Hello (singapore?)

Ringing you up from Canada! I am looking at a prospective flat for myself. The living is an unobstructed view to the Northern snow mountains, but unfortunately, there is a power / telephone pole at the 1/4 position in front of the living room balcony. Of course, power wires stem from both ends of it and run right across myopen viewThis is raising all kinds of alarms amongst my elders!

Anyway way of diffusing this?

Thank you in advance.

Photo I took, followed by two photos of the real estate ad of this unit:

1. Yes, it is good that your family members highlight their concern with the telephone pole. As this is an external factor and difficult or near impossible to "get rid" off!

2. From the two pictures, I cannot really see the whole situation, but so long as the telephone pole slices any of the windows, into a room then it is cause for concern. As sometimes, curtains or windows may be drawn open.

3. The concept: "if it is not seen, it is no longer a threat". Thus, it may look like the telephone pole is at one side of the window, if so, check to see if placing day curtains may help to obsure this view. If so, then this is a "simple" cure.

4. Otherwise, if really in doubt, look elsewhere.

Master Lee,

Thanks for your feedback. I might also add that upon entry into this flat, the pole is immediately visible beyond the balcony glass doors. In short, it bisects the flat right from balcony to main door.

I suppose this is really a no, no?

Sorry, I am not sure if I got you correctly. But, as I mentioned earlier, the test is to stand inside the home e.g. at the main door : looking out of it or in the home looking out of the window. If one can directly see it "aimed" or "slicing" the window, then this is considered as a poison arrow.

Otherwise, even if can see the pole but it is at the side of the window (not slicing the window in anyway, this is actually not a real threat. But rather can be called an illusional view - thus if this is the case, no issue).
