These are some considerations:-
1. In my opinion, your question is like ebony and ivory: 20 year or annual (full stop).
2. There are a-lot of considerations even if one wants to say which is more powerful.
3. As mentioned under Para 2, there are indeed ALOT of other considerations. Thus for annual or annual cures, it depends on individual homes and the result may not be similar for every Tom, Dick or Harry. Other factors include: Heaven luck, man or human luck factors, philantrophy, education da da da .de de de da da...
3.1. In theory, of course, based on the most timely stars, logically, an academic would claim that annual is "more powerful". Even so, this is considered short term as it is 1 year or LESS. After that KAPUT!
4. Location, location and location.
There are many people who have not even heard of such thing as Flying stars or even the annual stars. Yet, they have good Feng Shui.
5. Geomancers if we continously tout annual stars are "more powerful" would be filthy rich!
5.1. Just imagine, every year, I have 500 more clients. And just 10 percent take up my annual service; on top of existing clients...
5.2. In my opinion, for every new 1,000 clients; only 15 or less may consider an annual review. So "how powerful is the annual assessment if few take up such a service". They may DIY, but very few would do it religiously year after year.
6. Go check how a geomancer uses the 20 year flying star to balance a home.
7. Like I mentioned, results of say using the annual star may not be the same for everyone. One simple example is: some homes have excellent Flying stars while others have what we call many sectors scattered with bad stars all over.
8. In conclusion: IT DEPENDS!
