I have a small retail center.
the lot is irregular, very narrow in the back and wide in the front.
A site plan is attached. In addition, there is a storm water detention
pond in the front. The pond is dried most of the time unless there is heavy
rain.
I have 2 questions:
1. I have heard that the lot lay out is bad feng shui. Is that true and if so
Is there anything I can I do to remedy it?
2. Is the detention pond in the front good or bad? If it is bad
is there anything I can do to remedy it?

1. Frankly, based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, definitely the large huge rectangular block is not optimium.
2. There can be many other variants. One general view is again roughly like the attachment.
3. More homework has to be done to determine the facing direction; plot flying star chart + analysis. This is beyond this free general advice forum............... ... .. . ... ... ... .. ... .. .. . ..

In general, the "has been" building should have followed any one of the following outlines. See attachment.

Thank you Master Cecil,
Since the building
already exists and we are not able to relocate it, we are interested in
finding a cure for any problem the current building placement/existence of a
detention pond may have. Is this something you can help us through an
off-site consultation? if so, what would the cost be.
Best Regards,

Hi i have a rectangular lot but the front is wider than the back by only 6 meters...is this considered bad (dustpan)? If so what would be the cure for this?

Thank you.

  • 4 years later...

Hi is it ok to buy a plot of land with triangular back yard. Front and sides are all regular straight lines

In fact i have purchase a plot of land back slightly lower with a pointed backyard. The front and the sides is somewhat straignt and regular.  Is it bad fengshui?

Generally quite okay. Given that a glimpse of the plot is still pretty rectangular + service road seems parallel to the frontage.

Slightly lower at the back can easily be addressed or may perhaps even remain.

Hi I can ask help on this lot? My friend said that it bring bad luck. It is true? My friend said it is a blade shape. Smaller front and bigger back.

Hi

is this considered a dustpan lot? Should we reconsider and not buy it?

Cannot see the macro view. But generally, not great.

Hello! Please share your thoughts please on this kind of irregular lot, hoping to find help asap

Nope, the green areas on the map are not homes, it is an area with grass and trees only. Yes left hand drive vehicles :)

Here's a larger view of the map, it is slightly uphill and with a nice view when facing the northwest

1. So long blue and red lines are service roads to the surrounding estate and not busy highways.

2. Also proper design of the home makes or break this site/home.

As mentioned, it depends on the build of this home ie. not perfect plot but not a “fatal error”…plot.

Thanks so much sir! Yes, the blue and red lines are not busy streets at all. Would it be ok for the gate (car entry) be positioned on this side ? (pls see pic)

Yes, for selecting the frontage, someone has to use Feng Shui techniques, prepare and evaluate. And certainly does not come from personal memory.

Furthermore, no one else in this forum is interested if such a home’s…….
