Are sleeping lofts inauspicious in vaulted ceiling rooms?

We will be moving into a new home in the Spring of 2000 which has many vaulted ceilings throughout. Our loft bedroom is quite small and we would be able to use the space more effectively if we could build a sleeping loft. It would be centered under the peak of the vault and about 3 feet at away at the closest point to the ceiling. I am worried that this will cause a 'divide' or 'separation' in our marriage or might, in other ways, be negative.
Also, because it is a loft, there is no door to our room; since it is bad for a marriage to hang curtains (or can you, if they do not have a pointed top?), can we instead hang a beaded curtain?
My son's room (he is one year old) will also have vaulted ceilings (from 8-20 feet tall). Is it auspicious to paint the ceiling like a sky, or should we drape fabric to create a false ceiling?

Dear Berth,

Currently, it is difficult to imagine the loft you mentioned. Therefore, I can only provide feedback on certain aspects.

1. A straight staircase to the loft is not as desirable as one with a landing and turns.

2. The higher the vaulted ceiling, the better, but a 20 feet height is ideal.

3. Painting the ceiling like a sky, especially in blue, may result in problems, especially for the breadwinner.

4. If you are concerned about marriage, consider doing a Flying Star chart, especially if the inauspicious sector is in your bedroom.

5. Having a window in the house is good, and it's acceptable to place a curtain.

Related: Please review the option of placing a study area under a bunk bed and utilizing a double decker bed in a separate room for another child, with the child sleeping on the top bunk and the maid sleeping on the bottom bunk.
