We are west group persons- kua7 &8. We will start building our home this year 2009. That makes it a period 8 house.
Our rectangular lot is sitting west facing east(Tui lot). Back yard is along northwest, west and southwest. The north and south sides are the long side of the rectangle with both sides adjacent to our neighbors' property. Only access to our lot from the road is from the east side. Now we are confused where should we face our main door.
I understand East and Southeast are inauspicious directions for us. While Northeast is devil's door. How should we position our main door? facing East or NE?

2. For example, a frontage at NE and East will vastly affect how the water (rain water) drains from your plot of land to out of your home. This may sound very simple, but in general for most homes, there are often two directions wheredrainage will equate with Wealth and the third direction will equate with "Power and Authority" for the person staying there.

3. The saying goes " a little knowledge is a dangerous thing"! And for proper Feng Shui to work, it is needs a holistic approach.

4. What you are trying to practise is both "Fast Food" and "kindergarten" Feng Shui. No wonder, many later blame why Feng Shui cannot work. It is also similar to the concept of "a bad workman always blames their tools" not themselves!

5. It is better in the above example to throw a coin and see (Head = East?) and (Tails = NE)? Try to use the coin and check the result. You should have your answer, here.
