I have a floorplan that has a second floor that is half of the size of the first. I am confused with the layout of the stars because if you look at an apartment and how you would judge the space on the area occupied, then the layout would get smaller like a tai ji instead of just brought up from the first floor losing some of the palaces in the process. Any thoughts?

Also, for an apartment, is the door direction considered the apartment facing direction or the main door to the building?

Here is the second floorplan in question. As you see, in this image the flying stars are brought straight up from the second floorplan. But if the get 'squeezed' to fit the second floor then things change dramatically - placing the 2-5 combo in the bathroom/closet area instead of the bedroom which may be more suitable for my girls.
