Broadly, this comes under `beliefs'. So it is up to the person or him/her being influenced by someone else making the comments.
In my opinion, if the plant is healthy, does not look like or have a profile of a `monster' or some `unknown' shape are considered acceptable.
If it has spikes like a cactus, then it is considered by some FS practioners to `cure' what they belief are inauspicious locations.
