THE DEVELOPMENT BANK OF SINGAPORE *JOKE*

A local bank has decided to retrench 900 staff before Christmas, this year.

The CEO, asked one of his Senior Managers (SM), if you were to decide who to go, I like to know how you select those to be retrenched.

The Smart Senior Manager (SM), first asked a question of his CEO: "Sir, may I know what Chinese zodiac sign are you?"

CEO.... wondering why his SM asked this question. But, being curious, the CEO said: "Oh, I am a horse!".

SM: "Thanks! I know who we should "get rid off" (retrenched)!"

CEO: "Wow, I think I found the right person! You have a strong conviction. Curious, what is your choice and why?"

SM: "1. Both of us are a horse".
"2. According to the Chinese zodiac, Horse's worst enemy is the RAT".

SM: "By getting rid of the rat, you are doing a good service to all of us - horses!"

CEO: " I am impressed!" "But, I cannot implement your suggestion!"

SM: "WHY?"

CEO: "The Chairman is a RAT!"

SM: "Oops!"

Later that day, the Chairman sent a pink slip to all those born in the year of the HORSE! Get it??
