Our land has 4 sides, almost rectangular because the front side is longer than the back side. We understand that this should be avoid, but we have no other better choice.

We would like to know if we can use any cure for this. Is it OK if I place a light at both ends of the back side?

Attached is the plot plan:

1. Frankly, although your plot of land is irregular; in my opinion, it is considered "mild" or not extremely irregular. Overall, if you don't do anything, it is quite minor. As compared to many other plot of land.

2. The eastest way to "fix" this mild irregularity is to have some kind of landscaping for area marked in Red as "C".

3. You may alos place lighting at markings in red "A" and "B". But, in my opinion, either you can still do nothing or go for para 2.

4. As for the frontage, no major concern for this plot of land. (With our without a light at the corner - no issue) at all.

The best solution is as illustrated previously, is to do landscaping "behind" the home. Best lightfixtures shouldpreferably form a "square or rectangular" shape as far aspossible: just imagine froma helicopter view.
