new plaster ceiling, new wiring for the whole house. Will this change the period of the house or no?" Please do a search on the top left frame of this forum with the words "change to period 8". There are already tons of information on the above. More importantly:- 1. Go check out that there are two different schools of thought: one of which is the conservative thinking. 2. No living Geomancer can claim to be an expert in this field. As I had mentioned previously; this period change occurs only every 20 years. And even if a geomancer starts his/her career at an early age, the occurrence of period change is but only a few instances. 2.1. In addition, there are no major studies done on this. Perphaps, if any of the readers here, want to get a PHD or doctorate, may consider doing it on this subject.... "then you will be a Dr. specialising in not only Fung Sway but much higher than a Feng Shui MASTER in terms of your paper qualifications. 3. It is not too late! Why? 3.1. If you really want to know, do it yourself. How? 3.2. As I had mentioned in past forum messages; if you intend to stay in the home for "donkey" years orat least several years; you should PLOT a flying star chart with the OLD and NEW period. 4. Here, since or if you had stayed in or could research into the past, check which chart is better! 5. Honestly, as mentioned under para 2, in this "Change of Period thing" even me an "old man" of 52 years of age is no expert in this area. You do your maths. 6. Furthermore, make sure that your intention to fly is to a "better" period. And not regress or think that every Tom Dick and Harry home needs to change it's period. One of the sayings goes "if it AIN"T broken, Don't FIX IT!" applies.
  18. 1. You asked: "Also, is there any problem if I renovate the house during Chenbeng period? When is the auspicious date to renovate during this time?" 1.1 Again, do you know that the question you had asked aboutthe taboos of Qing Ming (Chenbeng) period has also to do with Common Sense. 1.2 Although Qing Ming is an activity, we can still use this concept:- The Three-Step-Approach 1.3 To try to piece-out the common sense of it. 2. For example, what is Qing Ming. 2.1. Qing Ming firstly falls on 4th April and it is suppose to be the day when a CHINESE remember their ancestor and pay homage to their grave or if cremated, the location that the urn is housed. 2.2. For the Chinese, why it is considered disrespectful for a Chinese to do MAJOR activity such as moving house ONE week before and ONE week after western date: 4th April. 2.3. Of course, some even go the extreme and say don't do such activities like: going on a holiday and moving house in the MONTH of April since Qing Ming falls on that day. 2.4. Para 2.2 above is based on Common Sense. Here, the argument is "You (CHINESE) should be paying your respects to the decendents and not move house during Qing Ming". 3. However, common sense says that in modern times, there is such thing as multi-tasking. 3.1. What is wrong to first visit an ancestor's grave say anytime one week prior to or even on 4th April and then afterwards, make plans to move home. 3.2. For example : visit ancestor's grave on 4th April. And from 5th April onwards, move house. 3.3. Here, one has already visited the grave. And common sense says that how to be disrespectful to the ancestor if we had done it? 4. Don't you think that this is common sense or cow sense? 5. In addition, Qing Ming is about or suppose to be going to the grave site, and when I was young, we always look forward to it. As the grave site would already be cleaned up by (paid gardeners who are paid yearly to look after the grave of the loved ones). 5.1 We used to "play" with coloured papers and insert all these between the grass growing on the top surface of the grave.... 6. You wrote: "Personal guas for husband and wife are 2 earth and 7 metal." Please note that your personal guas has in general no reference to Qing Ming. You can be any Gua or Kua number. Totally irrelevant!
  19. These are some considerations: 1. Type of House Direction of Facing Direction Excellent House N1 (337.5-352.4) , N2 (352.5-7.4) , N3 (7.5-22.4) , E1 (67.5-82.4) , S1 (157.5-172.4) , S2 (172.5-187.4) , S3 (187.5-202.4) Auspicious House E2 (82.5-97.4) , E3 (97.5-112.4) , SE1 (112.5-127.4) Auspicious/Average but Unsuitable House Inauspicious House NW2 (307.5-322.4) , NW3 (322.5-337.4) , NE1 (22.5-37.4) , NE2 (37.5-52.4) , NE3 (52.5-67.4) , SE2 (127.5-142.4) , SE3 (142.5-157.4) , SW1 (202.5-217.4) , SW2 (217.5-232.4) , SW3 (232.5-247.4) , W1 (247.5-262.4) , W2 (262.5-277.4) , W3 (277.5-292.4) , NW1 (292.5-307.4) 1.2 Please see sample, above. 1.3 The above has a very critical impact on a person's Feng Shui. 1.4 For example, let's say, you are the above person. And either by chance or prior to that, you had looked at which were your best facing home. 1.5 Thus, if this person had chosen a home that faces say S2 (172.5-187.4). In such a situation, even if your bedroom is at your total loss direction is not an issue. Given that there are other considerations. 1.6 In addition, often in order for a home to have bad Feng Shui; the above is important and in addition, homes that have poor Feng Shui are those that have 3 or more major "leaks" or flaws. 1.7 For example if the current home is NW1 (292.5-307.4) and in addition, the above person's bedroom is at their total loss sector, then in simple terms we can easily say that the amount of major leaks start to stack-up. 1.7.1 Sometimes in such a situation where the house is inauspicious for the breadwinner, this can even constitute as much as or just this "leak" can be equal to 2 or more leaks which will have already met the "quota" for "leaks" and flaws. And with a "total loss" in the master bedroom - even makes it more severe! 2. Summary of Sample Person's (Owner/Breadwinner) Eight House Chart. Direction Location Status suitable for North-West Spook Bad: Uneasy, theft, robbery and financial loss. Storeroom or toilet. North Health Good: Ideal situation for speedy recovery. Beds, doors, master bedroom and the dining table. North-East Irritation Bad: Petty annoyances, disease, headaches, theft and infidelity. Toilet or kitchen. West Death Bad: Poor health, accidents, misfortune and loss. Storeroom or toilet. East Excellent Very Good: Prime Location, ideal for vitality Front door, beds and religious altars. South-West Disaster Bad: Quarrels, frustration, disputes and legal problems. Storeroom or toilet. South Prosperity Good: The Best location. Money luck and promotion. door, room doors, kitchen door, beds, working desks. South-East Longevity Good: Ideal for health. Beds, bedrooms and dining table. Extracted from Geomancy.net's Good House Hunting Report 2.1 Para 2 is to show you that in a scientific setting of Feng Shui, some of the above, if at the wrong locations especially for the breadwinner will further increase the number of "leaks" be it major or minor - this has to be looked into closer. 3. Common sense says that all of us will ask: 3.1. Why bring up all these since I have already purchased the home?3.2. The above is especially for the benefit of those reading who have yet to purchase their home. Nowadays, especially since 4 years ago; many now get help to select a home or apartment even before they place a deposit on the home. 3.3. In your case (WE know) this is not going to happen. 4. You will ask then, what should I do?4.1 Common sense says that you should:- The Concept of Maximizing Marks 5. Other Considerations5.1. Erh.. don't ask me how to maximize marks if one does not do a Feng Shui Triage 5.2. Often, due to Fake Feng Shui, many of us go to a Geomancer and they will always recommend rubbish commercial products in thename of Feng Shui ... "to beautify" your home. For example, place this object, here, that object there. 5.3.All such commercial products havehigh profit margins and these Fake or Con artitst Geomancers aim is to drain one of their money. 5.4. Other concepts to take note especially if one has done a properFeng Shui Triage:- Fix-the-Leak, First!
  20. Slim chance means there is still some glimmer of hope. Fat hope means really no hope at all.
  21. Luck Periods often range between +30 to -30. +30 being best to -30 being extremely bad.
  22. There is a score attached to each of the 10 year luck period(s). For example a score of 0 = zero is neutral. While a positive score of say 22 means that if this is one's Lucky 10 year period, this should be a very good lucky period. While a negative score of say -26 means that the 10 year period is extremely bad as compared to an unlucky 10 year period of a score of say -6. The later means that the period although one does not have heaven luck with that person, it is not the worst period. Please see attachment.
  23. 1. This question belongs to one of those:- Feng Shui Triage 2. It is no use to just say: "I am a weak wood element person...suitable play with it?" 3. So what if every Tom, Dick and Harry is a weak wood element person? Don't you think that there are more than this simple three letter words?
  24. The best clue, here is to look at the origin of the concept or theory. GEOMANCY & FENG SHUIFeng Shui has two major theories: 1. Shapes and Forms 2. Compass School Feng Shui: Eight House (Gua / Kua) and Flying Star. Thus, based purely on common sense, there are two common denominators in the above. See them (above in red and bold). Since Kua or Gua is meant more for Feng Shui best direction, common sense says that when you are applying directions (Compass School of Feng Shui); then Kua or Gua should be used in this case. GEOMANCY & CHINESE HOROSCOPE Being purely a snake or a rat or a pig or a tiger etc... belongs to another branch of Geomancy i.e. Chinese Horoscope. Again, based on common sense, one simply don't mix one branch of Geomancy: Horoscopes with Feng Shui
  25. These are some considerations: You wrote: "Since the renovation is more than 30% of the house, I'd consider it will be changed to Period 8 house?" One word says it all: " Fathope". For the other question, please refer to the attached, meter....
