    Hi Master
I wish to understand more fengshui tips:
(1)What is the purpose of putting flower printed sticker or paper on the door of the toilet?
    (2) Can I put a extra round mirror (1 side normal mirror , another side with magnifying mirror) in my bathroom.
    (3) What is the difference between 2 fire stoves and 3 fire stoves. I had been told to change to 3 fire stoves.
    (4) Is it ok to put children books and toys near the altar of buddha (same wall)?
(5)I been told soft toys are not good for children in term of fengshui. Does there a difference between big and small toys. Is it true?

    I am a female born in 1970, 14 Aug
In office , I am sitting facing east with my back empty (no support). People passing by can look at
my back. Is this ok? I am thinking to shift my desk to have better feng shui as I find my position is not good. Recently my health, luck and working
    relationship
    are getting worse.
    I have 2 options:
    (1) face west with my back having partition supporting(but electrical point is behind me on the floor)
    (2) face south with open cubinet behind me and overhead cubinet above me.
I been told yellow colour is my lucky colour. So what can I put on my office desk to enhance my luck and health
I prefer the 1st option . Is it ok to face west according to my birthdate?
    Pls advise
    Thanks

    Hi Cecil
I had a two year old kid. My mother told me that frog leg is good for my kid's leg strength. So I bought the fresh frog from wet market for a few times and cook porridge for my kid.
But now , one of my friend who is a strong buddhist, told me I am doing a sinful thing by buying the frog. He said that although I did not kill the frog but I saw the frog being killed and skinned and I unintentionally kill them. He told me to chant Buddisht words and don't buy frogs again.
He advise me even if I want to buy any meat or frog, I should buy them when they are killed. Not to buy something alive and killed in front of me. He told me the spirit will not be rest as the frog is not being prayed. The frog may come to revenge.
He told me that I should try not to eat meat so that it is not so sinful...I told him that the frog leg is good for babies and frozen frog leg is not so fresh. But now, I dare not buy fresh frogs. I regretted to buy the frog and a bit scared.
    (1) Will there be retribution to me and my family?
    (2) What shall I do? How to make the frog rest in peace? By chanting?
    (3) Do U know what kind of food can I replace the frog by giving the same vitamins and strength to my baby's body?
    Thanks

    Hi Cecil
Acutally My kitchen door is near the main door, so is it ok ? My stove is facing the kitchen door and The kitchen door also directly facing the windows in the living room. Will this consider qi flowing out. I read from your resources portion that it is better to keep the heat of the stove in the house. So will the heat of my stove flow out thro the kitchen door and then out thro' the window in living room. Can I hang a cloth/curtain at the kitchen door ?
    Thanks

    The good thing about `older'

Since U mentioned the qi cannot flow direct from main door to back door. Is it ok that one of the window in the balcony face door of main door and thro door of the bedroom and straight thro the window in the bed room.
What I mean is drawn as follows:

    Dear Cecil,
I loved this home that we

sure if it is good for me. I
have noticed it does not have
    very good chi. The first
    owners got divorced and the
    second owners lost everything,
so we purchase this home on a
    foreclosure sale. The house
faces the end of a road that
curves to a court. I had
    placed a metallic woodchime
(my sign is metal). It faces
east, while my lucky side is
west, so I put another set of
house number on the west side
    of the home. Additionally, we
use the entrance door from the
    garage more often than the
    front door, but this entrance
    door faces directly to the
    back sliding door. What
should I do besides putting a
plant to block the flow. The
master bedroom is on top of
the garage, so what should I
do to counteract that? I have
    a swimming pool at the
backyard, when it is best to
have water in front of the
    house. How should I bring
about a good chi with that
    situation? And finally, I
read that the wealth point is
on the top left hand corner of
the room, while a photo in the
    book shows lower left corner
of the room? Which is the
    right corner and should I
    place a plant with rounded
leaves and 3 coins on the
    corner? When do you use
    crystal mobile and where would
    you put it?
These are a lot of questions

    Dear Cecil
If the north is not good and my main door is facing north, can I put 6 coin above my main door. But there is a chinese "FU" put on top of my door frame, will these two crash?
If there is a overhead beam in my living room and there is a dinning table underneath the beam (no space to move the table further away from the beam), can I put the 6 coins on the beam? I know that by placing flute can dissolve but I cannot find small flute.
    Thanks

    Question 1:
    Could you please advice me
    where to hang this "picture",
    it has water fall, sharp
    mountain, temple, birds and
    river, both myself and my
husband are born in year 1965,
    and our house entrance is
    facing North/slight
    north-west.
If you are in doubt, please do not hang
    the picture.
Else, you have to go by "trial and
error" especially if you are not relying
    on Feng Shui analysis.
    Question 2:
Since facing north is not good
for this year. We had just
    hang a wind chime (ceramic
with metal rod) on top of the
    entrance's door frame. Is
    this ok? Please advice.
    Although, generally, north is not
`good', it does not mean that the
immediate cure is a wind chime.
Usually, one has to look at fully
analyse that specific sector in relation
to a person's home as it depends on the
degree or direction of the main door.

of my main door? 3 months or 6

    1. This is considered `peanuts Feng
Shui'. No one is going to get a quantum
leap by removing a shoe rack.
There are many other considerations: It
can be the individual, the home etc...
    2. When we do a full audit, e.g. if you
see cases of helping those with
problems, we use all the available
methods to map out the situation and
    then tackle the various issues.
    3. If one thinks that changes such as
closing the toilet door can also change
things this is where, it is wrong.
In the first place, in the example of
the toilet door, if the toilet is
already at a bad location, what more can
    one do?
    4. If there is lots of water behind the
house and unprotected, removing the shoe
    rack will not help.
Or if there is a poison arrow aimed at
the house. This would not help either.
    5. How suitable is one to the house.
    This is another important question.
    6. Usually, quantum leap, would not
occur if one already stays in the house
for a few years and life is relatively
    much the same.
May I know is it ok if my baby
and I sleep in the centre of
the bedroom? This is becos I
    want to avoid the overhead
beam of the ceiling on the
    side of the bedroom. Therefore
I need to shift the bed
mattress a bit out to the
    centre.
    This is possible.

    Hi Cecil
From the animated diagram, one should stand in the centre of the house facing out the main door.
All the while, I thought is standing at the main door facing out. So there is a difference between the two method.
My main door is actually what is shown in the animated diagram, so I must stand in the middle of the house facing out main door direction just like the anminated man, right?

    Hi Cecil
The in house shoe rack is built in cabinet with door closed, is this ok?
For the "open" shoe rack outside my house, as there is no more space in my HDB flat, can I camouflage by covering it up with a cloth? Pls advise.
I believe a lot of people in Singapore has the same scenario as me.
I know the shoe rack is not so good at either inside/outside the main door but due to the size of the flat, there is no other place to put. And I believe shoes cannot put in store room and bed room. Not only becos of feng shui but also bad smell.

    Dear Anon,
    1. I believe this is an `open'
    question for now.
    2. So far, it is my opinion
that one should keep the shoe
    rack inside the house.
In my home, I keep it in away
from the main entrance door. I
have a shoe rack at the back
    of my home.
When I return home, I bring
the shoes to the shoe rack at
the back of the house (which
is next to the waste bin).
    3. This is my personal habit.
    Although it is quite
    inconvenient, I managed to do
so. Don't ask me why, but this
is how my family does it.
    4. In Singapore, I do notice
    quite alot of private homes,
    do not leave their shoes
    outside the house. Perhaps
    they are too expensive.
    5. However, I do see many
    people, do have shoe racks
    either outside (immediately
    outside their house) or just
    immediately inside their
    house.
    6. Frankly, as there is little
    study on the overall effects
on Qi in the home, one has to
    decide for yourself.
    7. Some of us will always have
    the habbit of leaving their
    shoes, understandably out of
    convenience especially if it
    is a landed property.
    8. For others, it is for fear
    of being stolen especially if
    expensive shoes are left out
    in an apartment.
    9. Each of us have to make our
    own personal judgements.
    10. Under Feng Shui, the main
    entrance door is like the
`mouth' of the house. This is
    one consideration, for Feng
    Shui `believers'.
    And this topic can be
    subjected to different views
    as it is "invisible" to
    everyone and secondary to Feng
Shui. Where we should get our
    basics right first.
    Warmest Regards,
    Cecil

    1. If I remember correctly, a

    will not know about what
    you've done until you seek
them out again. In which case
    - if they use little ghosts -
he/she will ask them to tell

    little worry there.
    2. Usually if something bad
happens to you, it's from the

ghosts are under the "care" of
the medium, who is usually a
    good person. So there is
    little chance of this
    happening too. Unless of

    I'm afraid I can't comment

But there is no cabinet edge behind me . The cabinet is one whole stretch wall mounted from one wall to another wall. There is a middle size opening shelf behind me. The rest of the cabinet are enclosed.
How can I camouflage the opening as the cabinet is unmovable and no matter how I shift forward the table (not much space left), the opening is still behind me

    Hi Cecil
Recently, I feel very unlucky and look for a geomancy/chinese medium recommended by friend.
I make a remark to my friend that the geomancy/chinese medium is not so accurate after consulting her.
Will these people know as I heard some of these people had little ghosts find out things for them?
Is it dangerous if she use the bazhi (she got my bazhi and name) to do evil things to me? If yes, what should I do?
I believe in buddhism that evil people do evil deeds will have bad ending but I still not feeling safe.
    Thanks

    Hi Cecil
Me again. I am dog year (1970) , fire element. Lucky element is wood
(1)I had placed a small bamboo plant on my metal hifi cabinet. Is this ok?
    (2) I had also place one laughing buddha and one god of wealth on my TV. Both status are individually sealed inside a round plastic with water and a few gold coins. Are these ok too?
(3)I had put two pineapple decoration on my hifi speaker (the speakers are hanged on the wall). My one-seater sofa is under one of the hifi speaker. Does this consider a "overhead beam"?
    (4) Is it ok for both adult and baby to wear other people old clothes? Or is it only good for baby but not adult?
    (5) Is it true that one's main door and walls should not hang too much decoration? If yes,is it ok to hang new yr decoration and take out when the 15th days of new year is gone?
    (6) My house is surrounded my schools. One of the school building has a /\ shaped roof top pointing at my master room. But my floor level is higher than that building. Is this consider poison arrow? If yes, what will it affect me and how can I solve this?
There is another cone shaping (look like a rocket) building with sharp roof top infront of my master room too. Does this also consider poison arrow? Pls see the below shape.

    Hi Cecil
Recently , I find that there is no career advancement, get sick easily when working and little people coming out from my workplace. Therefore I need your guidance on whether the following things are causing the above problem troubles:
    (1) I am a fire element born in dog year (1970). My lucky element is wood. I am working as a document engineer. Can I place a small plant on desk? If yes, which type of plant is suitable and place at my right or left side?
    (2) I am sit facing north . Behind me there is a built-in wooden cabinet with a open shelve. The cabinet also has a extension cabinet out over my head (look like a overhead beam)
I learnt that sitting with opening shelves behind you and overhead beam above you are not good. What can I do about this as I cannot remove the cabinet? How can I cover up the opening?
    (3) I put some small soft toys, a chinese new year decoration (orange symbol with chinese word and two bells) , a apple crystal on my computer and monitor. I also put my vitamins, a cup and radio on my desk.
Are these ok? Will it affect anything?
    (4) Are there any things else that I can improve the chi in my working place?
    Thanks
