1. In general, traditionally the Chinese 7th month (especially) certain days is considered auspicious. Nowadays, just because the Chinese 7th "Ghost" month happens to be in the 7th month, many thus construe that it is not an auspicious period.

2. For other races e.g. Indians, they have their own "7th month" which is not in the Chinese 7th month.

3. Overall, we read about many, many Chinese in China getting married on this "auspicious sounding" date. Thus many seem to think it is a good date
