Dear All,
Recently i was reading Lilian Too's Feng Shui & Fortune, the book mention that it will be good if i am able to put a water feature at the south east direction of my house. I am kind of confuse how to determine which direction should i face ? my main door facing out ? or stwanding outside facing in? or is there any method which i am able to get the correct direction of the house which i face in order to place my compass to determine the south east direction.
Please advice.

Frankly, if you are into DIY, then you have to seriously (I really mean) seriously, figure it out.
Even amongst geomancers; there are lots of controversies regarding this subject.
In this forum, please use your fingers to do the walking : use the SEARCH feature. I have already posted sufficient information on this subject.
One thing for sure: "definitely not = standing outside facing inwards, please".

These are the key ingredients:-

1. Understanding the significance of "the mouth" of the home;

2. Flying star is about "the most yang" Qi.

3. an experienced Geomancer often tries to observe a owner's habit

3.1 For example; for an apartment does the owner frequently leave the main door open or slam shut most of the time etc....

4. Other possible measures include drawing up a few charts and if this is existing home, compare it with the past history of the home.
