My sister has bought a new apartment which is under construction at present.

I had like to add here, just for your information, that as of now my sister's Husband is the Breadwinner of the house. My sister is currently unemployed. And her husband isn't doing well in his career - neither growth wise nor monetary wise. She also hasnot been getting any job opportunities either.

My main concern is that per Indian Vastu & I guess Feng Shui also, I understand that SOUTH WEST is not a good direction for a Kitchen. And per the Flying Stars of their new apartmentwhich Facies East, theirKitchen is exactly located inthe SOUTH WEST corner of the apartment.

What remedy would you suggest? Please advice.

My Sister's: DOB: 05-Feb-1980 & TOB - 00:55 A.M. (midnight)

2. In my opinion, Vastu (Indian art of "Feng Shui") is more of Shapes and Forms. For example, several buildings that were constructed in India based on Vastu are buildings with an "eye" for "perfect" measurements on advice of your Vastu practitioners.

3. Under Feng Shui, both Shapes and Forms and Compass Schools are used widely.

4. For example, in a recent reply, I referred to "The Last Heaven Sequence" Ba Gua Trigram. This is used in Feng Shui.

5. And what is more important is the sector NW. Where if a kitchen especially the stove is at the NW cardinal point:-

5.1. Heaven Luck - luck from heaven is blocked or burned
5.2. NW is associated with the head of the house = Male Bread-winner.

6. Thus, on one hand, 5.1. = No heaven luck. In addition, Kitchen at NW = "Fire at Heaven's gate" extremely bad for the male bread-winner.

7. I attach again The Last Heaven Sequence chart. SW is associated with the Earth. While NW is the Heaven. So based on this interpretation; Fire can be on earth. So no major significance - HERE

Honestly, in addition to your previous comments, it is essential to consider Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; as it is challenging to fully understand solely through written descriptions.

Even a simple aspect such as the size of the balcony can be influenced by direct afternoon sunlight, etc...
For instance, if a water feature is consistently or daily exposed to direct sunlight from the west, it will experience a high rate of evaporation.

In this case, if the balcony lacks a water tap, it won't be long before the individual may resemble the hunchback of Notre Dame. Alternatively, with significant evaporation, some individuals may lack the perseverance to maintain the water feature, resulting in stagnant water that eventually dries up.

Moreover, moisture can enter the room connected to the balcony. Such a water feature may contain dirty water (moisture) that can seep into the room, increasing its humidity.

Additionally, excessive sunlight may lead to algae growth in the "contaminated water feature."

Having a water feature in the garden located in the southwest is acceptable or fine. Typically, there is a space that separates you from this water feature. Sometimes, individuals may find the water feature excessively noisy, particularly if the balcony is adjacent to a (master) bedroom.

Often, a comparison can be made to someone wishing to place a fish tank for Feng Shui purposes. However, this situation differs for a fish enthusiast. The latter willingly maintains a fish tank, while the former may feel compelled to care for it and likely view it as a chore to manage a water feature.
