Posted December 1, 200816 yr Master Lee,For an S2 and S3 facing home, the mountain star 8 and water star 8 are located in the South. The South represents fire element so if we enhance the water star 8 with a water feature, then is it true that water destroys fire? So in that case, the positive effects of the water star 8 becomes destroyed? However some FS practitioners say that water and fire creates steam - so in effect, their combination is positive. So which is which? Does water destroy fire? Or do water and fire complement each other because it creates steam - and thus their combination is positive?
Posted December 3, 200816 yr Staff 1. Currently, as we are under Period 8, in general, the rule of thumb is that it is advantages to activate a water feature (especially the frontage) of the home if there is a combination of the very auspicious double #8's.2. Thus, whatever argument is indicated, a proper water feature, can be activated (especially if it has all the five elements) in it.To recap: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/arowanafish.htmUnder Para 2.10, the best beneifit is to have a water feature that have all 5 elements in it. Here, once one has a five elements flow; this should be the proper way to explain the concept why a water feature can be placed at a location with MS#8 and WS#8.3. The argument that water destroy fire etc... is a "childish" way of explaining it. As it does not sound so convincing, rite? Thus the educated way is via Five Elements concept. Plus the fact that under Period 8, anything to do with #8 has a significant advantage.4. Thus because of the "kindergarten" explanation (below), it will cause confusion and less convincing way of describing it.Amanda Y. wrote:Master Lee, For an S2 and S3 facing home, the mountain star 8 and water star 8 are located in the South. Posted December 3, 200816 yr Thanks for the explanation Master Lee. I guess the word "destroy" is not apt ?but rather that water "exhausts" fire.
