My backyard is on the soutwest area and the garage on the northeast, I dont know if they are considerer as part of the house? Does feng shui apply on them?

1. The idea is to find the "center of gravity" of a home. This "center of gravity" is one of the key success factors in drawing or drafting especially the Flying Star "pie chart" commonly used to analyse the "birth-chart" of a home.


2. For novices, if a house has too many indents or protrusions, then one may consider "cutting-out" the outline of the layout plan. And use paste this on to a card-board. Here, again the idea is to cut-out the outline of the home. And balancing a pin or nail to located the centrepoint.


3. IF POSSIBLE, the garage and backyard i.e. non-living areas should NORMALY be excluded. Again it depends on the layout plan as often part of the garage protudes or even indents into the layout plan. If so, part of the garage may be used to find the centrepoint and these area(s) treated as a protusion or indent.
