I read from one of the messages that an altar's facing or sitting position should not beNE or SW. How do I determine the facing of my altar? I attached a sketch.
Do I stand at "X" facing the altar "a" and checkwhere the compass points? Is this the altar's sitting position?

The altar facing is similar in nature to the stove.
Thus, you should instead be standing at A facing X as the direction.
As to the NE or SW, best that the altar is not located at the NE or SW sector of the home; where possible.
