Red or black? Auspicious or Inauspicious? Taboo?

An interest article. In Singapore where the vast majority are Chinese, many hindus (Indians) also have the opinion that dark colours e.g. black is considered inauspicious.

In fact on the contrary, for the Hindus, black is a favourable colour; just that many are not aware of it. And perhaps, assume that just because the Chinese associate black with "death" or "gloom"; they chose to do the same...
