Dear Feng Sui Master,
I have heard from my aunt that one cannot go to a wake or funeral and then attend a Birthday celebration the next day. This will bring bad luck to those who do so.
My uncle who is 89 just passed away yesterday and I've a friend's birthday to attend tomorrow.
Is there anything I can do to avoid this bad luck and still attend both the funeral and birthday? Would appreciate your advise, as my health has not been good for the last 5 years.I don't want to unnessary make things worst.
Thanks for giving this free advise.Appreciate it.

These are some of the considerations:-
1. Dying of old age or natural death: In a way, attending the funeral of a family member who had died of old age is respectable.
2. Especially since, he was your uncle: considered as a family group.
3. Usually after attending the wake, usually we go home bathe and change clothings.
4. And in my opinion, frankly, it is not like a dark shadow is casted on you or other family members that one cannot attend a birthday the next day.
5. All these concerns are in my opinion unfounded. Unless, it is a more "serious" occasion like say attending a wedding of sorts, then some of us have mixed feelings over it.
6. So long as, if by protocol: an uncle either from father or mum's side; when attending activites such as a birthday, then try to avoid wearing flashy clothing.
7. Alternatively, actually this has more to do with family "superstition or beliefs"; do get advice from your seniors : for example some have a grand mum staying with them or parents that highly object to you going to the birthday bash; then (take the opportunity) to convey the regret that you cannot attend it.
7.1 I am sure, if it is your friend or friend's birthday, they should respect or understand your situation.
8. Again, if you have to go for the birthday bash, again, don't wear flashing colours, but definitely not all black sort of colour.
9. The saying goes.. the ball is in your hands...
