I am bit confused on deciding on the best work position. Should I take my office as the entrance per Bagua or it has to be based on the real direction it is being faced?

It should be based on the real direction one is facing.

Please see attached illustration. Did you notice the work table?

This person's best work directions are: South and East. (SE and North) are acceptable directions.

Thususe a compass and check where is the north compass point. And then best to sit facing the good direction as shown in the example for an East group person.
